Christmas Tags (Part 1)

Here are a few of the Christmas tags I have made this year.  I'm sure there will be more to come as well.  :)

I used a tag shape from the Cricut cartridge "Phrases."  The white background panel was stamped with snowflakes in a pale grey ink.  The stamp is from Jaded Blossom, the Holiday Splatters stamp set.

The dog is a cut file from SVG Cutting Files, called Winter Puppy.  I used a Peachy Keen stamp for the face.  It is part of the Happy-Go-Lucky Dog Face Assortment.  The sentiment is also from Jaded Blossom, the Season's Tweetings stamp set.  I finished it off with a bow at the top, tied in some green baker's twine.

For the back I used the Sweet Treats stamp set for the "to" and "from."  The paw is from the Kitty Kitty stamp set and the sentiment is from Dog-Gone Awesome.

The cat is also from SVG Cutting Files, it is called Winter Kitty.  I also used a Peachy Keen stamp for the face.  It is from the Here Kitty Kitty Face Assortment.  I used the same sentiment as for the dog tag and also tied a bow at the top, this time in red baker's twine.

For the back I used the same Sweet Treats stamp set for the "to" and "from."  I used another size paw print from Kitty Kitty stamp set for the paws.  The sentiment is also from the same stamp set.

The snowflake tag shape is from the Cricut cartridge "Tags, Bags, Boxes, & More 2."  The snowman and all his accessories were cut with Jaded Blossom dies, the Snowman Dies set.  I used the Snowman Faces (add-on) from Jaded Blossom for the face.  I added a little bling to the snowflake and used two different shades of blue baker's twine for the tie.

I used stamps from the Christmas Kindness stamp set for the "to" and "from."

Unicorns Galore!

Four more unicorn cards for you!

The cards are all 5 1/2"x 4 1/4" and made of dark grey card stock.  The colored mats are all cut using a die from the Card Mat Dies by Jaded Blossom.

The starburst shaped mat is from the "Phrases" Cricut cartridge, cut at 3 3/4."  The unicorn is from SVG Cutting Files, it is called Chibi Unicorn 2.  I added flocking powder to all the layers of hair, the popped up the two lightest layers.  I covered the horn in silver glitter, then covered it in glossy accents.  The hooves are colored with Wink of Stella, then covered in glossy accents.

The sentiment is from Jaded Blossom, the Unicorns & Glitter stamp set.  I then finished off the front of the card with a variety of sequins.

I used the Card Mat Dies to cut the mats for the inside of the card as well.  I then used two more stamps from Jaded Blossom for the sentiment.  The first part is from the Super Hero 2 set, and the second part is from the So Many Birthdays set.

Ice Cream Sundae

I have been on spring break this past week, and tomorrow is my last day before I go back to school.  That is why I have been able to do more crafting than usual.  And here is the card I made today:

The card is 5 1/2"x4 1/4" and is made from dark brown card stock.  The patterned card stock is cut at 5 1/4"x4."  The background mat is from the "Phrases" cartridge.  I cut it at about 5" in length, then turned it so that it would be vertical on my card.  The white layer is embossed with one of the folders from the Preserves Companion set of embossing folders.

The sentiment is from Scrappy Moms Stamps.  I stamped it in rich cocoa ink by Tsukineko before I embossed the mat.  It is from the Sweet Somethings set.  The ice cream sundae is from KaDoodle Bug Designs.  It is part of the Yummy Treats set.  I cut it at about 4."  I inked the edges of all the ice cream layers with different Distress Inks.  The pink was inked with picked raspberry, the cream colored was inked with antique linen, and the brown layer was inked with walnut stain.  I used a white gel pen to add some detail, then covered the cherry and ice cream within the dish with glossy accents.  I hope it made it seem like the ice cream is in the glass dish.  I adhered the image with foam tape.

I used the same label as I used on the front for my interior matting.  The sentiments are both from Jaded Blossom.  The upper sentiment is from the Lollipops Galore set and the bottom sentiment is from the Sweet Birthday Wishes set.

Snail Mail

My husband reminded me today that his mother's birthday is tomorrow and he had forgotten to have me make a card for her.  So, I took a study break and made this one:

The card is 5 1/2"x4 1/4 and made from a pink premade card base.  I cut some white card stock at 5 3/8"x4 1/8.  I then cut some pink floral patterned card stock with a die from Jaded Blossom.  It is part of the Card Mat Dies set.

