Hello friends, Mindy with you, sharing a friendship card using pieces of watercolor paper decorated with Ken Oliver Crafts Color Bursts as
my main focal image.
I love playing with the Color Bursts, and the next set of Color Bursts - Earth Tones Assortment are now in at Classy Cards 'n Such online store. They are available as singles or as a 6 pack of the colors.
I
trimmed down a piece of my watercolor art to fit my card front, matted
with white, on top of a red card stock base. From there, I added a scrap of
gold embossed Kraft stock, and added a bit of Ivory cotton teardrop trim around the Kraft stock.
To complete my card, I added a butterfly stamped from the Sunflower Stem PreCut Set from Heartfelt Creations, decorated with tiny Baby Pearls- White.
My sentiment is from Hope and Love Vintage Label set from JustRite Stamps, and is trimmed and attached with Joy! Large Foam Pads to give dimension.
Thank you for joining me today!

Your Special Day
Celebrate,
friends! Summer is in full swing!!
Mindy with you this
morning, sharing a fun technique to use as a background on a card this
summer. Our challenge this week is called "Splatter" and that is
exactly what I did for this background.
To start, I cut a rectangle of watercolor paper just a bit bigger than my A2 size card base. I then took an empty Spritzer Bottle from Tsukeniko, a small amount of water, and the Ultramarine Blue Color Bursts by
Ken Oliver Crafts.
You can mix as little, or as much of the liquid as you wish in the spritzer, then replace the cap and shake well to mix. When the color is as dark as you want, unscrew the spritzer and tap the stem on your paintbrush handle to form splatters on your watercolor paper.
I also used the Alizarin Crimson and Violet Color Bursts, to splatter in three colors. After air drying, the watercolor paper was trimmed to fit my card base.

I cut the Decorative Labels Twenty Seven die by Spellbinders, and attached a stamping of the daisy cluster from the Peacock Swirls stamp set by
Heartfelt Creations. I added a second shaped daisy on top of the
stamping, and added copper colored micro-beads for the center
embellishment.
I adhered the entire unit to the card front with Joy! Large Foam Pads, and added a piece of Ivory cotton teardrop trim colored with the Crimson Color Burst.
The sentiment used was from the Mums stamp set by JustRite Stamps.
I
hope this card has inspired you to get out your ink, some paint, or
Color Bursts if you have them, and splatter up a storm! We would love to
see your creations for this week's card challenge!!

Lace in the Window
Hi, it's Holly posting today!
I love making cards with my dies from Classy Cards 'n Such, and I was
inspired to play with the window die this time after I bought some of
the gorgeous Iridescent White Flowers Lace. I knew I wanted this lace to act as a "curtain" inside the window, so I had to see how that would look.
I started by cutting out some Kraft cardstock with the Small Madison Window die. I also cut out the Small Madison Flower Box from Kraft cardstock. I stamped both pieces with the Wood Texture stamp from Impression Obsession and then sponged a little extra brown ink around the edges. I then cut a small piece of the Iridescent White Flowers Lace and taped it to the inside of the stamped window die cut. Isn't that lace gorgeous?

I glued down the window to a white card base and then I cut out some Leaf Clusters and flowers from the Flower Mound die. I arranged some of the leaves and flowers near the bottom of the window and then I affixed the Small Madison Flower Box die cut with some Joy Foam Pads over the bottom of the window. I tucked in a few extra leaves and flowers here and there to fill in the flower box. The last thing I did was stamp the sentiment from the Hello Daisy stamp set (JustRite) below the window.
I love that Iridescent White Flowers Lace
and I think it would look gorgeous with any kind of window card. Can't
you just see this with a fall foliage window or a Christmas window?
Ohhhhhh the possibilities!
