"UK Government Allowed British Muslims to Rape English Girls for Votes" - Anne Marie Waters Propganda Exposed

This was the vile propaganda a lady called Anne-Marie Waters was presenting at Speakers' Corner in London. It's indicative of the hateful propaganda Muslims in Europe are subjected to.

In this video we look at Anne Marie Waters' lies with the lens of consistency and correction.

Firstly, let's put an end to this malicious lie that Sharia allows rape. Here's what two prominent Muslim scholars have said about rape:

This is an abhorrent crime that is forbidden in all religions and in the minds of all wise people and those who possess sound human nature. All earthly systems and laws regard this action as abhorrent and impose the strictest penalties on it.

Islam has a clear stance which states that this repugnant action is haram (forbidden) and imposes a deterrent punishment on the one who commits it [Sheikh Saleh al Munajjid]

Rape is a horrible crime; a horrible sin before God. You must honor the wombs that carried you [Imam Suhaib Webb]

Anne-Marie Waters' Vile Anti-Muslim propaganda exposed

If the video does not play, please see here

Anne Marie Waters read reports of criminal Muslims in Britain who raped English girls (all communities have criminals in them) and she decided to  disingenuously link this with Sharia in order to further her anti-Muslim  agenda. As we can clearly see from the unambiguous quotes above from authorities on Islam, Sharia does not allow rape.

However, I wonder if Anne-Marie Waters would be consistent when it comes to labelling whole communities and religions as rapists based on a few criminals within the said community. In the video I highlight reported claims of forced sex within the US army, would Anne-Marie Waters say Christian and American law allows this? I also used a headline about our UK armed forces, an organisation which is plagued by male rape - would Anne Marie Waters claim the UK government allows Christian/Atheist soldiers to rape other males for votes?

Are Muslims allowed to have sex slaves?

The net is really tightening on Anti-Islamic folk who propagate the deception of Muslims being allowed to rape slave women. I have already posted this interesting number to counter their falsehood and expose their propaganda:

And of course there's this little piece highlighting what Muslim scholars think of rape:

It’s commonly claimed by some critics that Islam allows Muslims to have sex slaves. Their reasoning behind this argument is that there are verses from the Quran that talk about Muslims being allowed to have right hand captives, for example the following verse:
33:50 O Prophet! We have made lawful to thee thy wives to whom thou hast paid their dowers; and those whom thy right hand possesses out of the prisoners of war whom Allah has assigned to thee..
And then from the hadith:
Narrated Abu Said Al-Khudri that during the battle with Bani Al-Mustaliq they (Muslims) captured some females and intended to have sexual relations with them without impregnating them. So they asked the prophet about coitus interruptus.  The prophet said, “It is better that you should not do it, for Allah has written whom He is going to create till the Day of Resurrection”.Qaza’a said, “I heard Abu Said saying that the prophet said, “No soul is ordained to be created but Allah will create it.”” (Sahih Bukhari Volume 9, number 506)
So from such Quranic verses, and hadiths, the critic makes the argument that this is proof of sexual slavery and that Muslims are allowed to rape their right hand captives.

Now if you actually read the verse, and hadith again, nowhere does it say anything about raping, or forcing a female captive to have sex. This is something the critic has literally made up, they have jumped and made the argument, that since the hadith talks about sex, it must mean rape. So the argument actually says more about their minds and what they’re thinking, rather than what the Quran and hadith are saying.

Not only do these texts say nothing about raping your captives, we do in fact have Quranic verses, hadiths, and scholarly opinions that forbid such acts. The Quran for example says:
“Let those who find not the wherewithal for marriage keep themselves chaste, until God gives them means out of His grace. And if any of your slaves ask for a deed in writing (to enable them to earn their freedom for a certain sum), give them such a deed if ye know any good in them: yea, give them something yourselves out of the means which God has given to you. But force not your slave-girls to prostitution when they desire chastity, in order that ye may make a gain in the goods of this life  (The Noble Quran, 24:33)”
This verse was revealed after the following incident:
Narrated Jabir ibn Abdullah:  “Musaykah, a slave-girl of some Ansari, came and said: My master forces me to commit fornication. Thereupon the following verse was revealed: “But force not your maids to prostitution (when they desire chastity). (24:33)”  (Translation of Sunan Abu Dawud, Divorce (Kitab Al-Talaq), Book 12, Number 2304)”
So here we have a direct and explicit refutation to the precise argument of the critic. A man was forcing his slave girl into fornication, and so the Quran revealed a verse that said that you are not allowed to force slave girls, i.e. right hand captives, into fornication.

