#103 challenge is USE KRAFT

 

I have been thinking of making this card since I received the Simon says stamp set a few months back.. Well I finally did it. I started by stamping the image on kraft with black ink. I then used Fabre Castell color pencils and then when that was done I put the piece back in the Misti and re-stamped with Versa mark and used Antique gold SS embossing powder.  I love the contrast. I then used a scrap of Quick quote paper and cut out the SS Love and layered it 5 times. I then used the same antique embossing powder and stamped the SS sentiment. I finished by adding some Stampin up jewel blings.

Welcome to another challenge at Always Fun challenge.

Our theme for this week is MONSTERS or FAIRIES

 

 

I started with a piece of Kraft and stamped the Taylored Expressions image and sentiment. I colored with pencils. I added some glossy accents to the eyes and tongue and hat top.  I added a ribbon. This was so fast to make and I think it's perfect for a birthday card for that little loving monster in your life..

Welcome back to another fun challenge at Sunny Day Crafting #16

Our theme for this week is BUGS & INSECTS

 

 

Last month I watched a video that Gina K did for Simon Says. She embossed an image and then used Oxide inks and blended the background and added color to the flowers with the oxide as I did the blue and yellow flowers. When she was done she took a small brush dipped in water and went around the embossed part of the image which lifts the ink off of the embossing and some out of the flower. Then when it's dry you take a colored pencil I used Fabre Castell in a color that is close to the Ranger ink color... and add just a little pencil to the shading part then use Gamsol to spread the color out.. So that is what I did. I added the citron twist to the crocus but didn't like the look so I took a purple pencil and added color. Then I stamped and die cut the darling cute precious Pretty Pink Posh bees. I colored them with copics. I added Spectrum Noir sparkle pen to the wings. I added the bees and some gems. The flowers and sentiment is from Simon Says.

I am using the fun cute image called Meg and Bubbly. I received for Christmas from my son and DIL some Faber Castell color pencils.. So I put them to work. I guess I need to get more practice. (I am taking some online color pencil classes but I did not put any of the techniques in this image.) Anyway I colored the image and then used some My favorite things dies to finish the card. I used Paper trey ink happy spring and I think Hero art's Ah Ha!.. but it could be club scrap.. It's old. I hope you play along and have just follow the simple challenge of Easter or spring and sentiment..
