Last year probably around this time of the year I made a card using a similar design. I loved it so much and when it came time to create a page for our group of girls for 2021 this is what I wanted to create so I can look at it and the quote for the whole month.  For the background I took a large sheet of water color paper (3 of them- I had to make 12 pages for 12 girls) I used Prima water colors and painted the sheets. I added a little Kuretake Gansai gold water colors.  I dried them. As they finished totally drying I used my Paper trey ink background die and cut 12 white pieces. I die cut the navy blue card stock 12 times using another PTI die and stamped the Verse rubber stamp sentiment and heat embossed. I then cut the watercolor paper down to an A2 size and assembled the pages. I distressed the calendar month with some Ranger ink and added it to the page. I finished with some Pretty Pink Posh jewels.. I am excited to know that 12 people will enjoy this fun quote for a whole month.

Today's my birthday.. I know I have a few cards posting today so I am letting everybody know.. lol

I am a baby boomer so you can kinda guess my age.. Let's just say I am ripe..  lol

Today we have a new challenge over at Alphabet Challenge Blog 

and I am the host

so I got the lucky letter  "Q"

So let's see cards with a "QUOTE"  

it can be focal point as I did or with an image just as long as it's a quote.

For my card I used a piece of  Alcohol ink backgrounds I did quite awhile ago.. I did quite a few, so I picked one I really liked.  I then used white card stock and Paper Trey Ink overall die and added this over the background. I found a nice piece of cardstock in the teal color and heat embossed the Verses Rubber stamp. I used PTI die to cut this out. I like that it kinda matched the background die. I added with foam dots. I finished with some Pretty Pink Posh jewels.

Hello and hope you're doing great and having some fun crafting time. Today we are back with another two week challenge at

 Inspiration Destination #151  - our theme is ANYTHING GOES

 

I chose a Hero arts red rubber wood block stamp and stamped on water color paper. I purchased on Amazon a little tin that has 40 little cubes.. I filled them with re-inkers from Ranger and Stampin up. I let it sit out for a few weeks to kinda thicken them up. Well I used them to color this image. I like the look and will use this more and more. I then mounted it on a piece of Stampin up designer paper and using Stazon I stamped the Verses rubber stamp sentiment and used a piece of SU dp to cover the adhesive. I added a few Nuvo drops.

My daughter showed me a tag she liked.  I think she found it on Facebook.. I don't know who created the beautiful tag she showed me.. I wish I did so if it's one of you that frequent my blog.. please let me know..

 I pretty much followed the colors, sentiment, leaves and flowers.. I did use different flowers even though I had the Simon says stamps she used but her tag must of been larger cause it would of been to crowded on this tag. I just happened to have the same sentiment but hers was smaller. I did add Nuvo drops to the card and some dots from SS.. I colored the background with Ranger inks. I colored the flowers with Zig markers. I added ribbon and called it done.

 (I added Ranger micro distress glaze paste over the inked background so it wouldn't show finger prints when touched.. should I add before I stamped the leaves or after???? I added before and was hard to get the leaves darker.)

 

I love this tag and it's off to my daughter Raelene..

Aud Sentiments #155  Our theme is ANYTHING GOES + SENTIMENT

Again we are our own sponsor and so I chose to do another Journal page for my 2016 Journal.

I am using the Eureka stamp .. I have so many Eureka wooden stamps and since I had this fun sentiment from Verse rubber stamps I thought this was perfect and it reminds me of my best friend Karen. She (we love green) so I colored her in the green dress and since we couldn't both be wearing green I chose purple, orange and green for my outfit.. those are some of my other favorite colors..

I layered it on some purple card stock and scrap of green then laminated the whole piece and punched my journal holes.. I hope you find time to play along. You have two weeks and it's anything goes plus a sentiment.
