Hello

Aud Sentiments #304 has a new challenge for August

Our theme is

Not a rectangle and or washi tape

I decided to do both, I used a My favorite thing die and first covered with card stock with three different washi prints. I then used the die to cut two pieces and then made a fold on the back piece close to the top and just added adhesive to that top area and added the front. I added a Quick quote sentiment which is on vellum and added the Stampin up leaves and flowers to help hold it down. I added a few gems to to flowers.

Our theme this challenge is

CHRISTMAS PRESENTS

for my card I found this awesome cute paper so I cut it down and using a scrap and My favorite things die cut the circle out. Used Ranger ink to distress the edges. I used some scraps and Simon Says present die and cut the packages out. I added the Stampin up sentiment. I added Washi tape under the presents for a little grounding.

Our letter this week is

R - REDUCE / CAS

For my card I ued Pink and Main sentiment and image. (I won a certificate from another challenge and was so happy to chose this set from my winnings.. it's a great company and awesome images and dies) I used this cute squirrl and stamped him and colored with copics. I took a circle from My favorite things die and using Hampton Arts overall stamp stamped the piece. I added a piece of washi tape for grounding and added the squirrl. I stamped the sentiment that came in the set and using Tech. Tues banner die and added above another strip of washi tape.

We don't have a sponsor this week so it's just for fun.. I dug through some scraps and found this cool plaid paper so then went from there looking for what to do. Saw this darling Newton's nook stamp set so I stamped and colored with copics. I went over different areas with Spectrum Noir sparkle brush. I die cut the square with My favorite things die and added some Washi tape for grounding and added the images and sentiment.

I decided to make a card like the one on the 1st.. Since I knew how to do it I just went with what I knew..  I used Amy Tangerine designer paper and added some washi tape to the front and the My Favorite Things sentiment and also added the bling and MFT chicks.. The inside of the card after I used a Simon Says die to create the circle. The MFT images are all water colored using Mission Gold paints. I added some more Amy Tangerine dp and added the MFT images to another strip of Washi tape. I added the Pretty Pink Posh balloons and a twine bow.

This is the birthday recipe to follow.. 

All the ingredients need to be on your card..

So again I didn't know how to create a pop up card so I did the usual U-Tube and Jennifer McGuire tutorial came up.. so I wrote it down and saved it and watched it a couple times to figure the inside pop up area. I used an embossing dot folder for the dots and went over the area with a white ink pad to show them better.. I used a My Favorite Things image and colored with copics and used the die to cut him out. He's cute huh? I added some the MFT sentiment and a bow /twine to the front with some gems. Inside the card I added the image on a strip of Washi tape and a piece of scrap using MFT die for the base and added the rest of the sentiment.. I covered all the ingredients.

This is the free image called Deacon cake. I created a mini slimline card.  I colored him with copics. I used the Kat Scrappiness distress die and cut out the image and the check background. I used Washi tape along the folded end and added the Hero art sentiment and distressed the edges with Ranger ink.

So today is time for a new sketch for the

Stella Sunday Sketch #909

This is the sketch to follow

 

So for my card I used the image called MIS Gus birthday old fart.  I colored the image with copics. I dug through my scrap box and added the goldish brown behind Gus and then the blue check.  I added some Washi Tape along the bottom and finished with the Simon Says happy birthday. It's a fast simple sketch. Can't wait to see what you create.

I am using Cupcake Kidz 

For my card I used the image Cupcake Kidz.. My hubby came in the craft room yesterday grabbed a piece of white card stock and he had the mesh from his bag of oranges and held it down to the card stock. Said do you have any spray paint.. So I grabbed my Dylusions spray and gave a couple spritz. He lifted off the orange mesh.. Wala.. we have a cool background. He was proud of it and said he wanted to see a card made using it. So since it was right there on my table I used that for the background. I took washi tape in yellow and layered it about 5 times to stop the transparent look. I colored the image with copics and fussy cut her out.  I stamped and heat embossed the Reverse Confetti and Simon Says sentiments and added to the card. I added some turquoise Nuvo drops. I went over parts of the image with Spectrum Noir sparkle brush.  Hubby loves how it came out.