Hence the Quran completely refutes the argument of Muslims supposedly being allowed to rape or force their right hand captives into sex, this is a figment of the critics own warped imagination.
Now from the hadiths, and we read the following and very interesting hadith concerning how a Muslim must treat their right hand captive:
Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him ordered his followers to be kind to their slaves: Narrated Al-Ma’rur: At Ar-Rabadha I met Abu Dhar who was wearing a cloak, and his slave, too, was wearing a similar one. I asked about the reason for it. He replied, “I abused a person by calling his mother with bad names.” The Prophet said to me, ‘O Abu Dhar! Did you abuse him by calling his mother with bad names You still have some characteristics of ignorance. Your slaves are your brothers and Allah has put them under your command. So whoever has a brother under his command should feed him of what he eats and dress him of what he wears.  Do not ask them (slaves) to do things beyond their capacity (power) and if you do so, then help them.’   (Translation of Sahih Bukhari, Book 2, Belief, Volume 1, Book 2, Number 29)”
According to this hadith, the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) said that slaves are like our brothers; basically they are to be treated properly, and not to be abused. They are to be fed and clothed by the same things we eat and dress with. Now how on earth can one make the argument that Islam allows Muslims to rape their right hand captives when you have a hadith telling Muslims their right hand captives are like family and that they are not be abused?

Last but not least, we now turn our attention to what the classical scholars of Islam have said about the issue.

Imam Malik, founder of the Maliki School of jurisprudence said:
In our view the man who rapes a woman, regardless of whether she is a virgin or not, if she is a free woman he must pay a “dowry” like that of her peers, and if she is a slave he must pay whatever has been detracted from her value. The punishment is to be carried out on the rapist and there is no punishment for the woman who has been raped, whatever the case.  (Imam Maalik, Al-Muwatta’, Volume 2, page 734)
Imam Shaafi founder of the Shaafi School of jurisprudence said:
“If a man acquires by force a slave-girl, then has sexual intercourse with her after he acquires her by force, and if he is not excused by ignorance, then the slave-girl will be taken from him, he is required to pay the fine, and he will receive the punishment for illegal sexual intercourse. (Imam Al Shaafi’i, Kitaabul Umm, Volume 3, page 253)
So in conclusion, Islam does not allow Muslims to rape their right hand captives, no such texts exist, on the contrary from what we have just seen, Islamic texts clearly forbid such acts.

Reveal Muslim Scholars Views on Rape For All

Is rape a crime in Islam? Yes!

The renowned Saudi scholar, Sheikh Muhammad Saleh Al-Munajjid, condemns the act of rape and describes it as a CRIME which is FORBIDDEN and punishable:

This is an abhorrent crime that is forbidden in all religions and in the minds of all wise people and those who possess sound human nature. All earthly systems and laws regard this action as abhorrent and impose the strictest penalties on it.

Islam has a clear stance which states that this repugnant action is haram (forbidden) and imposes a deterrent punishment on the one who commits it [2]

Is rape oppression and injustice? Yes!

Here we see a comment by Sheikh Hamza Yusuf on rapists. Sheikh Hamza Yusuf believes rape is oppression and injustice:

The rapist oppresses by taking advantage of the physical weakness of his victim. Oppression is a form of injustice, and injustice always occurs from an abuse of power, hidden or manifest. [The Prayer of the Oppressed, Hamza Yusuf,Sandala Productions, 2010, Kindle Loc. 175]

So it is a myth to say Islam condones rape or allows rapists to go free? Yes!

This is confirmed by Sheikh Faraz Rabbani:

However, it is a myth to say that Islam would in any way condone rape, or allow a rapist to go free for this terrible crime against an innocent human being and against society

Is rape a sin? Yes!

