Wedding Wishes

Hi, it's Misti sharing a card for the Classy Cards 'n Such Wedding challenge.  Wedding season is in full force, I hope you'll join us this week.

I chose Wedding Squirrels by Stampavie as my image.  I think it's a super cute image!  I colored it in with these Tim Holtz Distress Markers:  Peeled Paint, Vintage Photo, Black Soot, Spun Sugar and the Detail Water Brush. I added Wink of Stella glitter pen to the bride's veil and dress.

I used the Dots embossing folder with white cardstock.  I used  a piece of the Key to My Heart paper back for the bottom part of that layer.  I'm amazed at how far this pack has gone! I used the black cardstock from the Layering Swatches to back my image.

I added some Black/White polka dot sheer ribbon, then put some Small Joy Foam Pads on the back of my image panel and layered it on top of the background layers. For a bit of bling, added some Black Pearls in the corners to finish it off.

What a cute card for a happy couple! Thanks Misti!

Birthday Blooms

Hi, it's Misti sharing the card I made for this week's Happy Birthday challenge!

I don't know about you, but it seems like I go through more birthday cards than anything else especially this time of the year.  I made this card to send to my hubby's step mom.

I stamped the largest flower from Dahlia by Sparkle N Sprinkle onto my white panel. I stamped it again on another piece of white cardstock and cut it out.  I colored in both blooms with a red marker.  Then using some pieces of small Joy Foam Pads, I layered the image I cut out on top of the one stamped on the white panel. I didn't put it directly on top, but made it go in between the petals.  It looks a little fuller that way.

I layered that panel onto a piece of black cardstock from the Layering Swatches #2.

I took a piece of background paper from the Key to My Heart 12 x 12 paper pack and layered it onto a piece of Kraft cardstock. I taped my flower panel down and added a piece of Black/White polka dot ribbon. I made my cheater bow with a smaller piece of ribbon. I layered that onto a piece of black cardstock then onto my white base.

Last, I added some Wink of Stella to the top bloom to add a little sparkle. I hope you'll join us this week with a birthday creation.

What a lovely birthday card! Thanks Misti!

Garden Coneflowers

Hi, it's Misti here, with my card for the Garden Party - #30 challenge.

I can just imagine having a chair on the patio, a cold drink, the wind blowing through my hair and looking out into a beautiful, peaceful backyard full of flowers.

I have tried and tried to grow white gerber daisies and all I can get to grow are the pink ones, so my dream scene would have lots of white daisies!

I used Impression Obsessions Coneflowers and colored them to look like daisies. I used Peeled Paint Distress Marker and the Detail Water Brush. I found a marker that would match the cardstock I wanted to use.

I backed the image panel with a piece of black cardstock and then Banana Split cardstock.

Then I inked up the Impression Obsession Gingham Cover-A- Card with my favorite black ink.  I cut it into strips and backed it with black cardstock from the Layering Swatches #2 pack. I took my white base and added a layer of the Banana Split cardstock, then white.  I taped down the gingham pieces with a little space in between the two of them.

Then to my image panel, I put Joy Foam Pads pieces on each corner and popped it up. To the yellow centers, I added some Wink of Stella glitter pen and Black Pearls in each corner to finish it off.

Hope you get your white daisies! Thanks Misti!

A Daisy Today

Hi, it's Misti today!

My card today is made with my cousin in mind. She isn't a whole lot older than I am and is having some major health issues. So this will be sent her direction.

I used the sentiment from the Daisy Today stamp set by Impression Obsession, and stamped it on to a piece of white cardstock.

I stamped the single daisy bloom and cut it out. All it took was a little bit of color in the center. I added some Wink of Stella clear glitter pen to the center to add a little pop!

I cut out the sentiment using the Spellbinders Labels Eighteen. Using a piece of a black piece of cardstock from the Layering Swatches and cut it out with Spellbinders Labels Twenty Nine.

Now, we are ready to put it together. Use a piece of white cardstock for your base, layer it with a piece of black cardstock. I took a small scrap of white and used the Scor Buddy Mini Scoring Tablet to add some lines to it.

Now we need some color. I took the lightest yellow piece of designer paper from the Bo Bunny Double Dot Designs paper pad, and cut off enough to leave my white piece showing. I added a ribbon, before I taped everything down. I used some Joy Foam Pads on the back of the black labels piece and the daisy to give them a little dimension.

The Black Baby Rhinestones are small enough to be added to the corners of the white label without it being too bulky.

Hopefully my card will give my cousin a smile for the day!

Your card is so full of cheer! Thanks Misti!
