Fearless

I watched this little boy at the Safety Day some weeks ago. I think he was about 4 or 5 years old and climbed up in an amazing high speed.

Another speedy little one, those kids have a lack of fear of heights.

The older the higher. Standing on a small stepladder I already feel my knees trembling....

Safety Day (2)

I go on with some pictures of the Safety Day last weekend. Here a demonstration of a flood situation with a flooded house where some people had to be rescued.

There was fire.

A diver.

And a lot of military stuff to climb on.

Little boys were excited to get a camouflage painting.

This is an old fireboat used in Amsterdam for fires in canalhouses. The boat is now in a museum in Almere.

Safety Day

Last weekend I visited a "Safety Day" in Almere. I had no idea what to expect but when I arrived I noticed our local theater square was transformed into a kind of film set with fake houses in front.

We got a perfomance of armed military invading a house where some criminals were inside.

These armed men behind the car were shooting blanks at the house to cover their comrades which was very noisy and realistic.

And here he is adducted.

Then we got a demonstration of police dogs catching a criminal. The poor man was  fortunately wearing a special suit.

The dogs were well trained, jumping on a car.

And even right into the car through the side window.

In the end this man got a dog hanging on his arm, he had no special suit only a leather jacket. Well it was all in the game.
