All you got to do is come and line up early at any MBO Cinemas and they will be giving away the ticket sharp at 7.00PM** (on 31st Oct). Movie will start at 8.00PM.

Tickets are on a first come, first serve! Each person is entitled to one (1) ticket and must be physically present to redeem.

MBO ALLSTAR card

The MBO ALLSTAR card from MBO it is free, however there's no discount using this card at all. You can use the card for collect points then in future use the points to redeem for movie ticket or popcorn or drink or their ALLSTAR combo.

Is this card any good? Well basically it is use for collecting point if you purchase tickets or their food and beverage.


I find it troublesome having an extra card, I seldom go to MBO Cinema. You need to go their website to validate the card. To do that, you will need to access computer to go their website.


I saw a foreigner with her friend, he's complaining about MBO ALLSTAR card. He's doesn't have an email or computer, there's no way he can validate the card. He bought the movie passes but he's not able to get any points with the new card.

Anyway the movie my son and I about to watch didn't get start on time. It supposed be 4.20pm but movie dragged up to 4.30pm. The movie we are watching Grown Up 2. The foreigner and her friend also watching the same movie.

Ah Boys to Men 2 *comedy PG13

Have you watched the movie Ah Boys to Men 1? If yes you will know what the movie is about. Last night I redeemed the movie passes to watch the movie Ah Boys to Men 2 with my son and dear. We have not seen the Ah Boys to Men 1.

It is Basic Military Training (BMT) where parents are concern about their children. In this movie we found out that the trainee didn't wash their uniform for a week, they let their mom's do the cleaning for them. Imagine how sticky you are if you are wearing the same uniform for a week.

Ip Man's girlfriend broke up with him and found another boyfriend. Ip Man is madly in love with his girlfriend, he wants to know who is the guy she is with. With help of his friend they made a fake video and upload to youtube. It is funny, you will laugh when you know how they made the video. They have got an Ipad to use but it ended up in the toilet! :(

Ip Man wants to revenge on his girlfriend's new boyfriend, they gathered shits and added on chili and wasabi inside! Yeah you will not like it but the scene of the couple in the car park inside their car, they get thrown with load of shits.

I find this movie funny where the Sargeant goes to each camp at night trying to steal the men's guns. One of the Sargeants got kicked out of the camp! Other than that, you will find it funny when the trainee pulled the grenade but he throwing out the pin instead of grenade!

This is an action plus comedy movie, language spoken in Mandarin with mix of Malay and English. I saw grandparents bring their grandchildren about age 4 year old for the movie.

Jack the Giant Slayer *almost full house

On Saturday night we go for a movie at night, the movie is entertaining from start to the end. Jack is from a poor family and one day he is on the adventure to save the princess. His uncle didn't like Jack as he didn't manage to do things he asked him to do, he supposed to sell the horse and cart but his cart got stollen and he trade the horse for the beans. It is not just any beans it is beans that can grow up to the sky! One of the beans fall under the house and touches water during the heavy rain, same night where princess was in the house.

Giants are huge, the giants are dirty, one of the giants have two heads. The giants like to eat people, you get to see them eat in this movie! One giant digs his nose after that put his finger in his mouth, everyone in the cinema goes eww.... .

I am sure you like to know how Jack able to marry the princess. The princess likes adventure, Jack fear of height and falling.

How Jack uses the one last bean to save the princess and the kingdom? Watch it at cinema to find out!

It is a nice movie indeed, no wonderful it is almost full house in the cinema. We seated almost so near to the big screen. But for movie The Call, yes we did we are seating on first roll facing the big screen, so closed up!

Movie review: The Hobbit: An unexpected journey

Last night we head to MBO, Subang Parade to watch 2D The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey. I am happy to use the movie tickets that I won to watch it. The staff is very friendly and help me through finding the suitable seats for three of us. He told me Hall 7 still have seats and I can use the movie tickets to watch it in 2D. The movie starts in minutes after I purchased a ticket for my son.

Hall 7 in MBO Subang Parade, the seating in middle so there is not side seats on the left and the right. I chosen the middle seats and good choice I must say we enjoy the movie. There are animals like wolves, rabbits, rats, birds, eagles, and a dragon.

I will share with you the part where my son used his both hands to cover his hands. It would the part where the Hobbit trapped down below the cave, there is one creature that keeps saying precious! You never forget the face of the creature it is just like in LOTR! The creature loves the ring very much, he loses the ring. The Hobbit grabs the ring that the creatures loses while dragging the Goblin. Now I remembered the name of the creature it is called Gollum!

It is an adventure journey for the Hobbit in this movie and everyone known the dragon still a life in the end of movie. Bear in mind that this movie is 169 minutes, so you know it is more than 2 hours movie. We know there is part two of the Hobbit because the staff opened the exit door!
