Having scrimped the change for a spare hard drive off of his mom Charlie J is back in business, but during his absence we had the pleasure (ok, it was more like pain) of peeking at other angles of the wingnut-o-sphere, and boy is it ugly out there.

If you thought LGF was a hangout for genocidal lunatics, you'll be surprised just how much further a certain 'Debbie Schuessel' has taken things. Call us innocent, but we'd only vaguely heard about Ms Schuessel before, so we weren't quite prepared for what we found here after a tip-off from one of our readers.

Obviously, it's de rigeur among the American blogerati to belittle a city of close to 8 million people _ with a history four times longer than the entire United States _ as 'Londonistan' these days, so Londoners might not immediately feel well-disposed to Schuessel.

But it doesn't help that her questionable opinions are complemented by a complete disregard for facts.

First of all she says the keffiye is a symbol of Islam. Duh.

Next, she touts the stat that Muhammed is the 2nd most popular name in Britain, ignoring the inconvenient fact that less than 2% of male babies are called Muhammed _ even with a Muslim population of around 3 %. What's more, many of those Muhammad's will be just one of the names given to a baby.

Then there's this line: "by the time of the 2012 games, Muslims will likely dominate and rule Britain". Let's ignore the oozing racism here and just ask her for some sort of reference to back that up. Debbie, can you hear us?

And finally, there's this whopper: Schuessel claims that the logo for the London Olympics was "subsidized" by the U.S., which is "by far the largest payor to the IOC." Wow. Does she even know how the IOC works? Does she realize that if anything, the US OC is going to make money out of the 'Londonistan Olympics'? That it's British taxpayers, including British Muslim taxpayers, who will have to stump up to host the world and this stupid logo in their city in five years? That American companies will be making a tidy profit from sponsorship deals while Londoners put up with rate and rent increases?

Oh boy, bring back Johnson. At least his lunacy has limits!

ROP strikes in Oakland

A speeding tanker carrying thousands of gallons of gasoline crashed and exploded early this morning, causing 250 yards of freeway in the MacArthur Maze to melt and collapse in what one engineer called "the perfect fire".

The driver was speeding along the ramp connecting westbound Interstates 580 and 80 near Emeryville when the truck crashed at 3:42 a.m., according to CHP officials. The truck exploded in a fireball that melted the eastbound connector ramp.

James Mosqueda, 51, of Woodland, was identified as the drive, according to the CHP. Mosqueda had been driving about 10 months, for Sabek Transport out of San Francisco.

Here's what we know about the murderer of at least 32 students and maimer of at least 28 more at Virginia Tech, today:

* The murderer has been identified by law enforcement and media reports as "a young Asian male."

* The Virginia Tech campus has a very large Muslim community, many of which are from Pakistan (per terrorism investigator Bill Warner).

* Pakis are considered "Asian."

* There were 2 attacks at least half a mile apart.

* There have been at least two bomb threats to this campus in the last two weeks.

Is anyone really surprised Debbie Schlussel is the first to connect the VT shootings to Muslims without ANY evidence? Will anyone be surprised when her fellow bigoted travellers pick up on this and announce it as another front in the global jihad? But just in case it turns out not to be a Muslim there's always the get out clause, demonstrated in the same post by Debbie.

Even if it does not turn out that the shooter is Muslim, this is a demonstration to Muslim jihadists all over that it is extremely easy to shoot and kill multiple American college students.

These people are unbelievable.

The Chicago Tribune reports that Virginia Tech University massacre perpetrator, Cho Seung-Hui,

died with the words "Ismail Ax" in red ink on one of his arms. Hmmm . . .

Ismail--the Arabic name for Ishmael--considered the father of all Arabs and a very important figure in Islam.

I'm sure it's just a coincidence, right? Doesn't mean anything. Right.

Maybe "Ismail Ax" is the name of a friend of his. Or maybe he wanted to remind himself to buy an Ax for his friend Ismail for next Ramadan. Or I'm sure we'll hear some other similarly absurd "explanation." We'll see.

She's deranged even by LGF standards. PS according to web rumours, which to be fair are as about as reliable as the whole Debbie Schlussel report, 'Ismael Ax' was Cho Seung-Hui's X-Box Live login.

Perhaps there's a link to video game violence, perhaps not.

But we know the only link that will satisfy small minded bigots like Debbie is one to a 'global jihad'. No matter how tenuous or ridiculous.

UPDATE: One minute she's telling us that the shooter is probably a Muslim because of the 'very large Muslim community', the next? She's chastising the Washington Post for using a photograph showing a total of four Muslim students! Even fellow wingnuts must be wishing that she just shut up. It's getting embarrassing.
