ARTZUID 2013

The exhibition "ARTZUID" 2013 is every two years in the open air in the south area of Amsterdam. You can walk along the most wonderful sculptures for free. These mirrors "Holy Land" are made by Algerian artist Kader Attia. The surroundings are reflected in different pieces.

 And blogger herself.

Yeeeh, I catched hubby (sccollections) too.

Flower

A sunny flower today because the sun shines after a few rainy days. This artwork is made by"Yayoi Kusama" an avant-garde sculptor and painter and is called "Flowers that bloom tomorrow". It is exposed at the "ArtZuid" exposition in Amsterdam which I have showed before.
Yayoi Kusama is from Japan and famous for her polka dot art, in the sixties she painted them on the skin of naked people, but now she makes mostly museal art.

ArtZuid again

Posted by PicasaEvery minute is special by Sylvie Fleury

Red Man by Thomas Houseago

And this is what you get with art in the open air, schoolgirls having a pause sat down on "the Happy Prince" by Ryan Gander. Maybe they were waiting for their "Prince on the white Horse"?

Once more a few sculptures of ArtZuid, there were so many of them that I hadn't see them all. So I went
back yesterday to see the rest of it.
About the aeroplane of Joost Conijn yesterday I can tell you that he really has made a flight with it to Africa.
Look here for an interview with him (only in dutch)

Searching for Utopia by Jan Fabre
Aeroplane by Joost Conijn
The elephant by Karel Appel

During this summer there is a beautiful art exhibition in the open air in Amsterdam, visible for free for everyone. Famous works from Karel Appel, Corneille, Joan Miro, Jean Dubuffet and many others are placed in two long avenues, 58 pieces in total. It is incredible to see all this beauty not in a museum but outside. Look at their  the website for more information.
