Colin Powell endorsed Barack Obama on Meet the Press this morning.

Obama speeches draw 100,000 in St. Louis, MO, and 75,000 in Kansas City, MO. Wow. Click on both those links for photos.

Obama campaign announces that the campaign raised a stunning $150 million dollars in September, from 632,000 new donors, both record-breaking numbers.

I just watched the morning talk shows and they are all talking about what President Obama will do. Wow.

I'm going to do some phonebanking this afternoon before I head to my friend's house to watch the Red Sox win the ALCS. Go Jon Lester.

Here's a short video of Jill Biden demonstrating how you, too, can affect this election in swing states by phonebanking.

Let's get out the vote and crush the Republican Party on election day.

Last Day of Fundraising Quarter

Today is the last day of the fundraising quarter. Make your favorite Democrats look good by donating. Just reporting a great number of contributors is good. You can give $10 by midnight tonight and give your candidate a little more good press.

I'm giving to Barack Obama and Eric Massa (running to replace the Shotgun Senator, Randy Kuhl, in upstate New York's 29th District).

If you give Obama $30 or more, he'll send you a t-shirt

or this one

Or this organic t-shirt

Or if you contribute $15, you can get on of these three car magnets (guess people don't like bumper stickers any more):

5" logo car magnet

5" blue "Yes We Can" car magnet

9" "Change We Can Believe In" car magnet

This concludes the advertising part of this blog!

BFFs Fundraising In Phoenix

McCain tried to have a secret fundraiser in Phoenix last night, but the media caught him at the airport saying goodbye to his BFF George W. Clusterfuck. First watch Obama hit McCain on his secret fundraiser, and his support of Bush's disastrous policies:

"Today, John McCain is holding a fundraiser with George Bush, behind closed doors, in Arizona."

"No cameras!"

"No reporters!"

"And we all know why!"

"Senator McCain doesn’t want to be seen, hat-in-hand, with the President, whose failed policies he promises to continue for another four years," [at this point, the audience roared with laughter!!].

President Bush is accompanied by Republican presidential candidate, Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., and his wife Cindy, seen reflected on the car, before Bush boards Air Force One at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport, after Bush attended a private campaign fundraising event for McCain in Phoenix, Tuesday, May 27, 2008.

Tell Your Momma Bout Obama

Tell her he raised $25,000,000 in the first quarter of 2007, from more than 100,000 donors.

$25 million is just short of the record $26 million raised by Hillary Clinton from about 50,000 voters.

Obama's 100,000 donors is by far the largest number of donors for any of the presidential candidates, and is considered important because many of those small donors presumably contributed less than the federal limit of $2300. So Obama can go back to them and ask for more. Hillary Clinton has many donors who are 'maxed out', having already given the federal limit.
