Happy Colors

Hello, Diane with you today with what I am calling a happy card!  I think the colors are so bright and cheerful, it just has to make you happy!

I started my card with a stamped background using Distress Old Paper ink on an Impression Obsession background stamp called Sunburst.  I wanted a somewhat muted background, so I inked it lightly.  These are nice, rather large background stamps, approximately 6" x 6", so I used the Mega Mount curved acrylic block for the stamp.

I die cut the gorgeous Anna Griffin Flourish Medallion
from Madarin Curious Metallic #111 card stock.

I stamped Sweet 'n Sassy Flowers in Bloom onto Cryogen White Curious Metallic card stock, an 89# card stock perfect for using your alcohol markers on.

I popped up the image using Joy! Foam Pads Large.  I wanted a bit of bling, so I die cut my sequins using My Favorite Things Sequins die from Orange Iris Shimmer Sheetz.  I just love this die!!  It is a wonderful investment along with the Shimmer Sheetz, allowing you many, many color options using the Iris Sampler Pack Shimmer Sheetz or
the Gemstone Sampler Pack Shimmer Sheetz for your sequins.

Thank you for visiting with me today, and I hope you are inspired to make a bright and happy card of your own.

Full of Blessings

Praying your day is full of blessings and love.  Mindy with you today sharing a card made with the many elements of the Blueprints 13 Die-namics die from My Favorite Things, sold in the Classy Cards n' Such Online Store.

This die set contains 13 dies that go well together.  The background die cuts a rectangle with a stitched edge border. Then there is a fishtail banner, a rounded top tag, along with a circle and rosette that fit together perfectly for a stamped verse. There are also two sizes of arrows, stars, and three banners suitable for sayings.

For my card I cut the background rectangle from a songbook page, then the fishtail banner, then the tag.  On the tag, I stamped the Cascading Ferns Background from JustRite and added the rosette with a sentiment from the Birds and Roses Set from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps.  The torn-edged banner was decorated with the large stars and stamped with love. The banner, along with the large arrow was then raised above the base card with Foam Pads- Large by Joy! for added texture and dimension.

This card could be used for birthdays, anniversaries, or just thinking of you. A good all-around card suitable for many occasions.

Thanks for stopping by!!!   Until next time...

Merry Christmas

Hi, it's Joy today, posting a colorful Christmas Card for Classy Cards 'n Such!  My goal this year is to get all my Christmas cards mailed by the first week in December - so I've got to get going!

This uses my favorite of all time background stamp called Vines - Cover A Card using a Mega Mount Block.  It was stamped in a light green. I turned the cardstock, inked up the block again in a lighter green and stamped over the first stamping.

I used a Viva Decor Pearl Pen in red to make some holly berries.  I then stamped one of the ornaments and a sentiment from JustRite's Noel Christmas Ornaments.

Using a background stamp in different directions and colors is a great way to make background papers for your cards and other crafting ideas.

I hope I inspired you to try your hand at making something new and colorful!

Great card for the holidays! Thanks Joy!!

Prayers - A Sympathy Card

I am so thrilled that Joy Hadden agreed to join the Classy Cards Design Team as a Guest Designer!   She will be sharing her lovely creations with us over the next few weeks.   You can see more of her beautiful work here.

Hi – Joy here today.  I was so honored when Beverly, owner of Classy Cards 'n Such asked me to be a guest designer.  What a special privilege this is - I am excited about this opportunity!

I needed to make a sympathy card -- so here we go --

1. Sponge a piece of cardstock with Tim Holtz Weathered Wood Distress Ink. Then mist a background stamp from Impression Obsessions called Vine with water from a Spritzer Bottle. Stamp on the inked cardstock – then add a few inked spots with an Ice White Viva Décor Pearl Pen.

2. Die cut some flowers from the Cheery Lynn Build a Flower #1 and #2.

3. Heat emboss prayers sentiment from JustRiteStampers called Botanical Medallions and Banners with Detail White Embossing Powder on a piece of vellum.

3.  Punch a little border from pink & white paper then assemble flowers on vellum and assemble on card.

I’ll add an encouraging sentiment on the inside and mail to a family friend.  Thanks for looking at my card.  Here is a list of the supplies I used:

Have a HAPPY stamping day!
Such a pretty card, Joy!
