Monday Mural
At last we found some new murals in Almere City of all places. A residential block along the "Weerwater" was embellished with several bird paintings. Hubby "sccollections" has another one, we had to divide fairly the pictures we made...:). Linking to "Monday Murals"

Back to normal
Some rests of snow, in Almere City. In two days all the snow had gone as if we never had a winter with ice and snow fun.

Monday Mural
I found a 3D mural (flooral) in the archives from 2016, in Almere, made at the yearly 3D festival we had in those days.
And another one. I am always impressed by the magic of these paintings. When you pass by the painting it is flat on the street and suddenly looking from a different view it pops up.

Reunion
I was invited this week for a farewell party of a former colleague in the Public Library. She said goodbye after 36 years of work and I have known her for that long.
Many current and former colleagues had come and it was a nice Reunion for everyone.

Photoshoot
In 2009 I had retired from my work at the public library. In 2011 I was asked with two other retired colleagues for a photoshoot for a publication to promote the library.
It was fun to see each other again.
Hubby had come too and could participate.
It is long ago but I was browsing in my old photos and found these ones I had almost forgotten.

Monday Mural
Another one at the Freedom festival of May 5th in Almere Stad.
I don't like it very much, the graffiti and the grim face and have no idea what it means.

Liberation festival
Almere had the honor to be the city where the national celebrations of this day started.
The prime minister had lit the freedom fire, a bit difficult to see, I enlarged it a bit.
There were various music performances.
A blow up church where you could meet some well known people. And many more meet and great tents for talks about freedom. It was a cold day to be out, so we left the festival behind and went for a tea and cake to get warm and returned home.

Mural
At the liberation festival in Almere City to celebrate the end of the WW II in the Netherlands in 1945, were all kind of events as these murals made by artists. Have no idea who this is, couldn't ask the artist who had gone for a moment. Could be a Dutch singer "Father Abraham"?
