Christmastime 2016 AO New Release!

Well it really is getting to look a lot like Christmas with Artistic Outpost's New December Release of Christmas Time and Gloria. Be sure to visit and comment on the rest of the design team for a change to win a gift with all the details below!
My first card using Christmas time was created by inking the stamp with colored markers and then huffing and puffing to reactivate the ink. This was a technique from Tim Holtz and I love the water color effect. This stamp us great for easy mailing and yet still so beautiful!
My next project is using Gloria and I decided a vintage Christmas tag was in order. I used the border stamp around the edge and embossed. The collaged background was created and I stamped and fussy cut the Angel from the same stamp and the sweet little angels as well. The tag was colored and distressed using Distress Antique Linen and Vintage Photo.
Thank you for visiting and joining in on Artistic Outpost December New Release Blog Hop. Below you will find all the details.

Obey All The Rules!

It has been awhile, but it is a fabulous Artistic Outpost Blog Hop and the theme is designers choice, so be sure to visit all of the AODT for some gorgeous inspiration! Before I list all the talent, Artistic Outpost has a lovely SALE OF THE WEEK at 20% off in the "Flowers and Garden" section as does Our Daily Bread Designs, for "Flowers and Garden" stamps and dies and North Coast Creations.

For my card I decided to use the lovely working girls from the Paperboy collection and teaming them up with stamps from the Secretary Pool and Quote and Quotables. The card size is a standard A2 and all the panels were stamped using Black Archival, heat set and then inked with Distress Inks, Walnut Stain, Antique Linen, Frayed Burlap, Rusty Hinge. Again I get so carried away that I forgot to take pictures of the background panels before assembly, but you all get the idea. I also spritzed and flicked water on all panels and then gave a little flick of Rusty Hinge stain using a toothbrush.

The girls image was lightly inked with Tattered Rose and Spun Sugar and I added some corners. Don't they look like after working that 9 to 5 job that they are ready to break a few rules? Well I believe so! I worked as a secretary/office manage for many years and I know what TGIF means!

Well I do thank you for stopping by today on this wonderful blog hop with Artistic Outpost! Have a fabulous day!

Exciting News!!

I was so thrilled to receive an invite to join Artistic Outpost as a DT member and of course I said, "Yes."  What a way to start of 2013 with such an amazing stamp company and an incredible design team!  It makes me just a little nervous, but I will give it my all!  Please stop by Artistic Outpost's blog and check out the rest of the newest DT members, say hello and join in January's Referral Program!  This is an anything goes challenge as long as you use Artistic Outpost stamps.

As soon as I received the invite, I knew I would have to make an announcement and of course wanted to create a little something!  So here is what I came up with!  I inked up my tag background with Distress Inks and then did some random stamping using the ledger background stamp from the Ephemera Backgrounds collection using Archival Coffee.  After I was satisfied, I added a little Stampendous Aged Aqua.  Love that bit of gold!  Next I stamped the Prescription, using the Apothecary collection and the sentiment from the Typography was stamped and then cut out and arranged on pop dots to fit my prescription for happiness!

Thank you so much for stopping by today and your support on this new adventure.  I can't wait to see you play along with the challenges at Artistic Outpost.  Have a wonderful week!

Happy Saint Patrick's Day!

Wishing you all the luck of the Irish!  May you find your pot of gold at the end of the rainbow!  Today I decided to create a St. Paddy's Day magnet.  I even cut the magnet material out of a heart!  I cut four heart from my Sizzix dies of two different sizes and in two colors of green.  I did a cuttlebug highlight technique from the Technique Junkies, using of course a Tim Holtz texture fade.  Love his stuff!  The lovely Irish sentiment if from Scrolls Work Stamps and I thought it was most perfect for today and everyday! If you have not been visiting Scrolls Work Stamps, they now have full plates of lovely stamps.

Thank you for stopping by and I hope you will have a wonderful day!
