American Muslim Girl Converted to Christianity Exposes Christian Missionaries

 

This s a very sad comment. I feel many Muslim girls in the US are preyed upon by fundamentalist Christian missionaries in a similar vain. It's important to raise awareness amongst Christians and Muslims. For Muslims it's vital information so they can act as shepherds with regards to their children in order to stave off attempts by Christians to evangelize their kids towards Christianity. It's important for sincere Christians to know of malpractice amongst their preachers and missionaries so they can police them and cut off funding to such Christian missionaries/preachers.

An American Muslim girl who converted to Christianity is regretful and has left a really insightful comment claiming she was indoctrinated and taken advantage of by Christians - the young lady feels her youth and her Muslim background were taken advantage. She has deep regrets over some of the things she did and was saying while under the influence of the Christian missionary/ies:

There is no doubt that I did not apply the same level of criticism towards my Christian beliefs as I did towards my Muslim faith. There are lots of reasons for this and I will forever regret that I did not do this. But I was young, naive, and taken advantage of. My soul was empty, Christian's saw it and filled the emptiness with a Bible and full throttle indoctrination. 15-17 was way to young for me to be doing the things I was doing and saying the things I was saying I forever regret them, but I also attribute this to a lack of direct parental involvement in my life. I wish I could figure out a way to best express what happened to me and what motivated my decisions and the statements I made during this time, but I'm still not sure how to go about it with a heart that is not filled with bitterness and anger towards those who I feel took advantage of my youth and my muslim background. Negeen Mayel Condemns the Radicalized David Wood!

I have had email conversation with a young lady called Negeen Mayel. She used to be part of Acts 17 Apologetics/Answering Muslims. As the emails are confidential I shall not publish them, however she did leave a comment on my blog which is open to the public so I shall feature it in this blog post. Through Negeen Mayel's comments one can observe that people do see through the hatred and sheer radicalisation which Islamophobia brings upon a person.

I honestly to this day have never viewed that video that David posted. I don't need to, he is wearing a womans spaghetti strap and posted it on his website that is associated with his ministry that seeks to win Muslims to Christ. This degree of outlandishness displays a lack of sheer respect towards the muslim community and that video should not have been posted. Over time I have come to seriously doubt the wisdom behind certain things that David does. Self radicalization can happen to anyone. Unfortunately, I think David has self radicalized himself into having a perspective of Islam that is heavily influenced by evil actions committed by bad people. If I wanted to spend all day reading articles about evil actions committed by Afghanis I would begin to hate all Afghans, but because I have a broader understanding of the Afghan community, because I have been around Afghans who love, laugh, and give generously I understand that not all Afghans are terrorists who hate women. I really wish David would spend less time self radicalizing himself and spend more time amongst the homes of normal muslims who love the good things in this world

It's sad to see a bloke who absolutely oblivious to the irony of him painting Muslims as extremists looking to rape, plunder and butcher whilst he himself is being labelled a radical by his own friends/colleagues. Speaking about his friends and colleagues, where's Nabeel Qureshi? That's right, he is not part of Dave's crew anymore? Where's Hogan, I haven't seen him for a while? Has he left hatred of Muslims and Islam too?

I think this is a success story that should help inspire all those who are opposing Islamophobes - people do turn away from the Islamophobes and recognise THEM as the radicals!

David, is this the what you want to be known for? People who donate to you and feed your ego are not your friends. I've seen the comments of some of your followers - these people hate Muslims. What happens when these people get bored or just grow up? They will leave you - no more donations and no more ego-feeding yelps. Look at the example of Sam, he's been doing his stuff for well over a decade and he is scratching around on the net for donations with a miserable reputation amongst his own and amongst Muslims. Is this what you want? Is this what you really want? This IS what Islamophobia delivers.

Dave, please have a rethink.

A Muslim word to Negeen Mayel’s Parents + Family

I hope your daughter, Negeen, manages to overturn the ruling against her “conviction”. I do believe it is unjust and the police were motivated by “revenge” for the negative reporting Dearborn suffered at the hands of Acts 17.

I am concerned that she claims to be a former Muslim who is now a Christian. From my experience, Muslims who do convert to Christianity have either been mis-sold Christianity and/or were not familiar with the Islamic faith.

However, I am further concerned as to the company she is keeping. The co-founder (David Wood) of the Acts 17 group is of particular concern as his efforts in demonising Islam do not resonate with fine reason. Here is Mr Wood presenting an extremely disturbing sexual lie about Islam:

Negeen Mayel Found Guilty Plus Acts 17 Apologetics Acquitted

I hate to say "I told you so" but I'm going to say it.

After reviewing all the elements in the equation; I had expected Acts 17 Apologetics to be found not guilty in Dearborn with respects to the charge of breach of peace but the charge against Negeen Mayel (failure to obey police orders) was a nailed on certainty. That is what has happened.

Nabeel Qureshi of Virginia, Negeen Mayel of California, and Paul Rezkalla and David Wood, both of New York, were acquitted of breach of peace, 19th District Court officials in Dearborn said after the verdict. Mayel was found guilty of failure to obey a police officer's order. [1]

The charge of breach of peace was never going to be proven as the Christian (Roger Williams) complaining against them had insufficient supporting evidence for his claim to be upheld; thus Acts 17 Apologetics were always unlikely to be found guilty

It was a "Christian Vs Christian" Battle in Court

I would like to congratulate Acts 17 Apologetics and condemn their Christian accuser (Roger Williams). At this point we should not conflate this with the very real claim of deception on the part of Acts 17 Apologetics - for some reason Acts 17 Aplogetics made it out to be a Muslim Vs Christian thing and even suggested Dearborn was being run by Sharia (Islamic Law). Certainly, this was errant nonsense on the part of Acts 17 Apologetics; they were simply hate mongering against Muslims. Interestingly enough, the Mayor of Dearborn (Jack O Reilly), after the trial, called them out for their hatred and attention whoring:

"It's really about a hatred of Muslims," O'Reilly said. "That is what the whole heart of this is..... Their idea is that there is no place for Muslims in America. They fail to understand the Constitution." [1]

A word on Negeen Mayel of Califiornia

It appears her conviction will be appealed. I pray for her, she is young and somewhat naive. I really hope this sparks the end of her association with this group of Christian fundamentalists

A word on Acts 17 Apologetics

They may have been found not guilty in Dearborn but their guilt of hate-mongering and deception is written on their faces. Why use deception to have a dig at Muslims and Islam?

Only Acts 17 Apologetics can answer that.

Let's pray for all involved (including their Christian accuser, Roger Williams).

Addendum: It is appropriate for those who accused Acts 17 Apologetics of a Breach of Peace prior to the Dearborn trial to recant and apologise. It appears I fall into this category so I apologise too.

My beef has always been with Acts 17 Apologetics' dishonesty; they tried to make this out to be a Christian Vs Muslim issue and subsequently hate-monger against Muslims based on this false premise. It was never anything to do with Sharia - it was a Christian Vs Christian thing. I just hope Acts 17 Apologetics have the good sense to acknowledge this and apologise for their gross and dangerous deception - Muslims could have been physically harmed due to the potential fundamentalist-Christian backlash arising from Acts 17 Apologetics' deliberate misinformation.
