Let Things Go!

Aren't those words so true, but not always easy to do! In our lives we all have things that are just to heavy to hang on to and in order to go forward, we have to "Let Go." When this plate from Artistic Outpost came out, "Chalkboard Wisdom." this of all sentiments hit me hard and hit home!  Anyway, this is one of those sentiments that is truly worth putting up all over the place!! Will be linking this up to Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog "Say It With Stamps."
I inked manila card stock with Squeezed Lemonade and Wild Honey and then embossed it with a Cuttlebug folder and a Diffuser, for an inset. I could have just stamped in the oval un-embossed center, but I decided I wanted a little more dimension, so cut an oval from manila and inked and stamped using Black Archival.
Using two of the Spellbinders oval frames, I cut a black panel. The butterflies were cut using dies from Cheery Lynn. This was an easy card to make as I wanted the focus to be on the sentiment.

This is the start of a brand new month and that means the new "October Referral Program" at Artistic Outpost, so I hope you will ink up some of those AO stamps and join in the "anything goes."  Thank you for stopping by today and have a great finish to the week!

Happy Easter!

I was kind of chatting around on FB, when I remember I wanted to enter Lisa's Bloggers Challenge, "Easter."  Sometimes I forget about Stampin Up's lovely Chocolate Bunny, who sadly sits in hiding, so today he has come out to play!  Still looking for a little "P.O.P" at Inspiration Journal, so we are a hopping over there as well!
The bunny was stamped and embossed and was mounted on several chipboard layers of Tim's little bunny!  It is an actual pretty nice fit!  The little tickets are from Tim's Seasonal papers and I rounded them - duh, certainly not egged shaped!
However, the background is egg shaped!  Using one of Tim's embossing folders and the diffuser, I first inked in Green and Pinks Distress (of course), embossed and then highlighted in Salty Ocean!  Then I added clear EP all over the background!  Nice little egg color!  Pretty quick, but sometimes you need something fast!  I am thinking now the rabbit needs a bow around his neck!!!  Always something more to remember!

Tomorrow I will have a really cool project, really I love this one, so I hope you will stop by then!  Thank you for visiting me today and I hope whatever your plans are for the weekend you have a wonderful one!  Happy Easter to all of you who celebrate!

Diffusers and Blog Candy!

First off I would like to welcome my new followers!  How exciting to reach that 400 mark and normally I do a blogaversary candy, but thought it would be nice to offer up a little "Celebration Candy" to one of my followers who have made this journey such a great ride!  All you have to do is to leave a comment and let me know you would like to be included in the candy!  I will draw two names and each will receive a $25 gift certificate to The Funkie Junkie Boutique.    Today also happens to be my Dad's birthday and although he is no longer with us, it gives me pleasure to celebrate.  I will announce the winners on September 13th, to allow you time to take advantage of this week's Friday Focus products, which are "Diffusers."  Linda is also going to add all Texture Fades embossing folders she carries at an additional 15% off, so that is a really good deal!
For all the details on these products and use of the Diffusers, please click this LINK, which will take you to the Frilly and Funkie Friday Focus!    No real reason for me to repeat myself!!

Thank you for visiting today and I hope you have a wonderful weekend!  I have tons of blogs to visit and catch up on!
