-review- Dreams of Gods & Monsters by Laini Taylor

Image
- Goodreads - "You are a conniving, deceitful hussy. I stand in awe." "You're sitting." "I sit in awe." Is it weird that I felt like I read the second book all over again while I was reading the first half (or a bit less) of this book? Because it sure felt like that to me and that alone made me go a little crazy and get a bit bored sometimes but worry not... Because author Laini Taylor writes, again, in such a way that even boredom isn't perceived as boring as one might think boredom is Hahahaha. I'm not making any sense but that's because I feel like I just woke up from a dream that I've been dreaming for some days now. Reading the whole trilogy back to back is a blessing and a curse at the same time. Blessing because I can never get enough of the authors style of writing or Akiva and Karou and Mik and Zuze and Ziri and Liraz. A curse because what do you do after this? What could possible come after delving into a...

-review- Days of Blood & Starlight by Laini Taylor

- Goodreads - "A dream dirty and bruised is better than no dream at all." I've read sad books... Believe me, I have. Books so sad they would keep me from reading another book for months, the sadness lingering long after I finished the book. But I've never quite read a book as sad as Days of Blood and Starlight. This book was so sad I wish they would've invented a new word solely to describe this book. Oh, there were amazing things as well but the sad predominated throughout the entirety of it. It was like a living thing that wouldn't go away even now that I've finished it. And surprisingly I'm okay with it, if only for the fact that I've always liked heartbreak in books just to better enjoy and take in the un-heartbreaking, just as the author would put it. I started this book expecting one thing but what I got was another thing completely and it blew my mind. I loved it so so so very much that I suffered even more for it. ...

But before I go I'd just like to share what I'm... Currently Reading One to Hold by Tia Louise (So far, it's so sadly predictable and so insta everything I'm kind of wary but I guess it'll be a light and welcoming read compared to the other book I'm reading as well.) This Is Where It Ends by Marieke Nijkamp (Now this is being a really intense and suspenseful re...

First things first...I'm not even going to try to link to the original post though I have to tell you I stole/stalked/read the idea that, I know wasn't originally from them but still, I found them there and not anywhere else... Lady Reader's Book Stuff  (from wich I'm a new follower) Fiktshun Ramblings  (one you may know is 1/2 of my stalking favorite places) both of them got me hooked and jaw dropping while going through the list of the TOP 100 YA BOOKS and wich of those the'd read... So, I decided...why not...I might even surprise myself...you know, I'm new to reading YA in english since I read mostly in spanish AND not YA. And thanks to Twilight, Hush, Hush, and The Body Finder, wich where the only ones capable enough to get me into reading all over again after 2 years of abscence, I am here now posting this ;) Anyways, here's the list and the ones that I HAVE READ are going to be in GREEN LETTERS . That settled here it goes! And wish me luck ;) ...
