Reactions to BBC Three's Anti-Muslim Video of Ex Muslim
BBC Three recently aired a video with the description:
Kicked out of home for not believing in the Muslim faith, Sara, a young, ex-Muslim has a powerful story to tell.
Here are a few responses to this silly anti-Muslim video which shows the BBC is trolling Muslims. Since when was the last time it attacked Jews, Sikhs or Christians in such a way?
The BBC would never air a programme on youngsters being thrown out for accepting Islam. I am personally aware of individuals who were thrown out due to their belief in Islam. While the BBC deliberately ignores thousands of Muslim reverts, for obvious reasons, the organisation focuses on very rare cases of apostasy and attempts to paint them as normal.
This is another campaign to spread hatred against Muslims. Such individuals can easily sell to Islamophobic institutions like the BBC for money or fame. Many of them apostatise due to personal inclinations such as homosexuality, extra-marital relationships, hatred of culture etc. Very often religion has little to do with their grievances. Mostly youngsters apostatise either due to lack of knowledge or lack of connection with their faith. While one or two leave the faith, thousands of others are joining every single day.
Her (un)belief aside, why is this unfortunate character hurting her parents by parading her story in public. It is evident that her parents are not happy with her disbelief. Just like any parents wouldn't like their children to leave their faith. llllllSuch cases of apostasy must be dealt with carefully and parents must convince their children with love and compassion. If parents do not practice the faith or take it seriously then such outcomes are inevitable. It is not the faith where the problem is, it is the way it is taught or not taught at all. [Adnan Rashid]
How come the BBC never shows a documentary about:Jews leaving Judaism [Taleb Al-Dean]
Waseem Khan: I used to eat donner kebabs but now I don't. Please send a camera crew to my house so I can tell you my powerful story. Thanks lads
Zhill AbdRahman: The irony about the ex-Muslim brigade, who by the way, most muslims would tell them that it's their choice, do what they want, but what you find is that it is them who can't let go and without their association with the word "Muslim", they appear to have no relevance.

A Christian's Observation of Ex Muslims
A comment from a Christian:
"I want to share that what I've seen with American apostates from Islam is that the ones who wound up returning to Islam were won back via Muslims who continued to reach out to them, be their friends, sincerely (yet slowly, and respectfully) engage their objections. Muslims who waved them off as worthless and spoke negatively about them contributed nothing to the process of winning their heart back.
And the same sorts of phenomena exist in Christianity. People abandon the faith all the time, in droves (honestly, the secular world has the most successful "da`wa," and while far more Christians have been swept away, Muslims in the west are starting to witness the pull of the secular world a bit too). Some Christians (not a majority, but nonetheless a bunch) who leave the faith wind up returning. Christians who belittled them or spoke negatively about them (in some of the same ways as described above) contributed zero to their return. On the other hand, Christians who continued to respect them, maintain friendships with them, and slowly have long on and off conversations with them (which could span months or even years) were significant factors in winning them back."

Ali Sina's Brazen Effrontery
Ali Sina, the owner of Faith Freedom International, is an intellectual bankrupt man, a charlatan by all means, and even more so a loathsome person (if you get to know him, even briefly). On September 8, 2013 I had a short discussion with Ali Sina on Twitter, challenging him on certain premises he was unable to defend. He casually remarked I was pulling red herrings out of my pocket -- which I'll give him for the benefit of doubt. However, what struck me about this man (or woman, possibly?), is he couldn't help but keep his pretentious, and at times brazen behavior in check. The following tweets certainly demonstrate that Ali Sina willfully gives into ostentation whenever he is challenged:
What we find here is that Ali Sina happens to be an extremely brazen individual. With little to no shame or honor, he claims "I am the expert" -- one would have to admit the man must have gotten a bit carried away. However, Ali Sina then says that "I understand Islam better than ALL Muslims...", probably another shameless gaffe on Ali Sina's part? Of course not. Finally, Ali Sina proudly states he's studied Islam for "19 years". The only problem with this assertion is that Muslims study their faith to the time of their death, give or take 60+ years?
Ali Sina, come out of your closet and have debates with real men; with people who've dedicated their entire lives to the faith. We suggest debaters such as Adnan Rashid and/or Shabir Ally. If you truly are the "expert" you claim to be, let's see you in action rather than pretending and building a digital facade for your fans to indulge over.
"I am the expert. Invite any pretender to this title to debate with me. I will give each of you $50 k if he wins." |
"I understand Islam better than ALL the Muslims and offer to pay $50 k to anyone who can show I am mistaken on Mo." |
"It must be embarrassing for you. I have spent 19 years studying Islam and can defeat any Muslims scholar." |