This is my card. I stamped the My favorite things image and Gerda Steiner cup and painted with Mission gold watercolors. I used Paper Trey ink die and scrap to create the background. I added a little strip of Washi tape. I added the fun image then completed with Tim Holtz snarky sentiment.

It's day 7 of the Coffee Lovers blog hop Spring / Summer..

 I have had so much fun creating cards to enter. It's over tomorrow . 

This is my card. I stamped the Pretty Pink Posh image and Gerda Steiner coffee cup and painted with Mission Gold watercolors.  I had a Quick Quote scrap so added the images to the piece with a strip of Washi tape for grounding. Added the Sugar Pea Designs sentiment with Stampin Up ink. I added the button.

Hello

I am doing 2 cards today for the Coffee Lovers Blog hop Day 6

I am only doing one card at a time.. 

For this card I used a My Favorite Things image that I painted with Mission Gold watercolors.  I also stamped the Gerda Steiner cup and painted with Mission. I used Spellbinder die and cut the embossed designer paper. I added some stenciling with my dry wall mesh and Ranger ink. Then added the die and image on a little piece of Washi tape. I stamped the Gerda Steiner sentiment and My favorite things square die then added to the card.

Half human, half coffee Day 4

Hello.. It's Day 4 over at Coffee Lover's Fall / Winter hop

I used pink card stock and stamped the Close to my heart donut and sprinkles as a top border (which I won this awesome stamp set in Oct. from the facebook coffee lovers hop)  I stamped the Tech. Tues. cup and sentiment. I used copics to color the grounding and the coffee /tea cup. I used Ranger ink to stamp the donut. I used a dark brown cause I am loving me some dark chocolate.. I also loved the way the pink showed through from the card stock. My cyber blog sister gave me this awesome washi tape which I love as it looks like watercoloring strokes. I ran it along the bottom part and trimmed it to fit the card. I added some Spectrum Noir sparkle brush to the coffee and the donut pink swirl.

Hello.. Time for another challenge over at 

Always Fun Challenge #175

Our theme this week is MAKE A TAG

This is my tag.. I started my creating a watercolor background but by time I got done so much was missing. I stamped some background graphics in black and used a stencil and inks.. Then went over it with a light coat of gesso.. well there went all of the things I had done.. So then I took a Simon says stencil and texture paste and did the two butterflies.  Once dry they were too white so I took green and teal Ken Oliver powder colors and tapped on the butterflies and spritzed with water. I let that dry. I then added some washi tape and stamped the SS sentiment (thought good if it was in a journal) and went around the edges with Distress crayon. I still wasn't happy with the background so took Stampin up little dots stamp and embossed with gold. Then the butterflies looked to blan so stamped the smaller dots from SU on them and embossed with white sparkle. I figured I better quit while I was ahead so punched a hole and added the ribbon and twine.  I envy people that can create what I was trying to..

Hello.. It's June and not too much has changed over the months. I am fine staying home and waiting. I know states are gradually opening up here and there.. I am not ready.

Well today we have a new challenge over at

Our theme this week is 

ANYTHING GOES

I am using the image called Let's play music.. I colored her with copics and fussy cut her out. I took a piece of blue card stock and Paper Trey ink music stamp and Versamark and repeated the music notes. I then used Washi tape and made some strips and a place for her to sit. I added her with some foam tape. I added the My favorite things sentiment and Tech. Tues. banner.

Very Thankful

Well I dug out another OLD red rubber block stamp. I stamped it on watercolor paper and using Mission paints colored it in. I used a wood grain embossing folder and then added this painted image to it. I had some Stampin Up washi tape on my desk so added a strip to the top and bottom. I used a Tech. Tues. sentiment and cut the strip into a banner. I added a few Nuvo Drops.  I really like how the washi tape added some interest..
