Lessons Learned in Play

Allowing little ones to have fun is so important to their educational development. It not only enhances their own skills, but it can also foster a love for learning; thus, during the younger years, it's important to not only spend time working on understanding the alphabet and numerals, but also some of the classic childhood activities. Doing both can benefit your child's vpk tampa experience. Here are three activities that can boost your mental growth.

Puzzles

There are many benefits in putting together a puzzle, especially for kids. Their eyes are still developing, learning to recognize shapes and forms. These fun boxes of pieces encourage them to pay attention to details, learning the differences and nuances of images. That's useful in reading and math as kids must start to recognize the structure of letters and numbers. In addition, activities such as these demand patience and critical thinking.

Coloring and Cutting

It's okay to explore a huge box of crafts. The imagination goes wild, and kids begin to explore their own minds. In addition, having to handle the small pieces allows them to work on their fine motor skills. Holding a crayon and drawing fun characters is simply an extension of an early writing lesson. Holding a pencil really is an important skill. Those that learn the wrong way may place too much pressure, building frustration with writing assignments down the road.

Music

The auditory system continues to grow even during these years. It's adapting to hearing small differences. In fact, even some letters are hard to hear until someone is older. Songs, though, work with introducing higher-level skills, making it simpler to remember and comprehend. The kiddos become more familiar with rhyme, increase vocabulary and become familiar with a study technique. They may not realize it, but by you playing ABC songs in the car, you're actually increasing their focus on knowledge and making it seem interesting.
If you need a few things to do at home, don't think flashcards are the only option. While useful, some of those entertaining tasks are just as useful.

My sweet memory on Robin Williams

This morning I read about actor Robin Williams passed away, it's heart breaking read about the news. Robin Williams dies at aged of 63. I watched his movie since I was young, then my children turn to watch his movie. We can never forget his laughter and joy that he brought to us.

Many movies I like about Robin Williams namely Mrs Doubtfire 1 and 2, Jumanji, Night at The Museum 1 and 2, Popeye, Flubber, Robots.

The hilarious movie that I never forget is the Jumanji, and Mrs Doubtfire.

My kids just started watching the movie Robots, Robin Williams voice as Fender.

Are you fan of Robin Williams? What movies do you like?

Life is short, cherish loved one and never take things for granted. Don't wait til the last moment, we can always give our loved one a call, there is no need to wait for the special moment or occasions.

Cute yellow baby ducks

I haven't seen yellow ducks for a long time, I spotted these cute yellow baby ducks when I picked up my son. It's great teachers are giving children to see them, I was told that they also have rabbit.

During your childhood, what pet do you have? I have cats and dogs.

Do you have pet at home? If yes what type of animal? I used to like to have an iguana as pet but my dear says NO. I think he's afraid of iguana. So instead of life iguana, he gets me a t-shirt with iguana picture on it.

My dad has two dogs at home.

I have hamsters pet before from two hamsters, they breed over 60 hamsters. Yeah a big family and lots of cage for them, need to separate the male and female hamster to prevent them from mating.

Oculus horror movie

Whose home does not have a mirror? I believe every home with at least one mirror in room. Oculus is a horror movie, it has antic mirror that can haunt you.

I have mirror in my room, but it's cover with sheet or blanket during the night. How scary it is to see your reflection in the dark/night?

I haven't watch this movie, hoping to watch it soon.

Left knee injury

Not long ago, I wrote about my childhood scar about my knee. This morning my son fell down as he was running. It hurt so much that he couldn't bear the pain, both knee with cuts and bloody. Dear said bring him over to clinic nearby to let doctor treat him.
Hope he remembers that don't run, no matter the distance is short or long.

Look at his scar reminds me of my scar, same left leg but different incidents. Mine was fall down while running down the hill to chase the school bus.

He's lucky he gets to see doctor, during my childhood I forgotten if I saw doctor. But I remembered having my left knee injury over and over again same spot when it's almost recovered. I can even touch my own flesh, it was skin deep injury.

Fun with play dough

My boys love playing dough, the other day my toddler asking for dough to play. He likes playing it, he tried to roll it and smashed it. I let him play just one colour of dough, if not he will mix the colour of dough which I can't separate the colour anymore.

I took a small marble and roll it together with dough. He doesn't know it until he open the dough bit by bit. He none stop laughing when he saw there's marble in the dough. After remove the marble, he try putting back together with dough.

It's fun playing dough you can make many shapes with it. I made dice, car, snake, ball, and so on.

I remembered playing dough when I was a child, but the dough was sticky and smelly too!

What's your childhood game?

My childhood scar

Above my childhood scar, the white patch skin you looking at is the scar!

I believe scars, we all have it. But some scars, deeper than others.

Above is my childhood car, my left knee injury during childhood. I can never forget because I fell down several times from the hill while chasing the school bus. Same injury over and over again, I can even remembered the pain and feel the flesh of knee's injury. I can remember washing the wound is painful, the cotton would be sticking on the wound. It took so long for my wound to heal, almost healing then I fell down again.

It is skin deep because I can touch the flesh of my knee, my mom was complaining why I am so clumsy. The school bus came early morning and I was late, I running down the hill slope and fall down badly. I was bleeding while board the school bus.

The injury to my knee happened over and over again for few times. How can forget such incidents?

I have shared also my pregnancy scars.

Do you have scars that you rather forget or still in your memory?
