Gingersnap Creations GC116 is Primary Colors, which originally this was to be used for "Gal Pals," but changed my mind! Lisa's Bloggers Challenge is looking for "Buttons" and I really thought the button add on worked quite well for an embellishment.
I was so darn excited when my new Artistic Outpost stamps arrived in the mail and finally got to play! Last month I won the August referral program, so I ended up with six incredible sets! The stamps I used are from Typography, Whimsical Melange, Ephemeral Backgrounds and Birds of a Feather. I found that the little girls just fit in this adorable little framed image, which both were stamped with Stazon Timber Brown. I then used markers to color the girls, masked and then added distressed inks. The sentiment and frame are both mounted on dimensionals. The background was colored with Distressed Inks, Glimmer Mist and then stamped.
My sweet blogger friend, Cindy Adkins of Whimsical Musings, sent me this adorable and lovely card! Can you believe she did this just to say hi?? She even added a little "T." By the way, Cindy, has started a new blog Girls' Club for those who love Shabby Chic and a lovely GIVEAWAY at Whimsical Musings. Thank you so much, Cindy for thinking of me and I love this card!
Well I have been busy! We got the rest of our replacement windows installed and love them, but they seem so difficult to keep clean! I don't know if it is the Low E glass or what! Still need to figure out doors! The magnet truck was appreciated and is on a soda machine in "Dent Repair" shop! Hope you all are having a wonderful week! I so appreciate your visits, because I know we all are needing that extra time in a day!
Inks: Stazon Timber Brown, Distress Mustard Seed, Scattered Straw, Tumbled Glass, Chipped Sapphire, Fired Brick, Vintage Photo, Versamark and Clear EP
Stampin Up Markers, Blush Blossom, Creamy Caramel, Barely Banana, Bordering Blue, Real Red

GCSP08, Summer of Color and Pink Saturday!
Gingersnap Creations Blue Moon is to use 3 Words, 3 Papers and 3 Buttons. Kristin's the Summer of Color challenge is to use RED!
I caught myself going for the fourth paper, when I had die cut some lovely corners. I have to say this was really a challenge for me and not sure what I think about it! Tried this canvas with black metal photo corners and lace. Let me know which way looks better?

This is my share for "Pink Saturday." I actually was the lucky winner of this most lovely "Pink Fleur de Lis and Roses" bowl from Cindy Adkins. If you love vintage, shabby chic, French and pretty much anything gorgeous, you owe it yourself to visit Cindy's Whimsical Musings. This lady is as sweet as she is talented. Stop by and you will be so happy you did! Thank you again, Cindy.
This is a busy weekend for me. My sister is driving down from AZ and we are going to a family reunion! Hope you all have a wonderful weekend! Thank you for taking the time to visit me!

I am A Featured Artist, with a Fabby Win, Playing Cards!
It is always such an honor when someone asks you to be a featured artist or guest designer. The sweet and wonderful Cindy featured my first collage piece that I did for the Smitten class in her online weekly magazine, Whimsical Musings Magazine. There are other featured artists with incredible and beautiful creations, so stop by for a visit and say hello to Cindy! This is my featured piece from a prior post and the little school girl is my MaMa!

Speaking of featured artist over at Cindy's magazine, Petra was a featured artist for the "Romance" article. Petra had a special drawing and guess who won that??? Yes, it was I! Remember the piece she created for Gingersnap Creations, "coffee filters." Well it is mine, along with some lovely twine and the sweetest little tag. Love it so much, Petra and a big thank you! If you have not visited Petra, treat yourself to some fabulous talent at her Kunterbunt Cottage.
And what a better way to use the twine, then to be the "Queen" of the last minute club and enter my challenge piece for "Kings and Queens" at Gingersnap Creations!

