The Green team is back with another fun challenge at

Craftaholics R Us #16 and our theme is ANYTHING GOES

 

I have always loved this rubber stamp. It's a wood block stamp.. that is how old it is.. LOL.. It's by Carmen's Veranda stamps..

I colored her with copics and added some twine, doodlebug acrylic dots. The sentiment is from the Power Poppy acrylic stamp set.

I love the richness of the colors and cant wait to see your fun cards.

This is my card.. I bought this awesome background die from My Favorite Things in the spring of 2017.. I cut different colors I liked cause knew I would use them.. This is what I came up with on colors. I am loving them.  I wanted to play with Ranger Oxide Inks again .. I need to learn and how better then to use and play. So took a piece of water color paper and a few Oxide inks and squished them on my craft sheet. I then spritzed with water and laid the WC paper in it. I dried and added more inks and spritzed and dried and kept going till I got this beautiful paper. I used a Stampin Up flower die and cut out different flowers. I used Birch Press leaves and Altnew inks.  I die cut the YOU -3 X's and layered them then stamped different sentiments from My Favorite Things.  To complete it I added some Nuvo drops..  I am really really pleased with the look. Hope you like it and it inspires you to play along at Pause Dream Enjoy.

getting cozy - Sunny Day Crafting #66

Hello and wow 5 more days till Christmas..  Hope everyone is done and ready.. and you have free time to get some crafting done.

The Yellow team has a theme for you..

 "Y" is for YELLOW...

 

 

I do like the color yellow but boy I have a hard time using it in crafting.. I did make a Christmas card a few month back with yellow.. but not this time.. I know - I know.. it's almost Christmas time and here I am doing a fall leaf..

I saw this yellow card stock and it was a nice rich yellow so made me think of fall so I got my Stampin up leaf stamp and die and Ranger inks and stamped the leaf. I stamped it a couple more times in just white and adhered them all together to give a sturdy leaf. I knew I wanted to foam mount the leaf. I don't know if you can see it but I stamped the leaf on some shinny silver-ish paper.. So it was not a sturdy cardstock.

I added the Tech. Tues. sentiment.. but the base looked too plain.. So I watered down some dark orange and brown and did the flicks on the card base and everything else within 8 inches..  I then went around the edges with some Ranger ink and mounted the leaf.

I hope you are inspired and even if it's not summer or spring, there are awesome yellow flowers.  I know you will find something YELLOW to create..

Welcome to another challenge at Craftaholics R Us #49

Are you ready for a new challenge..

 The theme is EMBOSS

With the theme being Emboss... I figured I would do both Dry and Wet..

I stamped the angel image and used white embossing powder. I then smooshed Ranger ink on my craft matt and spritzed with water and laid the embossed angel piece in the ink. I dried it and repeated till I got the effect I wanted.

I then took my embossing folder and ran the cardstock through my Vagabond. I went around the edges with some Ranger ink and added the inked angel who is by Stamp Francisco.  The sentiment is ???? I don't know. Both are wooden stamps and the name was not on it.  I added some sequins and Nuvo drops.

Welcome to another challenge at Inspiration Destination #139 -

this challenge is

NOT A SQUARE CARD

 

I decided to take a tag and make a card out of it..
I took a scrap of card stock and cut around the card stock/tag  and scored about 1/2 inch down on card stock side and adhered just that 1/2 inch behind the tag so that you could lift the tag area and write your sentiment on the inside. 
You can see the photo below this one for a side view.

Before the back was added I took the tag and dot embossing folder and embossed it. I then took some scraps from the My Favorite Things die and stamped the sentiments on different colors and added them to the tag. I die cut the YOU from MFT and layered them 3 times and then added YOU to the tag. I stamped the flower from Birch Press and bud with Altnew inks and die cut them out. I took a leaf from Stampin Up set and added this under the bud. I added Spectrum Noir glitter pen all over the flower and bud.  I finished the front with some Nuvo drops.

Oh my where has this month gone?? It will be Christmas in no time..

and as usual I am not ready..

The challenge this week is ANYTHING GOES.. WOO HOO!!

 During these busy days ATG is always a pleasure...

 

 

Since this is a busy time of the year.. I thought why not do a simple card.. This is a Simon Says pre stamped panel.. I just painted  the panel and used a white gel pen to give some highlights.. It was so simple.. Just sit and color..

I think I will stamp ahead some panels so I can just color and use as needed. I might use that as  January.. New Years resolution.. But resolutions usually don't work for me. manly because it's focused on loosing weight..  that doesn't seem to happen.. Especially with Valentines day following in Feb.. CHOCOLATE!! .. Crafting panels might work.. We'll see.

Welcome to a new challenge at Sunny Day Crafting #62

The Yellow team is brining you the new theme  -

 "U" is for UP IN THE AIR

 

 

I don't have hot air balloons or airplanes.. but I do have birds and since I am trying to use OLD wood block red rubber stamps and this one is by Stamp graphic.. I chose this bird.. It's up in the air..  I colored this with Copics and added a little Wink of Stella. I then stamped the Tech. Tues. sentiment.  I went around the edges with Ranger inks. Added sequins with a dot of Nuvo drops in the center.

I love using old stamps.   I hope you can get over to Sunny Day Crafting and see the Yellow Teams creations.

The road to a friends house - Paper Play Sketches

How time flies.. it's been one year today since I have been retired. It's been an awesome year. Looking forward to another wonderful year.

 

Today we have another challenge at

Paper Play Sketches..

 A color challenge.

 

This is the color challenge

I found this designer paper from My Minds Eye and it was perfect for the colors. I used the stamp set from Taylored Expressions for the houses and sentiment and the trees are a Simon Says die. I used a piece of gray from the MME and stamped some circles in white but by the time it dried it was faint so I used a glitter pen and filled in the circles. In person it looks like a night sky which was my attempt. I die cut the flower looking paper with the same circle as the gray and then cut a wave line and used them for the rolling hills for the houses. The houses are colored with copics. The label die is from Stampin up.
