Spellbinders Summer Spectacular

Summer has officially arrived and the Summer CHA show is not far away.  I won't be going this year since it falls right in the middle of the two weeks we will have our older son and daughter-in-law with us as they return from their year overseas.

One of the things I look forward to before each CHA show is the unveiling of the new Spellbinders products.  They have a fabulous group of designers who make very inspiring samples to show off the new and creative items that will soon be for sale.  There is a "blog frenzy" for a week or so before each new release with great prizes and a super grand prize.   The daily prizes are the dies revealed on each blog and if you faithfully follow and enter on every blog for the entire week, you are eligible for the Grand Prize - the entire Summer 2012  die line, a raspberry plate and the Grand Caliber machine.

Each day starting at 12:01 a.m. Eastern time, three more blogs will feature new products and you need to enter for each blog within 48 hours.

You can read all about it on the Spellbinder's blog starting with Day One HERE.

The rules for the Blog Frenzy can be found HERE.

I enter this contest every year and I haven't won yet - maybe this will be the year!  Good luck to all of you who enter.  I have already seen several things that I would love to own...

I have one more day with my Dad today and head back home tomorrow. I hope you have a wonderful weekend!

A Wonderful Trip!

We are back home, safe and sound.  The Cricut Cruise was a wonderful experience and I want to thank ProvoCraft, Creative Memories and all of the people who voted for my layout and made it possible for my husband and I to go on this trip.

We celebrated our 30th anniversary in January.  On the first formal night, the dining room staff brought us a special cake.  They even sang an Indonesian song to congratulate us.  The food was delicious and there was a great variety available all of the time.  However, we need to start watching our food intake and try to return to our slimmer sizes by summertime!

There were many photo opportunities with the Cricut.  This photo was taken on the incredibly windy bow of the ship as we pulled in to San Juan.

This was our "home away from home" for a week.  The ship we were on is considered a medium size with around 2,000 guests and nearly 1,000 crew members.

I took thousands of photos and I'll post more when I have a chance to finish editing them.  Of course I couldn't resist most of the flowers with the bold colors and bright blue sky.

The colors of the water and sky were amazing.  A few times we even caught the sun shining through the clouds.  We were lucky to  see a few near rainbows after the one small shower that we had.

Isn't this sand snowman adorable - that is, if you live in a warm place!  Unfortunately, the snow did not disappear while we were away, however, there is some grass showing around the edges of the driveway.  I have a "zillion" emails, messages and comments to catch up on so please be patient a bit longer if you are waiting to hear from me.

I can't wait to do some "show and tell" so you can see what the trip was like.  I hope that next year there will be another cruise and that more Cricut fans will be able to join in on the fun!

A very Happy Birthday to my sister Susan and to Mandy at Scrappy-Go-Lucky - there will be cards...

Your Story and Cricut Design Challenge

Would you like to win a fully loaded Gypsy?  Do you have a Cricut and a Your Story machine?  You should enter a project in the Cricut/Your Story Design Challenge.

The Grand Prize is worth $6,000.  Two runners up will win 10 cartridges of their choice.  The deadline is 6:00 p.m. Mountain Standard Time on November 29, 2009.

Here is a LINK to the contest information.  You can see a sample project and read the rules - and then get creative!  Good luck to everyone who enters.

We have been in six states today!  The driving was good and it is great to be here with all of my siblings and my Dad.  Tomorrow is the official Birthday Dinner - we had a nice meal here at Dad's place tonight.  One of my Dad's friends offered to take a family photo after dinner so here we are - still in our travel clothes but having a great time!

(the photo at the top is a sneak peek at something coming soon - you'll be surprised to find out how I made it!)