Men! No matter how fly you are, or pious, you do not have the right to take advantage of women, trick them into Motel Six marriages or inflict your ego onto their bodies. Know that God sees you, your hearts and what you souls have locked away. If you have these feelings, know that there are those willing to help you before you hurt others. Rape is a horrible crime; a horrible sin before God. You must honor the wombs that carried you

See: http://thefactsaboutislam.blogspot.co.uk/2014/05/muslim-imam-speaks-out-against-rape.html

Is the rape victim punished for being raped? No!

Ibn `Abdul-Barr (may Allah bless his soul) said

There is no punishment for the woman if it is true that he forced her and overpowered her. (Al-Istidhkaar, 7/146). [2]

To punish the rapist, are four witnesses required? No!

Sheikh Rabbani states: The four witness requirement applies only to the prescribed hadd punishment (which in the case of a married person could be death and for the non-married, 100 lashes). [Marghinani, Hidaya] This punishment is only applied in very rare cases, as is clear, and is meant to be a social deterrent, above all.

As the classical and contemporary jurists (such as Mufti Taqi Usmani) have made clear, a rapist can be convicted on lesser evidence (including scientific evidence, such as DNA tests and medical reports) for discretionary punishments. These discretionary punishments are left up to the legal system to determine. [3]

So, the hadd punishment requires four witnesses but other discretionary punishments for the rapists do not? Correct!

Ibn `Abdul-Barr said:

The scholars are unanimously agreed that the rapist is to be subjected to the hadd punishment if there is clear evidence against him that he deserves the hadd punishment, or if he admits to that. Otherwise, he is to be punished (that is, if there is no proof that the hadd punishment for zina may be carried out against him because he does not confess and there are not four witnesses, then the judge may punish him and stipulate a punishment that will deter him and others like him)… (Al-Istidhkaar, 7/146). [2]

Can the rapist still receive hadd punishment even if he does not use a weapon? Yes!

Sheikh Mohammad Saleh al Munajjid writes: In addition, the rapist is subject to the hadd punishment for zina, even if the rape was not carried out at knifepoint or gunpoint.

What about rape at knifepoint?

Sheikh al Munajjid states: If the use of a weapon was threatened, then he is a muharib, and is to be subjected to the hadd punishment described in the verse in which Allah says (The recompense of those who wage war against Allah and His Messenger and do mischief in the land is only that they shall be killed or crucified or their hands and their feet be cut off from opposite sides, or be exiled from the land. That is their disgrace in this world, and a great torment is theirs in the Hereafter) (Al-Ma’idah 5:33).

So the judge has the choice of the four punishments mentioned in this verse and may choose whichever he thinks is most suitable to attain the objective, which is to spread peace and security in society, and ward off evildoers and aggressors. [2]

Rape statistics are relatively low in Muslim countries

NationMaster’s per capita rape statistics do not include a Muslim country in the top 30. The statistics show the US, UK, Australia, Canada, Spain and France as having more rapes per capita than any Muslim country. [4]

