Basket Full of Bunnies

It is Shirley posting. I made a cute Easter card that I wanted to share with you today. I got a late start on my Easter cards this year so I did not get many made,  but here is the second one I made.

I started out using a lavender card base. I found a dotted piece of Easter paper in my scrap bag that I used for the next layer before adding another scrap of blue card stock. I am always happy when I find something from one of my scrap bags because I have about eight huge bags that I need to use.

I used a basket die cut that I have had in my collection and has not been used very often.  I used dark brown card stock. I embossed the basket handle with the Dots Embossing Folder. The bottom part of the basket was embossed using the Anna Griffin Matelasse embossing folder.

I used green paper from the Graphic 45 Botanical Tea Paper to cut my grass using the Impression Obsession Small Grass Border.  I sponged a darker green ink on the grass to make it stand out more.  I put some of the grass in the basket and then added some at the bottom of the card for the basket to set in. I used an oval punch to punch the Easter Eggs. The bunnies were were cut using the Impression Obsession Bunny Set.   I used Art Institute Clear Adhesive to attach all the pieces to white card stock that I attached to the rest of my card.

Thank you for coming by today!  We are always happy when you stop in to see us.

Egg Hunt

Hi Diane here with you today!

It seems Easter is earlier this year, but still plenty of time to order your Easter stamps and dies!

I made a cute little Easter egg hunt scene. I cut about five sets of Impression Obsession Grass. This grass die is a taller grass, perfect for adding to the back of a scene. I layered it on, one over the other. In front I added a smaller strip of grass using Impression Obsession Small Grass Border.

Now, the fun part! I used a new die from Impression Obsession Girl With Easter Basket. This is a two die set, the little girl and the eggs. I cut her a second time to paper her piece her dress, and a third time to paper piece her basket. I added a bit of blush to her cheek.

The eggs were cut twice and I colored them with markers. Some I put in her basket, the rest I hide among the grass. This is where the tweezers from the Paper Blossom Tool Kit comes in handy to pick up those little eggs, dip in glue and put them where you want them. A good glue to use for this is Art Institute Dries Clear Adhesive.

I added a few little extra grass pieces and bunnies from
Impression Obsession Mini Bunnies. There are so many bunnies in this set, it is hard to pick a favorite!

To add a bit of color and fun, I cut 5 small clouds from
Memory Box Cloud Bank.

Blossom Like the Crocus

Hi, Diana here to share with you an Easter card for this week's On the Edge challenge.  I do apologize for the photograph being lopsided but it's hard to not get too much glare on the clear acetate.  In real life, I think it looks pretty neat!

For my background, I used several layers:  the base is the stitched die from My Favorite Things Blueprint 13.  I then used the scalloped edge from the Spellbinders A2 Curved Borders set on pink designer paper; another two of the dies from the same set on white card stock; then finally another two from my blue/green designer paper. It sounds like a lot of work but it went very quickly and the layered look is well worth it, I think.  It's also the first time I've used every die in a set on one card!  :)

My finishing touches were the white Memory Box Fresh Foliage and a fussy cut image from Our Daily Bread Designs' Earth's Gladdest Day colored with Copics.  The clear acetate was embossed with black detail embossing powder and cut out with the banner tag from MFT Blueprints 13.

Clear card stock is a new Heartfelt Creations product.   It's heavier than transparencies for overhead projectors and heat resistant.  I hope you will give it a try!  Order by Wednesday, March 11 and get 15% off this product by using CLEAR15 coupon code at checkout.

Chloe Blossoms

Hi, it's Jenny posting again. I created this card for the Classy Cards 'n Such Negative challenge.  I had so much fun with this challenge that I created two cards!  This is a perfect challenge for Clean and Simple style cards and I hope you can play along.

My recipe was simple.  Start with a detailed die like the Memory Box Tall Chloe Stem used here and then add an attractive designer paper behind it. I used Bo Bunny's Prairie Chic paper. I used Large Joy! Foam pads to pop up both layers off the main card.

To add a bit of sparkle I randomly added Love 2 Scrap Mother of Pearl Rhinestones. They are adhesive which was perfect and so easy to add into the blue negative space.  I also added matching sequins.

Thanks for looking and I can't wait to see your challenge entries!

Easter Blessings

Hi, it's Misti with a card to share with you today. Can you believe it's time to be thinking about Easter cards? It just doesn't seem possible to me, this year is flying by so fast!

I used the stamp from the Easter Blessings stamp set by Our Daily Bread.  I colored it in with Tim Holtz Peeled Paint Distress Marker using the Detailed Water Brush. The flowers are white, so I used the Wink of Stella clear glitter pen to give them a little dazzle.

Cut the Floral Ovals die by Spellbinders.  It took the largest one to get the whole image on there.  Don't forget to use the Cuttlehug to get into the intricate places!

Then I took a piece of green cardstock and used the Crafts Too! Scrollworks embossing folder. I put the Eggshell Seam Binding from the top to the bottom of the card. I attached the green cardstock to my white card base.

Then I added some White Baby Pearls to the image panel. Added a few pieces of Joy! Foam Pads to my image panel and attached it to the seam binding.  I made a bow with another piece of seam binding and attached it with a piece of foam.

I hope your Easter is a blessed one!

Your card is cute, clean and classy! Thanks Misti!

Cute Little Easter Chick

Hello Classy Friends, Diane here today with my cute little Easter chick card, I created for this weeks challenge Easter Inspirational Sentiment.

To start my card, I used the gorgeous Stardream Serpentine Pearlized Metallic paper. I can't say enough about these papers, except once you try them, you will want them in all the colors available!

I used the Darice Doily Lace embossing folder. Next layered my stamped Impression Obsession Chick on top, popped up with Joy! Foam Pads Large. The image was stamped on Spellbinders Classic Scalloped Ovals Small. I used Copics to color the image, except I paper pieced the chick using the Bo Bunny Soft Shades Double-Dot Designs.

Once the image was colored, I added Clear Glitter Pen Wink of Stella here and there.  If you tilt the card slightly it has a nice shimmer on the flowers, stem and  chick.

Your card is so cute along with a great sentiment! Thanks Diane!

Everything Beautiful

Hi Everyone! It's Jenn and I have a card to share with you today that was inspired by a challenge to use black and white.

I started with a 6x6 base of Bazzill Bling Cardstock in Black Tie. To that, I added a distressed layer of designer paper from the Prima Printery Collection. The edges were distressed and inked with Black Soot Distress Ink by Tim Holtz.

On the right side, I added a rectangle layer of the designer paper matted with the Black Tie CS.

Using Very Vanilla CS and my Cheery Lynn Dies I cut out two Sweet William flowers and a Fanciful Flourish. I added Black Pearls to the centers of the Sweet Williams.

I wanted my Scripture to be the focal point of the card so using my Spellbinders Lacy Ovals, I cut one oval out in Very Vanilla and the other one in Black Tie. I stamped my Scripture from the Our Daily Bread Designs Scripture Collection 1 onto the Very Vanilla oval. Once I had the ovals adhered to the card base, I accented each one with White Pearls.

For finishing touches, I couldn't resist using my Cheery Lynn Lace Corner Deco E dies with the Black Tie CS.

Congratulations are due to Jenn!   She was a recent winner with this card in Our Daily Bread Designs Black and White Challenge!!  Beautiful card, Jenn!!!
