Hot Chocolate Time

Hi, it's Joy today - Brrrr.... it's cold today - no snow though.  Supplies to make this shaker card can be found in the Classy Cards 'n Such online store.  I just love going through the store and getting inspiration.  This is for the week's challenge called "Winter Blues".

The sweet little snowman is from Twinkles.  After coloring the snowman and bird, I covered them with Wink of Stella.  The sentiment was heat embossed on the acetate with Sparkle 'n Sprinkle's White Fine Detail Embossing powder.  To pop up the panel for the shaker, I cut some Large Joy Foam Pads and fit them around it.  The blue background paper is some  I made with Ken Oliver's Indigo Color Burst and the card base was embossed with Dots by Crafts Too!.

Now it's time to join all the others in the Winter Blues challenge. First, go to the Classy Cards 'n Such blog, get some inspiration from the Design Team members and make your project using blues - be sure to look at the details on the blog and then link your project here at the Classy Cards'n Such blog.  You could be the winner of a nice prize.

Thanks for looking at my card and have a Happy Stamping Day!

Winter Fairies

Hello, Diana here with a winter inspired card.  And I am more inspired by this week's inspiration photo here at CCNS than I am the weather outside.  It has been so mild and even hot on some days.  It's made me wish for snow more than usual... and I'm not even a big fan of winter!

To create my wintry blue card, I started with a sheet of watercolor paper that I sprayed with water and some Ultramarine Blue color bursts.  Once that dried, I trimmed it down with the largest die from Spellbinders A2 Matting Basics A.  I also cut from the same sheet the Impression Obsession Small Snowflake Set.

For my top layer, I once again started with the largest die from Spellbinders A2 Matting Basics A but with white card stock.  I then used  PoppyStamps Distressed Benson corner die cut - it gives a beautiful negative die cut with just the right amount of swirls.

I then stamped this quote from Quietfire Design's Deep Within the Winter Forest with Memento Luxe Nautical blue pigment die and added clear embossing powder over it. Once I heat set that dry, I added the snowflakes using Art Institute glue to finish my card.

Thank you so much for looking!

Watch for more great deals!

Thanks for stopping by!!!  Until next time...

Celebrating You

Good morning! Joy here showing you a card I made for our Father's Day challenge. This week it is a photo challenge.

The supplies I used can be found at the Classy Cards 'n Such online store.

I started out by using some of the new Color Bursts by Ken Oliver, on several pieces water color card stock, then die cut the feathers. I stamped the banner sentiment from Botanical Medallions and Banners by Just Rite, and cut it out.

The chicken wire paper is from French Country by Graphic 45, and was die cut using the wide banner die from My Favorite Things Blueprints 13. The edges were inked up by using a Mini Ink Blending Tool, then the feathers were popped up using Small Joy Foam Pads and a little bit of twine was added.

Side note:  - Oh My Goodness -- you will just have to try the new Ken Oliver Color Bursts - they are so amazing - I kinda went a little crazy and used almost a whole pack of water color card stock. The color is so intense and it is easy to get fabulous results - and they are ON SALE!

Now back to the challenge - we sure would like for you to join in all the fun - you could be the winner of a nice prize! Just make a project using the guidelines found by clicking on the Current Challenge tab and then link it  at the bottom of this post. Invite a friend to join you - make a card together, or encourage your children to help make a Father's Day Card - wouldn't it be neat if one of your kids won the prize!

Thanks for looking at my card - I look forward to seeing your project.

Don't forget to check out all the new fun dies, stamps and more in the NEW section.

Thanks for stopping by!!! Until next time...