The stamp shaped background is from the "Phrases" Cricut cartridge.  I cut it at 3 3/4" wide.  The snail is from the "Birthday Bash" Cricut cartridge.  It was cut at 3" wide.  I hid the features for the eyes and cheeks.  Instead, I used some pink chalk for the cheeks and a Peachy Keen stamp for the eyes.  It is from the Kawaii Face Assortment.  I then added a little detail to the eyes and cheeks with a white gel pen.  The sentiment is from Jaded Blossom.  It is from the Sweet Birthday Wishes set and stamped on a piece of pink card stock cut with another part of the Card Mat Dies set.

Easter Layout

There is an end cap at work that needs some inspiration.  Right now it has shelves of scrapbook storage boxes and some scrapbook albums.  The top shelf is currently empty and every time I walk by it I keep thinking that I should make something to fill that shelf.  Well, today I finally did!

I made a double layout that I will put in an extra scrapbook album and set it on the shelf to display.

Each page is 12"x12."  I used a green card stock for the base of the page, then cut some plaid paper at 11 1/2"x11 1/2" to create a fun background.  I then cut two strips of the same green card stock, at 3 1/2"x12" and some floral paper at 3 1/4"x12."  These were adhered near the top of the page.  The grass at the bottom of the page is 3 1/2"x12" and then punched with a Fiskars border punch.  The two larger photo mats are for 4"x6" photos.  The yellow layers are 4 1/8"x6 1/8" and the green layers are 4 1/4"x6 1/4."  The two smaller photo mats are for 3 1/2"x3 1/2" photos.  The yellow layers are 3 5/8"x3 5/8" and the green layers are 3 3/4"x3 3/4."

The page title was created using the "Phrases" cartridge.  It is on page 45 of the handbook, the phrase 2 feature.  I set the length to 6," so I don't remember how tall it is.  I adhered it with some foam tape.

The bunny, basket, and eggs all come from the "Create a Critter 2" cartridge.  The bunny is on page 42 and the basket and eggs are on page 40.  The basket is the accessory feature and the eggs are the icon feature.  The bunny is 4 1/2" tall, the basket is 6" tall, and the eggs were 2 1/2" tall.  I used Cricut Craft Room to hide all the contours on the eggs and just cut them plain from patterned paper.  I embossed the bottom part of the basket with my Cuttlebug and one of the Simply Charmed Companion folders.  I added glossy accents to the dark parts of the bunny and adhered it with foam tape.

The eggs here are about 3" tall for the two behind the grass and 2 1/4" tall for the smaller one in front.  They are again from "Create a Critter 2," on page 40 (icon feature).  The grass is also from "Create a Critter 2."  It is on page 42, the accessory feature.  I cut two larger ones at 2 1/2" and the smaller one at just over 2."  The smaller piece of grass and the pink egg were adhered with foam tape.

Perfect Sentiments: "Anything Goes with Christmas"

Who's ready for another Perfect Sentiments challenge?  I hope you are, because I know I am!  Here are the details of this week's challenge.
The challenge: include a Christmas sentiment on your project
The twist: create anything you want as long as it has a Christmas theme and sentiment
Here is what I created for this week's challenge:
I got a gold charger plate at work and decided to dress it up.  I used some white, red holographic, and green holographic vinyl to create the sentiment and images on the plate.  The sentiment is from the Phrases cartridge, cut at 3."  The holly are from A Quilted Christmas and cut at 2."  It is really pretty simple, but I absolutely love the look of that holographic vinyl.

Now it is your turn!  Head on over to The Perfect Sentiment, check out what everyone else has created for even more inspiration and link up your creation.  I can't wait to see what you create!

Christmas Lights

This card is 4 1/2"x6 1/4."  I used a dark green cardstock for the card base, then cut some white cardstock 1/8" smaller and some polka dotted paper at 4 1/4"x6."  I used Create a Critter for the string of lights.  I then gave them Peachy Keen faces and added some Stickles around the edges of the lights.  I adhered them to the card with foam adhesive.  I used Phrases for the sentiment and added red glitter to the word "Christmas."  I finished off the card with three white pearls int he top right corner.

I made this for the following challenges:
