Winter Wine Wrapping

Today's project is a fun way to wrap a bottle of wine!

The wine box is from the Silhouette Store.  The cut file is called "Wine Bottle Gift Box" and is by Megan Hardy Designs (#50699).  I did not change the size, just cut it as is and it fits most standard wine bottles.  It cuts slots for ribbon and I ran some white ribbon through them to seal off the package.

I used "Winter Wonderland" for the tree and "When I Was a Kid" for the scalloped label on which I placed it.  The tree was cut at 5" and the label is 5 3/4"x3 1/4."  I turned off the aspect ratio to get that size for the label.  I ran the silver layer of the label through the Cuttlebug with the Diamond Tree embossing folder.  I added some glittery white brads to the corners of the label and adhered it to the box with foam tape.

The label is part of the box cut.  I added a snowflake I cut with the "Holly and Ivy" cartridge.  It was cut at 2 3/4" and adhered to the tag with foam tape.  I also added a silver gem brad.  The sentiment and "to," "from" are from stamps by My Craft Spot.  They both come from the White Christmas set.

To finish off the box I made a paper bow for it with the "3D Bows" digital cartridge.  It was cut at 8."

I made this for the following challenges:
BBTB2: Christmas tree
Fantabulous Cricut: Christmas project without red or green
My Sheri Crafts: Christmas tree
The Friday Mashup: weather inspired project with metal embellishment
Stuck on U Sketches: into the woods

Elegant Edges - Creation #7

I made a Christmas banner for my most recent creation using "Elegant Edges."

The base of my banner is from "Elegant Edges."  I used the image on page 69, both the oblong and shift-shadow feature.  I cut it at 5."  I used "Ribbons & Rosettes" for the rosettes, it is on page 66.  They were cut at 1 1/2" and I cut six parts for each rosette.  The letters are from "Storybook."  They were cut with both the shadow and regular features, using the same card stock for both layers, and they were cut at 2."  Finally, I used the digital cartridge "3-D Bows" for the bows at the top.  This is the first bow and just a single layer.  The bows were cut at a 4" length.  To hang the banner I ran some ivory colored ribbon through some holes I punched on each side of the banner pieces.  All the papers are from the Christmas Memories Stack by DCWV.

Perfect Sentiment: "Winter Wonderland"

Ready for another challenge Perfect Sentiments Challenge?  I hope so, because here it is:

"Winter Wonderland"
The challenge: create a card with a sentiment for winter
The twist: use a winter image or embellishment to give your card a winter feel

Here is my card for this challenge:
My card is 5 1/2"x4 1/4" and I used a shimmery blue cardstock for the card base.  I cut some white cardstock at 5 1/4"x4."  I then embossed the white cardstock with my Cuttlebug and the Swiss Dots folder.  I stamped my image using some Distress Embossing Powder by Tim Holtz and heat embossed with some dark blue embossing powder.  I trimmed it 1/8" wider than the stamped image and matted it with some shimmery blue cardstock cut 1/8" wider than the white cardstock.  I adhered it to the card with some foam tape.  I finished off the card with a bow I made using the 3D Bows digital cartridge.  It was cut at 1 1/2" using Cricut Craft Room.

Now head on over to The Perfect Sentiment, see what the rest of the Design Team has come up with, then link up your wintery card creation.  I can't wait to see what you create!