I used my new, hot off the press, Tim Holtz ATC embossing folders! I did also buy the ATC steel rule die, but am a little disappointed that the finished cut piece is slightly smaller than the EF! No big deal, but I thought for sure they would be a perfect fit. So, I decided to just emboss the actual tag and do the Cuttlebug Highlights technique from the Technique Junkies. I used Distress Inks for the background and have a punch with all the card shapes! I used the colors that would be found on a deck of cards and keep this purposely with little embellishments. It is going to be a bookmark for a card player! I went on a little shopping spree yesterday at Scrapbooking Made Simple. Stacey knows that when anything new comes in concerning "The main man Tim," that I want it. She always holds on to items she knows I will be needing! Thanks to Stacey and the SMS girls!
Thank you for visiting! I truly do love your comments!

Cindy Adkins' Whimsical Musings
Cindy is having a most adorable "TAG" giveaway and I just had to share this with anyone who stops by here for a visit. I am placing this on my sidebar, because someone so lucky is going to win this adorable tag! Told you it is adorable!
A few days ago, I purchased one of Cindy's adorable little journals for my daughter and can't wait to hear what she has to say about her lovely gift. When I saw this at Cindy's Etsy shop, I thought what a wonderful way to let someone know you are thinking about them. Anyway, stop by Cindy's and check out her fabulous little Etsy store. Each month she hosts the "Creative Spirit," which is so much fun to see the talents of various artists and different styles. Oh and there is still time to enter for this month's challenge here.

Cindy Adkins' Creative Spirit November
This is always a fun and interesting challenge and Cindy is just as sweet as can be! I love that you can go and visit the blogs of other talented crafters and see such an incredible forms of art!
For this month, I decided to link something that I have painted in the past. Since we are still looking at Thanksgiving, I believe my cat pumpkin is not out of season. I also has a little Chipmunk candy jar lid to share.

Cindy Adkins' Creative Spirit October
This month I decided to share something I created over 14 years ago with Cindy's Creative Spirit. There was a time when I was an avid sewer/seamstress. These vests are some of the last items that I created. The designs are my own and some of the fabrics have been manipulated to create layers. I suppose you could say altered! I never really wore these, because it is more wearable art and maybe a little too bold! Don't ask why I stopped sewing, because I don't know. Not even sure if I could come close to doing this again! I have made my DH's dress shirts, fashion jeans, evening a gown, a queen size quilt and most of my clothes at one time.
Now the quilt I still have, but it is just a glad rag now. One of my rescued Dalmatians decided one time when I left her home, to use it as a chew toy. Upon opening the door and seeing cotton batting covering my floor like snow, I kind of figured out what happened. Do you wonder if I beat her or gave her back, absolutely not. Dogs that you rescue have been for the most part abused, neglected or totally misunderstood and need extra positive attention. It is not their fault that someone did not speak dog!! To this day, I will always rescue a dog and take my chances on what little surprises they may have in store for me. There is nothing as awesome as bringing home a rescued baby and watching it grow to be a happy camper! I could go on about things my dogs have done, but that is not why you are here. However I think it takes a pretty creative spirit to figure out ways to dog proof your house and belongings! I am just thankful that bad behavior was not potty accidents, but I would have figured out a course of action for that one!!
I hope you are all having a wonderful weekend and doing something with the people and or animals that are a big part of your life. Cindy was so wonderful to have me as a featured artist on her blog, "I Owe It ALL To Him" and there is some really great inspiration there, so take a look around! I also have a post about being a new Design Team member at Scrolls Work Stamps and a blog candy offer if you would like to enter. Just leave a comment on the October 1st post. Thank you for taking the time to visit and comment.

My Creative Spirit!!
Cindy Adkins is having a creative challenge! Now it can be anything your little heart desires! Creativity comes in many forms and what I like so much about this challenge, is that we will be able to see some of the other elements we put our heart and souls into. I love to cook and have been told by many that I am really good at it! Now I don't cook nearly as big or fancy as I did years ago, but still have to do something just a little extra fancier!
This was done for an appetizer lunch before the Christmas big dinner! I think I spent as much time on the snacks as the dinner! I am hoping so much to get to the point to remodel my kitchen. The tile is over 30 years old!
The little snacks were Spinach and Artichoke dip, Humus, Shrimp Cocktail, Stuffed Mushrooms, Chicken Sausage Skewers, Olives and assorted crackers and veggies. Thanks for visiting the other creative side of me and Bon Appetite!
