Good morning!
Today is the start of a new challenge her at The Outlawz Challenge and is replacing the Crash your Stash Challenge.

This new challenge discourages the use of any physical stamps or digital images. Exceptions will be made for digital paper and stamped or digital sentiments

This is a themed challenge and you are welcome to submit cards, journal pages, scrapbook pages or any papercraft project that meets the criteria of the challenge which can be found HERE. Make sure you are following us so that you know when the new challenge is starting!

This challenge has no sponsors but badges for top 3 and honorable mention will be announced at the beginning of each new challenge

Our theme this month is Celebrating the New Year!

For my card I could not find my firework dies so I had to think of something and remember this set of dies from Creative Expressions which I would you look awesome as bursting fireworks! I also thought I had a nice blue background paper with stars but could not locate that either so decided to grab my star stencil to create a nice little background. Over all I'm really happy how this card turned out!

Die for sentiment is unknown

DS4J PFC: New Year Streamers

Hope and faith flower from the cheerful seeds of the old year to the sprouting garden of the new year's dawn. ~Terri Guillemets, "Annuals," 2004

Good morning!
Sadly news has come about that DigiStamps4Joy will be closing up shop at the end of the month. Margy Kieser is such an amazing and generous lady and it saddens me that she has found herself in this position … too many people think that it’s okay to share images with friends and on Pinterest.
This effects the artists who create all these lovely images and DigiStamps4Joy appears to another one brought down by the inconsideration of others.

This is her last Progressive freebie challenge and we were given the image “New Year streamers”. I had fun creating this card using metallic papers and inks.

Supplies
Image printed on Stampin Up! Whisper White card stock
Artiste gel pens in gold & silver
Card stock for base from The Paper Studio
Cra-z-art glitter pends
Fun Stampers Journey Sparkle Silk and Silver card candy
Gold and silver metallic card stock from my stash
Sketch: Sunday sketch & Stamp

You can still play along until the end of the month … so if interested check out the facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/groups/636935063114458/

Since her shop is closing, she is offering a 50% discount on all images. Please visit her shop! Lots of wonderful images to be found!

Let's start the new year right ...

Be at War with your Vices, at Peace with your Neighbors, and let every New-Year find you a better Man. ~Quoted in Benjamin Franklin's 1755 Poor Richard's Almanack, December [Thanks, Quote Investigator! —tεᖇᖇ¡·g]

Good morning!
A new Sunday Song & Rhyme challenge is in process at The Outlawz Challenges. Each week we will give you a theme based on a song or a rhyme along with a bit of the lyrics/lines with which to take inspiration from to create a card/project! You can also look on-line to get more information about the Song/Rhyme.

Our sponsor this month is our very own Anne Fenton with a prize of 3 pre-selected digital stamps

This week’s inspiration comes from a rhyme/song selected by Me:
One minute to midnight
One minute to go
One minute to say good-bye
Before we say hello
Let's start the new year right
Twelve o'clock tonight
When they dim the light
Let's begin
Kissing the old year out
Kissing the new year in
Let's watch the old year die
With a fond good-bye
And our hopes as high
As a kite
How can our love go wrong if
We start the new year right?
Let's watch the old year die
With a fond good-bye
And our hopes as high
As a kite
How can our love go wrong if
We start the new year right?
Songwriters: Irving Berlin

The Outlawz: Happy New Year Fireworks!

No one ever regarded the First of January with indifference. It is that from which all date their time, and count upon what is left. It is the nativity of our common Adam. ~Charles Lamb

Good morning!
Christmas is over. I am sad.
I will miss the carols and the bright lights and the pretty ornaments.

But the New year is right around the corner and brings with it the anticipation of new beginnings.
Nothing wrong with that. We all need that start point at some time in our lives.

2015 is going to be another busy year for us, but I guess I would not want it any other way.

Our kids are grown and they are embarking on their own life adventures, leaving us to plan our future days as empty nesters, which include talk of downsizing our home and general lifestyle.

On personal levels, My husband is finishing up classes he needs to start nursing school and I have plans for Through The Craft Room Door that I hope takes the Challenge Blog and the Magazine to the next level.

What about you? Are your resolutions lined up for the kick off on January 1st, 2015?

This is the last week of 2014 and the last CAS of the year as well. Cheri wants to send it off in style with fireworks on our CAS cards and projects this week over at the Outlawz!

So here is mine.

I created the background by tapping my ink ad all over the EF before running through my Big Kick. This is not the results I was looking for, but I was using a new ink and for some reason, even with the whole EF covered, not all the ink came off. (Since I do this with other inks and never have a issue, I have to assume it was the ink and not my machine).
Either way, I dolike the way it came out and went with it.

Size is 5 x 7
SUPPLIES
Card stock: The Paper Studio & Stampin Up!
Embossing folder: "Fireworks" by Darice
Ink; Pallet
Sentiment: "Let's Toast" from The Angel Company
Rhinestones: Recollections
Edge punch: Martha Stewart
Glitter: My Stash
Glittery DP: My Scrap Bin

"Ringing" in the New Year

I have always thought of Christmas time, when it has come round, as a good time; a kind, forgiving, charitable time; the only time I know of, in the long calendar of the year, when men and women seem by one consent to open their shut-up hearts freely, and to think of people below them as if they really were fellow passengers to the grave, and not another race of creatures bound on other journeys.  ~Charles Dickens

Good Morning Friends
Another joyous day! Can you believe that it is only 3 more days until Christmas! Where is the time going????

It's time for another Outlawz CAS Challenge and this time we are "Ringing" in the New Year with circles!

SUPPLIES: Stampin Up! (Card stock, rhinestones & Ink), The Angel Company (Sentiment), Bazzill (card stock for rings), Sizzix (Circle Dies)

Come play along with us and "Ring in the New Year" with us CAS style!
