Beverly's Pennant Card with Gorgeous Cluny Lace!!!

Good morning!!  Here's the card I created for our lace challenge.   I started with a plain vanilla card base.  The top mat is cut from this gorgeous red paper from the Happy Travels pad and layered atop another, slightly larger mat from Esse Smooth Pearlized Cocoa.   I love the pearlized paper!   Such a subtle sheen and so elegant!!

I cut a triangle from the cocoa paper and added the birthday sentiment from the Birthday Rubz.  It is sooo easy to apply the Rubz...especially since I used a stylus from the McGill Paper Blossoms Tool Kit.  If you would like to see more detailed instructions on applying the Rubz, click here.  These are great sentiments and it's VERY hard to see that it's not a stamp!  Very high quality!!

Before adhering the birthday pennant, I adhered the border of Ivory Cluny Lace.  I'm like Holly...this lace is just jaw-dropping!

The corners are cut from the cocoa cardstock using one of the corners from the Lace Corner Deco A set.  I adhered it using a Quickie Glue Pen.   Just put the glue in several spots on the back and hold with your finger for a few seconds to adhere.   No muss, no fuss!

I added LeCreme Pearls to the Lace Deco corners, opposite corners and the pennant.  The card front is framed with gold lines from the Gold Lines outline stickers.

Join us in our latest challenge - LACE!!!  It's a fun and easy one to do!!  All of the details are here.

Love Deepens

Hello... It's Jennipher with another card for Classy Cards 'n Such. There is nothing that gives me more pleasure than creating a card to tell someone just how much they mean to me. This card clearly does that and it was tons of fun to make!

I started my card with a base of Esse Smooth Pearlized Cocoa cardstock. I distressed the edges of the red polka dot patterned paper from Glitz Designs Happy Travels paper pad. Once the edges were distressed to my satisfaction, I inked them with Pumice Stone Distress Ink. I used the same technique on the red floral patterned paper also from the Happy Travels paper pad and adhered it to a square of red cardstock.

Next, using my Spellbinders Lacey Ovals Die, I cut out a Champagne Reich Shine oval. To this oval, I added the Lacey Ovals Nestabling in Moss Pearl. I have to stop here and tell you a little secret... I've had that Nestabling for awhile but was terrified of using it! I just knew that it would end up being one big sticky mess. Well, I must tell you how wrong I was! It went on like a dream, shaky hands and all. It never lost it's shape or get stuck together like bling I've worked with in the past. If you have not tried Nestabling, you must!

Once I had the Nestabling positioned like I wanted it, I cut out another Lacey Oval and stamped my sentiment on it. Using a sponge tool, I lightly sponged Pumice Stone Distress Ink to the edges of the oval.

For a finishing touch, I added a Prima Calcutta Mini in Seashell. These fabric flowers are such a delight and a new favorite of mine.

Everything on my card (with the exception of the red cardstock and sentiment) can be found in the Classy Cards 'n Such online store. You simply must give some of them a try. What am I saying? You have to try them all!

God is My Hero

Hello everyone! It's Jennipher and I'm finally back with a card for Classy Cards 'n Such. It's been quite awhile!

Today's card was inspired by a challenge to make a card for your hero. Well, I don't know about you but, I'm constantly calling on God to get me out of a jam or to help me deal with the latest test in my life.

So, it only seemed fitting to use the "Footprints in the Sand" poem on my card.  I started with a base of Cocoa cardstock. I added a distressed layer of French Kiss patterned paper by Glitz Designs. To the distressed edges I added Pumice Stone distress ink. On top of the patterned paper is a strip of Parrot Green/Yellow ribbon. For a finishing touch I added a Ceylon Attic flower by Prima (still available in Garden & White Wedding).

Supplies:
Cocoa Cardstock
French Kiss Glitz Designs Patterned Paper
Pumice Stone Distress Ink
May Arts Parrot Green/Yellow Ribbon
Prima Ceylon Attic Flower

Thanks, Jennipher, for a beautiful card using one of my favorite poems, too!!  I'm glad you are back!!

Beverly's Sketch Challenge #3

I'm excited to share with you the card I made for our new sketch challenge!!  It was an easy and fun card to create following Jenn's sketch.  Thanks again, Jenn!!

