Blossoms Birthday

Our challenge this week at Classy Cards 'n Such is Lilacs and Lace.  Mindy here, with my interpretation of th e inspirational photos from our blog.  I die cut a few tiny flowers and formed them into what I think a lilac blossom would look like, I have never seen one in person.  They don't grow well here where I live in Texas.

I found an intricate lace doily that I had die cut previously, and adhered it to a background paper that fit my card base.  Then using the Hummingbird by Stacy Stamps, I stamped the bird and flower bunch on some watercolor paper and colored in with watercolor markers. While the watercolor was drying, I die cut two passes of the Tiny Flowers die cut by Impression Obsession and cupped them on my Paper Blossoms Craft Molding Mat available in the Classy Cards Online Store.  I hand-cut three shapes that look like a cluster of lilac, and then used my Art Institute Dries Clear Adhesive to adhere each flower. While the clusters were drying, I die cut around my stamping with a Labels Eighteen by Spellbinders then attached the three lilac blossoms.

Some lace, pearls, and rhinestones were added for bling, and the sentiment from Hope and Love Vintage Labels Eight and Nine from JustRite Stamps were added to complete the card.  I hope you have enjoyed my card, and will visit with us again for more card inspiration.

Thanks for stopping by!!!   Until next time...

Best Friends

Hi, it's Jenny today sharing a new card I created.

I only used a few dies on this card because the Cheery Lynn Lattice 2 die is so prominent, and it didn't need much else.  I cut the lattice out of pink card stock and glued it to the cream A2 card.  Then I created my flowers using Heartfelt Creations Arianna Blooms dies. The die set comes with five flower petals but I didn't use the largest because I wanted to keep my flowers a little smaller.  I colored the flowers with pink distress ink and a Mini Ink Blending Tool, before I shaped them using a stylus from the McGill Paper Blossoms Tool Kit and the Paper Blossoms Craft Molding Mat.

After the flowers were stacked and glued I adhered them to the card with Scor-Tape. I cut the Memory Box Amira Flourish with the same pink card stock I used for the Lattice 2 and popped it up with Joy Crafts Foam Pads. The sentiment from the JustRite Floral Vintage Labels Two was stamped using tuxedo black ink and cut with a Spellbinders oval die from my stash.

The card needed a little contrast so I added gray pearls to the flower centers and gray flourishes from another die in my stash.

*Note - The CCNS store no longer has the original Spellbinders Ovals. If you go to the online store here, go to the Search button in the upper right side and just type in the word Ovals. You will not only see other Spellbinders dies with ovals, but also other manufacturers dies and stamps that you can mix with other oval dies and stamp sets.

Thanks for visiting!

We hope you come back every day to see two new cards posted daily that the design team has created not only for the weekly challenge, but we also post two regular cards daily, later in the week, to give you even more inspiration!

Thank you for stopping by!!! Until next time...

Garden Poppies

Hello Classy friends, Diane here with you today!
Spring is finally arriving and I am anxious to get in my gardens, but until then, I can satisfy myself with some gorgeous handmade flowers!

I love this new die by PoppyStamps called Large Iceland Poppy. It cuts in several pieces, allowing you to make a
lifelike poppy. I cut the poppies from white card stock,
then sponged them with PanPastels Flower Coloring Kit. I think the PanPastels make them look so real!!

I slightly formed the petals using Paper Blossoms Tool Kit and Paper Blossoms Craft Molding Mat.

The Poppies were "popped up" (pun intended..lol), on Spellbinders Fleur de Elegance. These were  popped using Joy! Large Foam pads on a Spellbinders Oval Accent embossing folder.

The sentiment is one of my favorite go to stamp sets
by JustRite Poppies Label Twenty Nine.

Don't forget we have a weekly challenge and there is always a fabulous prize awarded to one lucky winner...

Birthday Blessings

Hi, Diane with you today.  Our challenge for this week is "On The Edge" - use an edge die on your project.  I started my card by stamping JustRite Classic Lace Edges Two on vanilla cardstock twice, once on each long edge. Then I cut the stamped edge out using the coordinating die Classic Edges Two.

Next, I decided to build a few flowers.  I stamped Heartfelt Creations Botanical Rose, cut it out with the matching die Heartfelt Creations Botanical Wings.  I colored the flowers and leaves with PanPastels Flower Coloring Kit

To form the flowers, I used Paper Blossoms Flower Molding Mat and Susan's Garden Tool Kit.  If you want/like to make your own flowers, I recommend both of these.

The stamens inside the flowers, came from another Heartfelt Creations flower die Arianna Blooms.
That is one thing that is so nice about these flower dies,
you can mix and match to make all kinds of flowers.  The centers of the flowers are Rock Candy Silver...love that sparkle!!  I added Memory Box Tall Chloe Stems under each flower.

To finish my card, I simply stamped my sentiment using
Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps Companion Words.

I would love to see you join in our weekly challenges...we always have a fabulous prize up for grabs!!

Birthday Thoughts

Hello Classy Friends!

Diane here with you today with my card for our newest challenge "Thoughtful"!

Now my card isn't a true "thoughtful" card but more of an
I am thinking of your birthday type of card. Make sense? Probably not, but I had already adhered the Happy Birthday down and it's staying put..lol!

I started with a background paper from Bellisima A5 paper pack which I distressed before adhering down.

The gorgeous lattice circle is a Joy! Crafts die Bille's Circle.  Next, I made a flower by using a gold metallic ink and stamping it with Heartfelt Creations Ariana Blooms set.  Then I cut it out with the Heartfelt Creations Ariana Blooms die set.  While I had both the dies and stamps out, I cut many more as shown below to use at a later date.

After the flowers were stamped and cut, I added Tim Holtz Distress inks Picked Raspberry and Worn Lipstick, blending the colors a bit using the Mini Ink Blending Tool.  I flipped the flowers over and spritzed with the Spritzer Bottle and used the Paper Blossoms Craft Molding Mat and Paper Blossoms Tool Kit to form the flower.  Once the flowers were colored, I did go back and sponge on more of the gold metallic ink to the petal edges.

I added a Memory Box Evershan Branch I cut from a black
piece of discarded packaging. (Beverly can order this die for you.)

A tiny bird was made using Meadow Branch Bird.  The top of the bird was cut using So Silk Fair Blue 130# card stock and the bottom with Champaign Neenah Pearlized Metallic 105# card stock.

I hope you enjoyed my card today...I would love to hear your thoughts!!
