Holiday Sparkles ...

Christmas is not as much about opening our presents as opening our hearts. ~J. L. W. Brooks, 2007

Good morning!
I am starting to use up old design papers that I have had laying around for eons … so I made a set of Christmas cards using a one sheet wonder from verve and some very old Stamping Up! design papers.

I know that the sentiment I used was bought at the same time I bought the design paper because they worked together but I don’t remember the actual name of the paper.

Supplies (A2)
  • Cardstock from The Paper Studio
  • Design paper from Stampin Up!
  • Ink from Stampin Up! & Versafine Claire
  • Sentiments from Stampin Up! (Sparkling Season and unknown set)
  • Sequins from my stash
  • Sketch from Verve, September08 OSW Challenge
  • Studio G Glitter Glue

Cards for Little Hearts Winter Card Drive: OSW cards

It is the life of the crystal, the architect of the flake, the fire of the frost, the soul of the sunbeam. This crisp winter air is full of it. ~John Burroughs, "Winter Sunshine"

Hello! Our Winter card drive at Cards for Little Hearts (HERE) is winding down. Cards for Little Hearts is a global card drive, comprised of crafters dedicated to bringing smiles, hope and encouragement to as many children with congenital heart disease as possible by providing heart center staff with handmade cards that are given to patients during their hospitalization.

The current card drive is running October 1st - November 1st with Winter-Themed (non-religious) "Thinking of You" cards. Please read the guideline page located on the Cards for Little Hearts' website for important guidelines prior to making and sending in your cards. You can also find additional helpful resources on the FAQs page and a Sentiments List. There is also a Gallery page if you need some inspiration. If you have any questions about the guidelines or the card drive itself, please contact Christina Hor directly (HERE), founder of Cards for Little Hearts.

12 x 12 One Sheet Wonder cards

Flowers... are a proud assertion that a ray of beauty out values all the utilities of the world.
~Ralph Waldo Emerson, 1844

Good morning
I have been wanting to try some OSW cards for a while and recently found an old layout that I'd saved at some point in my stuff when cleaning out a cabinet in my craft room.

This one uses a 12 x 12 sheet of cardstock and makes up to 15 cards which would be awesome for holiday card making ... anyway, I decided to try it out and made a combination of Birthday and Thank you cards since I always need both.

The layout I used is at the bottom of this post along with the recommended card maps. I did not follow the layouts precisely but I'm quite happy with what I accomplished with the 12 x 12 card stock and thought I would share them.

All of the cards are 4.25 x 5.50
The 12 x 12 design paper used is called Posie Glitter Print from DCWV
The card stock for the bases is from The Paper Studio
Other card stock used is from Stampin Up, American Crafts and Bazzill,
The ink used is from Stampin Up!
Anything specific to that card will be listed above it.