Muslim Ressponds to Richard Littlejohn

Jamal Harwood’s open letter to Richard Littlejohn

Executive Committee member of Hizb ut-Tahrir Britain, Jamal Harwood writes an open letter in response to Richard Littlejohn’s anti-Muslim article published in the Daily Mail.
Dear Mr Littlejohn,
Peace be upon those who tread the path of guidance.
Thomas Jefferson may have been rather harsh, but was most likely on the money, when he said, The man who reads nothing at all is better educated than the man who reads nothing but newspapers”.
Undoubtedly, February is la morte-saison when it comes to your Daily Mail column.  After all why would your readers want to learn about the political crisis in Ukraine, the ongoing humanitarian disaster in Syria or the flimsy economic recovery when they can get such a tolerant and liberal insight into a Muslim community day out to Legoland.
Of course, you are no stranger to controversy and let’s face it popularity comes before principles.  Take for instance your previous form in justifying the bombing of offices of the company that administers the London congestion charge.  Commenting on the letter bomber, you wrote, “we can all empathise with what drives him over the edge” [Daily Mail, 9 February 2007].  Clearly you are partial to certain types of bombing.
What amazed me is how the article managed to amalgamate female genital mutilation with Legoland Knights’ Kingdom, merge evening prayers with shopping mall bombings and combine virgins in Paradise with bacon sandwiches.  I am sorry to say, that the final result, was not the prettiest piece of journalism to emerge from the Daily Mail.
While clearly, by design, the article had racist undertones such as the jokes about ‘kofti kebabs’, the predominant theme that emerged was the danger that the public faces from Muslims who practice their faith.  The article sets out to leave the reader in no doubt that observant Muslims are a clear and present danger to Western societies.  You may have tried to veil this narrative behind jokes about Lego, grenades and bacon sandwiches, but it is nevertheless wholly apparent.
I thought (albeit briefly) about how to craft an intellectual response to your article but concluded that it is neither possible nor productive.  After all, even your readers must see that the article is a rant and does not merit a rigorous intellectual response.  I can merely surmise that your article is simply a reflection of the values that you hold dear; lies, half-truths, inaccuracies, prejudice and cultural imperialism.
The hypocrisy of your position is staggering and is worthy of mention:
  1. You malign the noble Islamic injunction of Jihad, in which wars are not fought for resources, jobs or empire, while you never utter a word against the West’s post-modern crusade against the Islamic people or expose the pernicious nature of Western colonialism.  If the motivation for Jihad were for other than truth and justice, Islam would have indeed died an early death.  Indeed, it is militant democracies such as the USA and UK whose hands are drenched with the blood of hundreds of thousands of civilians in Iraq and Afghanistan.
  1. You insinuate that young Muslim children who go to Legoland on a day trip will be schooled in violence and aggression. Yet you ignore the societal playground in which violent video games, street gangs and the overall problem of crime is spiralling out of control at all levels, including investment bankers who rig markets (FX and LIBOR) and launder money for criminals and drug gangs (HSBC scandal) with little or no sanction.
  1. You poke fun at the Islamic rules related to the relationship between the sexes and the position to which Islam elevated men and women, yet you remain silent over the epidemic of domestic violence that blights Western societies, the sexualisation of children and the disease of individualism which has resulted in 5 millions Britons saying that TV is their main form of company. The Independent on the 25th May 2012 reported that, “Nearly half of young women in London were sexually harassed in public last year, with many forced to endure unwanted male attention on buses and trains, a new study shows”. Yet you poke fun at Muslim gatherings where men and women dress modestly and treat each other respectfully.
Let it be known that Muslims in the West:
  • Are willing and open to debate and discuss all of the claims you make and all of what you accuse Islam and the Muslims of.
  • Will not fall for the trap that seeks to divide Muslims into ‘moderates’ and ‘extremists’ and to conflate the widespread Muslim aspiration for Shariah and Khilafah with terrorism and militancy.
  • Are not interested in trading insults, half-truths and lies but will not remain silent in the face of such tactics.
We invite people of all faiths to participate in a robust intellectual debate, away from the pages of the Daily Mail and the tabloids, in an atmosphere of candour and geniality.
Finally, it is reasonable to suggest that if the Daily Mail has chosen to sell the newspaper by aiming for the lowest common denominator, it ought to abandon its tone of moral superiority.
“Say: ‘O mankind! Now truth has come to you from your Lord. So whosoever receives guidance, he does so for the good of his own self; and whosoever goes astray, he does so to his own loss; and I am not (set) over you as a Wakeel (disposer of affairs to oblige you for guidance)’.” [The Quran, Chapter 10, Verse 108]

Islam does Not Allow Rape!

Is Rape Allowed in Islam? By Yahya Snow

An allegation by Islamophobes on the internet; they claim Islam allows rape. This is a hateful and bigoted allegation that has no other intention but to demonize Muslims. Of course this claim contains no truth and is absurd. There are abundant claims of this fallacious and hateful nature on the internet. The internet is an unregulated media which means it can be a safe-haven for all sorts of hate-mongers and aberrations; in this case their vile and unscholarly claims are directed at Muslims.
I am a student of comparative religion and it astounds me that anybody can make such sullying claims against any religion, through study you realise that all religions teach good basic morals and encourage good and just actions.

