In Helmond we saw a great retrospective exhibition of the British photographer Martin Parr. It took us a one and a half hour drive to get there and it was the first real summerday with high temperatures, but is was worth it. Both SC and me like his work very much. He is known for his photographic projects that take a critical look at aspects of modern life, in particular provincial and suburban life in the UK. He has been in the Netherlands a few times and at the poster you see his way he saw the dutch.
He has a very original and hilarious way of looking at people. We saw a documentary about him which was very interesting to see how he works and makes his choices. He even has a blog you can read here and watch his webpage to see his newest photos
I finish with a quote of him that was written on the wall.
