Bright Colors

It is Shirley posting with a card for the new Bright Colors challenge.  I like bright and happy colors  so this was a fun challenge for me.

I decided to use the colors of orange, pink and green.  I am hoping you do not need your sunglasses while taking a peek at it.

I used the Crafts Too Dots Embossing folder to emboss the white card stock.  I added two layers of grass to the bottom of it using the Impression Obsession Small Grass Border die.

I stamped the bicycle using the the Impression Obsession Riding Pretty Stamp Set.    I colored the image with markers and cut it out with the Impression Obsession Bicycle die set. The tiny flowers were made with the PoppyStamps Small Hydrangea Blooms. I used Stickles for the center of the flowers.

I stamped the sentiment on the circle using Sweet n' Sassy Keep In Touch, Too stamp set.   For the finishing touch, I added three silver rhinestones.

Thanks for coming by and taking a look at my card.  I sure hope you will enter your bright colored card in our challenge.

Be Merry

Hi Diane here with you today, with another Christmas card to share.

I started with a red card stock base, then embossed white card stock with Crafts Too Dots embossing folder.

I cut a circle with Spellbinders original circle die, then stamped my sentiment using JustRite Christmas Inner Thoughts.

The wreath was cut with a Cottage Cutz Whimsical Holiday Wreath die. You should take a peek at this die, as not only does it come with the separate bow and flower dies I have used, but there is a gingerbread, bell, gift box, dove, deer, ornament and another flower to choose from.  These would also be great dies for gift tags.

The wreath itself was cut from an embossed metallic paper I had and a piece of craft foam underneath to give it a bit of depth.

The red flowers and bow were cut using Stardream Jupiter Metallic paper.  To the bow and flower centers, I added Silver Rhinestones.

Thank you for visiting with me today!

Cabrini Ornament

It is Shirley posting today.    It sure is starting to look a lot like Christmas.  I see Christmas lights everywhere I go and there is so much hustle and bustle going on in the stores with everyone doing their shopping.

I have another Christmas card to share with you today.   I really like how it turned out, but I was not real pleased with the photograph.  I have a hard time getting a good picture when I use foil paper/card stock.  I have fluorescent lights in my craft area and it really creates a shine.   I went out on the sun porch to take the picture and it really helped.  I still have just a touch of shine on the reindeer, but it was the best I could do.  If you have any tips that might help me with this,  please let me know.

I used a black card base and added a layer of shiny gold sticker paper that had stars on it.  I added white card stock and then a layer of gold snowflake vellum.  I cut the reindeer with the same gold paper using the Sue Wilson Deer Family Festive Collection.

I cut the ornament using the Memory Box Cabrini Ornament.  I used black, silver and gold paper to give my card an elegant look.  I added the snowflake using the Impression Obsession Small Snowflake Set.

The sentiment was gold embossed using the Impression Obsession Christmas Sentiments Stamp set.  I added black poinsettias using the PoppyStamps Small Blooming Poinsettia die.

I added the elements to my card using the Art Institute Dries Clear Adhesive.   I honestly love this adhesive.

For the finishing touch, I added Silver Rhinestones to the ornament and the poinsettias.  I added a Brown Rhinestone for the reindeer eye.

I am happy you dropped by to see us today.  I hope you enjoyed the card.  Come back and visit again, soon.

Tis The Season

Hi, it is Shirley posting today.   I have another Christmas card to share with you today. I am hoping to get my cards done so I can get them in the mail soon.

I started my card with a red card base and added a silver layer over it.  I embossed snowflakes on a white piece of card stock.

I used a stamp by Flourishes in the Holiday Topiaries set to stamp the "Tis The Season" on the upper corner of the white card stock.

Next I used the Memory Box Precious Mittens die to cut four red mittens with silver cuffs.  The little snowflakes on the front of the mittens were made using the Impression Obsession Small Snowflake Set.  I attached them to red twine with bows that goes across the card.

I cut three Memory Box Rizza Snowflakes.  I layered a silver snowflake under the white one.   I used the red one for the flake in the center of the white snowflake.

For the final touch to my card I added Silver Rhinestones and red sequins. You could also use the My Favorite Things Sequins die to make your own sequins.

Thanks for taking a look at my card today and have a great week.

Frosty Tree

Hi, Diane with you today!  We had our first big snowfall last week and the trees were covered with fresh fallen snow.  We also had a couple of deer visit, almost to the front door.  A very inspiring scene to create with, so that is what I did!

I used a gorgeous Starburst Lichen Aspire Petallic Metalic paper for my background.  I cut a Memory Box Medium Forest Archway from Luminized Curious Metallic paper.

Next is the gorgeous snow covered and glittery tree.  I cut Memory Box Frosted Christmas Tree from Pearlized Esse White Metallic paper.  I left the tree in the die, then coated it very heavily with Dreamweavers Regular Embossing Paste.  I used my Palette Knife to swirl the paste around a bit, then carefully took the die cut out, being careful not to touch the paste.  I then sprinkled Crystal Ice Glitter on and once dry, attached Baby Rhinestones - Turquoise.

Just make sure to quickly wash out your die and spatula when done.  You will find the paste dries very quickly.

I cut the deer using Impression Obsession Small Deer
from Champaign Neenah Pearlized Metallic paper.
I also cut the deer from a black craft foam to add height
and a bit of shadow behind them.

I hope you will give this card a try as it is very quick
to put together but looks beautiful when done.

Thank you for visiting with me today!
