Wills

CH says, KAYA!

I may have a lot of celebrity crushes but only one guy has been #1 ever since -- Prince William. Too bad there's news that he might get married next year! I super admire him, not only for his looks (that's a big factor though haha!) but also for his heart, how he is trying to continue what his mother, Princess Diana started.

He just seems so real and grounded and maybe trying to be normal (although he never will be). Sayang, imagine, yung girlfriend niya, classmate lang niya sa college. CLASSMATE! Wala lang. Maybe if I went to St. Andrews and just so happened to be seatmates with him I'd be somewhere else now..

Joke! :) A girl can dream!

Thanks for this challenge Mia! I finally got to do a page about Wills :)

Journaling:
Prince William. Where do I even begin.

What I like most about Prince William is how much he reminds me (and maybe everyone) of Princess Diana -- how he reflects her compassion for the poor, his charisma, and I might say, he did inherit her good looks! I also love the fact that he seems so real -- on his 21st birthday, he requested that people call him "just William" instead of using all the big fancy titles. He still sports that college boy look -- tall, nice shoulders and a smile to die for (nevermind the fact
that he's getting bald!)

People are giving up on you Wills, what with your possible marriage this year and your receeding hairline! They can say what they want to say -- even when you get old and become King (and probably begin to look more like Prince Charles in the process), I'll still be fangirling over your paparazzi shots!!

About me:
CH is currently finishing up work and will soon be unemployed! I'm going to be enrolling in a magazine design diploma course in hopes of getting into the magazine industry because it's really what I've been wanting to do. I love scrapbooking mainly because it's a mixture of all the things I love the most -- photography, paper and history. Sometimes I see layouts in my head, but usually a great photo or a funny memory inspires me to scrap. My scrap table is STILL my bedroom floor, but I'm trying to find ways to reorganize my space (scraproom!). I'm over at http://ch.vox.com.

3 Wishes for 2008

CH says, KAYA!

Finally finished this! It was sitting on my floor for a while unfinished. It was fun scrapping again! Should find the time to do it more often.

Journaling:
My three wishes for 2008:
1. to organize my room into a full-blown scraproom!
2. to study graphic design
3. to travel

... and I think I'm one lucky duck because I can make it all happen!

----

I just had to use that stamp. Hehe! Ang cute. While I was thinking about my wishes I couldn't help but realize that in a way I was really lucky to be able to make them happen. It won't be easy, but it's possible! Impossible is nothing! If I put my mind into it I know I can get these things done :)

Go Ateneo!

CH says, KAYA!

I remember writing such heartfelt journaling about this game. Seeing those grown men crying made me cry, too. I'm not a die hard Ateneo basketball fan, but I have to admit I have a soft spot for the team because Chris, a good friend of mine is part of it. That, and I can't help but ooze with school pride every time I watch a game. Anyway, I lost the sheet of paper where I wrote my journaling a year ago...so until I can remember what I wrote, I'll leave it blank first. Maybe I'll rewrite it after another Ateneo game. Might ruin it kasi kung pinilit ko.

Journaling:
To be journalled, if that makes sense. But I posted a part of our alma mater song --

Through the joys and tears
through the laughing years
We sing our battle song
Win or Lose
It's the school we choose
This is the place where we belong

Ephemera:
UAAP ticket; Blue Eagle logo is cut from a paperbag from American Eagle Outfitters

Materials Used:
Cardstock - DCWV
Patterned paper - 7Gypsies, Chatterbox, Scenic Route
Transparency - Hambly
Letter/#1 stickers - American Crafts
Stamp - 7Gypsies
Tab - Autumn Leaves
Font - P22 Garamouche
Tab punch - McGill
Others - "One Big Fight" printed out from the computer, date stamp, photo taken from the January 2007 issue of the Loyola Schools Bulletin (Photo by Alyson Yap)

Technique:
I was supposed to pass this layout for the stamp challenge but I wasn't able to create it in time. Good thing that this challenge came along though! Perfect for the theme. Hehe! :) I remember making this page and thought that I needed a Blue Eagle logo to represent our basketball team.. then out of the corner of my eye I saw a paper bag and I ended up cutting it up! It was also a fun coincidence that the old UAAP ticket (ADMU-UST, Oct.2, 2006) was just sitting on my dresser because I was too lazy to fix the clutter up. Instant ephemera and a remembrance of that championship game (which we lost!).

I guess the photo counts as ephemera too, since it was cut out of a school publication. Such a great picture that captured what I was feeling that day.

The "One Big Fight" letters were printed out from the computer -- I cheated! I printed out Heidi Swapp stickers. As soon as I find the real ones, I'll replace them. I thought they were perfect for the layout but didn't have any.. this was my way to improvise.

About ME:
CH. Fresh grad who finally has time to scrap (or so she thinks). I love chipboard and I use it on almost all my layouts! I have a tendency to buy alphabets (stickers, chipboard, foam, stamps, whatnot). I also super love stamps. I love scrapbooking mainly because it's a mixture of all the things I love the most -- photography, paper and history. Sometimes I see layouts in my head, but usually a great photo or a funny memory inspires me to scrap. My scrap table is STILL my bedroom floor, but I'm trying to find ways to reorganize my space. Finally put up a scrapbooking blog -- http://scrapb0oker.livejournal.com. Thanks for looking!

Scrapbook Book Love

CH says, KAYA!

Finally trying to get out of my scrapbooking rut.

Nothing makes me happier than new scrapbook idea books. I super love looking at layouts. I think these scrapbook books are more for me to stare at pretty scrapbook pages than to actually scraplift them or be inspired to create.

Journaling Reads:
My scrapbook idea books never fail to put a huge smile on my face. The colors, artistic layouts and bright photographs only make me love this wonderful hobby more!

Materials Used:
Star brushes - downloaded from the internet; Fonts: CK Elsie, Courier New

Techniques Used:
Digital layout made in Photoshop CS2. Made the heart using the selection tool - took me quite a while.

About ME:
Ch. Fresh grad, history major. I've been scrapbooking since 7th grade (on and off, I say. Either school gets in the way, or I'm uninspired). Most of my earlier scrapbooks were gifts for friends and family. I love scrapbooking mainly because it's a mixture of all the things I love the most -- photography, paper and history. Sometimes I see layouts in my head, but usually a great photo or a funny memory inspires me to scrap. My scrap table is my bedroom floor, much to my mother's dismay. I love the look of paper scrapbooks but end up doing digital pages when I get lazy to head off to have photos developed. I'm not really too keen on the usual scrapbook techniques, my style is more just photos and paper and some random memory I want to remember forever. I'm really glad to have found a great scrapbooking community locally -- finally, people who understand me.
