CC#3 - Faux Tea Roses!

So Linda and the Curiosity Crew have gone from glitter to "Faux Tea Roses" on page 65 of Tim's, Compendium of Curiosities III! For this challenge the wonderful "Inspiration Emporium" is the generous sponsor of a $50 prize and there is a prize also to be given from Tim and Mario, so that is quite a sweet deal!

Before I even knew where this tag was going, I started with the flowers, using the Tattered Pinecone die and following Tim's instructions. After my flowers were done, I did give them a spray of a Perfect Pearls mix that I have on hand.

Now that my flowers were done, I began cutting some greenery and again using the Tattered Pinecone and my new Garden Greens die.

I did crease fold and sand the larger leaves and then shaded to give a more realistic appearance. I also cut a doily for another layer. Once I liked the layout, I glued down everything and got to work on the background.

The text was stamped using Black Archival on Vellum and then torn and shaded with Vintage Photo.

The girl's face was stamped and masked off before I added a little heart stenciling using Spiced Marigold. I do believe this qualifies for Simon Says Stamp Monday's challenge "The Artsy Stamp."