1.   I chose Esse Smooth Pearlized Cocoa for the base of the card.   This cardstock has a wonderful sheen and is a great weight for the card base!
2.   I cut the 8 1/2" x 11" cardstock to 5 1/2" x 11" and scored at 5 1/2".
3.   Both patterned papers are in the Romantique paper pad.  Romantique is full of vintage 6" x 6" papers!
4.   I used a Martha Stewart corner punch for the corners on the dotted paper and a thumb punch to cut the inverted corners on the floral mat.
5.  The top layer was cut and embossed with Spellbinders Large Deckled Mega Rectangles using the Esse Smooth Pearlized Cocoa cardstock.
6.  The sentiment is a rub-on from the Encouragement and Thinking of You set.  I can't tell you how easy these are to use!!  You can use the wooden craft stick that comes with each set, but I've found that one of the large-ended stylus tools in the McGill Paper Blossoms Paper Tool Kit works wonderfully well!  Of course, these tools are great for shaping flowers, so this is a bonus use!
7.  I added a small section of the Brown Rhinestone Finesse Swirls before I adhered the rectangle with foam pads for dimension.  The Finesse Swirls are such a great buy!   They can easily be cut into sections to use on at least 3-4 projects.  They are currently available in brown, black and silver rhinestones, and white pearls.  They are really beautiful!
8.  An added bit of elegance was the flower from the Ceylon Garden set by Prima that I adhered with Fabri-Tac.  It comes with bling in the center, so it was good to go!
9.  The finishing touch was outlining the card with Gold Lines stickers.  These stickers add such a great look and are so easy to do!!
10. Hint:  This is another card that could be used for so many occasions!   Just change the sentiment and you have a birthday, get well, friendship, or sympathy card and more!!

Another beautiful card from Jennipher...

Hello everyone! it's Jennipher and I'm back with another card using the fabulous 3D art available at Classy Cards ''n Such online store.

For my card I chose to work with the Passion Flower, Camelia, Honeysuckle 3D die-cut sheet. I created my card base and then I added various layers of Laced with Grace designer paper. Some of the layers I matted with Esse Smooth Pearlized Cocoa paper. I added a bit of White Flower Eyelet Trim to one of the cardstock layers.

My focal point of the card is the 3D flower which I put together with large and small Joy Foam Pads. These flowers are super easy to put together and make for a really elegant card. People will think that you have worked on them for hours!

For finishing touches I added some Red Rhinestones by Want 2 Scrap.

Beverly has added some gorgeous Glitz Paper Pads to the store which is where my gorgeous designer paper came from. You need to check out these paper pads. I got one of each and I'm loving them!

Supplies:
3D Art flower die-cut sheet
Esse Smooth Pearlized Cocoa
Laced with Grace Glitz Paper Pad
White Flower Eyelet Trim
Want 2 Scrap Red Rhinestones
Joy Foam Pads

Thanks, Jenn!!

And thanks to each of you for stopping by!!!  Until next time...

Stairway to Heaven

Jennipher is back with another beautiful card!

Hello again! It's Jennipher for Classy Cards 'n Such. I've been wanting to try some of the fun folds for cards that you can create using your Scor-Pal or Scor-Buddy.

Today's card is called a Stair-Step card and I used this tutorial found at Splitcoast Stampers: http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/resources/tutorials/StairStepfold/. There's also a video in the link if you are more of a visual person.

I created my card base using my Score-Pal and Smooth Pearlized Cocoa cardstock. Once it was scored and folded the fun part began! I decorated each stair separately using patterned paper, outline stickers, a border punch and black pearls.

For the center step I needed to create a focal point and I used my Spellbinders Labels Eighteen to create an elegant shaped base. I die-cut some white cardstock into an oval shape and stamped my Scripture on it. Before adhering it to my shaped base, I sponged the edges with Milled Lavender Distress Ink. Once adhered to the base I added black pearls all around and finished off the center by adding the "blingy" flower off to the side.

If you've never made a stair-step fold card before I hope you will give it a try. It's super easy and tons of fun. The possibilities with this fold are endless!