Before going into the specifics and illustrating why their claim is absurd I deem it important for us to touch on the fuel behind claims of this nature and the historicity of these claims in order to have a more mature understanding of the Islamophobe’s claims.

Claims of this ilk do tend to emanate from Western sources usually via people/organisations with evangelical Christian agendas. Staying on the Christian theme, modern anti-Muslim feelings are traced all the way back to the Crusades and Braibanti goes further in describing Dante’s Inferno as depicting Mohammed as “the figure that broke the hold of Christianity”(1, 2). Much of the resentment is fuelled by the religious rivalry between Muslims and Christians. In simple terms both parties are locked in a theological debate while lower elements (from both sides) have resorted to mud-slinging through propaganda.

Jack G. Shaheen (3) highlighted many examples of anti-Muslim feelings within American popular culture, of course, negative stereotyping within popular culture effectively serves as propaganda conditioning the ill-informed to believe and even propagate claims such as the one being discussed in this article.

Having said all that, a potent method of destroying anti-Muslim feeling is to debunk the distasteful claims being levelled at Islam on the internet. The claim of the Islamophobe; Islam allows rape.

To highlight that Islam prohibits rape, a prominent scholar of Islam is cited; Dr. Muzammil H. Siddiqi says:

“The relations between the spouses should be based on tranquillity, love and mercy. Allah says, "And among His Signs is this, that He created for you mates from among yourselves, that you may dwell in tranquillity with them, and He has put love and mercy between your (hearts): verily in that are Signs for those who reflect." (al-Rum 30:21)

Tranquillity (sukun), love (mawaddah) and mercy (rahmah): these are very important concepts in Islam. These three summarize the ideals of Islamic marriage. It is the duty of the husband and wife to see that they are a source of comfort and tranquillity for each other. They should do everything physically, emotionally and spiritually to make each other feel happy and comfortable. They must care for each other. They should not inflict any harm or injury, neither physically nor verbally, to each other. In order to increase the tranquillity and comfort in their relations and in their home, they should love each other and should have mercy and kindness for each other (5)

Of course rape is diametrically opposed to the idea of tranquillity, love and mercy; it is clear that rape is forbidden in Islam. Islamic Law also instructs us that rape is not allowed as it is deemed a punishable offence. It is clear that rape is not allowed in Islam, no religion allows rape and to imply differently would be an insult to humanity. The Islamophobe makes the claim but cannot back the claim up with evidence, in all scholarly fields; it is the duty of the claimant to back up his claim with evidence. The Islamophobe only brings forth mere conjecture and speculation, which is neither sophisticated nor deemed as being worthy evidence. Evidence, in this regard would be a clear quote from the Prophet or in the Quran; the Islamophobe has no such thing. I have brought up evidence (Quranic and Prophetic) that opposes the idea of rape while the Islamophobe brought mere speculation and hot air.

It appears as if the false claim being made against Islam says more about the Islamophobe than anything else; W.Montgomery Watt (a Western scholar of Islam) speaks about the sexually charged critique that critics of Islam level at Islam and he suggests that men often project their own faults onto others and criticize others for what is really a more serious flaw in themselves. (6) The theological debate between Muslims and Christians, as alluded to earlier, is being dominated by the Muslims; giving rise to lower elements (within the Christian camp) resorting to propaganda of this nature. Quite simply, the Muslims have won the theological debate and the aftermath is taking place now and is being characterised by smear campaigns from the Christian side. It would, of course, be myopic to suggest that this is all to do with theology as, currently, politics between the West and the Muslim World is at the forefront of news reports worldwide. It would be equally myopic and unjust not to extricate the majority of Christians from the lower elements of evangelical Christianity so I would like to state that the majority of Christians have nothing to do with and even despise the Christians that have been responsible for such distasteful claims against Islam. In fact, from my observations, it seems that militant-atheists are becoming more prominent distributors of false information against Islam.
