Techniques: Detailed cutting and paper tearing

Singapore Trip

Rowee says, KAYA!

During my early times in scrapping and really scarce of stamp on my supply, I usually used things that I see around. I always use natural materials that I see outside my house or in my garden. In this LO I used leaves of my guava tree as my non-stop item. It really looks so natural. Now, I'm collecting stamps that I love. I even have Magnolia stamps from UK (won over at blogcandies).

Journaling:
It's my second visit in Singapore but it feels like it's my first. I am really mesmerized by cleanliness, beauty and orderliness of the country. It's truly an amazing Singapore Trip.

Materials:
Grant Archival textured paper(neutral), Old World Message Card, Theresa Collins(travelogue), Shabby chic circle tags, Karen Foster Squishies, thickers, letter stamp, Prima flower, buttons, AAS Stamp (camera)

Technique:
Stamping, Heat embossing, Cropping

Nurture

Rowee says, KAYA!

I'm always been a traditional scrapper and I know a little about digital scrapbooking but never once made digiscrapbook pages. And now, there's hybrid scrapbooking! I didn't realized that anything that's a product of using your computer like printing your journals or using your word art and print your title and using some brushes in Photoshop would mean hybrid!! I used my dependable computer and printer almost in all my pages.

For this LO, I used the picture of my DD and I at Botanical Garden in Singapore. I printed my journaling in vellum, tore and distress it using blue versa color ink. I also print ornaments in white CS (got it from digital freebies). Printed a quote sign in acetate also from digital freebies.

Journaling:
The heart knows no greater joy than to give and to receive the gift of LOVE.

Materials:
K and CO(amy butler designs), Daisy D's, Making memories (ledger book), AAS swirl CB, Pink paislee, ( fashion script) brads and eyelets, ribbons, blue yarn
Digital elements: Lucida Font for my journaling (printed on vellum), Ornaments and Quote sign from digital Scrapbook freebies

About ME:
I'm a simple and lovingmom.

I Want To Grow Old With You

Rowee says, KAYA!

Remember the movie “The Wedding Singer” starring Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore? I got my Title from that movie. I fell in-love with the song of Adam. Some lines in the song are so typical for a couple should do in their relationship to make them even more loving and last forever.

Journaling:
I wanna make you smile
Whenever you're sad
Carry you around when your arthritis is bad
All i wanna do, is grow old with you

I'll get you medicine when your tummy aches
Build you a fire if the furnace breaks
So, it could be so nice growing old with you

I'll miss you
Kiss you
Give you my coat when you are cold
Need you
Feed you
Even let you hold the remote control

So let me do the dishes in our kitchen sink
Put you to bed when you've had too much to drink
Oh I could be the man that grows old with you
I wanna grow old with you

Materials Used:
Papers: KandCo, My minds Eye, BG
Embelishments: AAS Cb, buttons, garlands, alpha stickers
Misc: Newspaper, Transparency, onionskin paper

Techniques:
Distressing, embossing using big shot, sewing, inking

Pamana ni Lola

Rowee says, KAYA!

Happy to know that we have this wooden antique statue in the house. We call it the Twins. Here’s my take.

Lola gave us this twin wooden statue last 4 years ago. She told us that she brought them in Bicol from a souvenir shop when she was in her early age. Our Lola is still with us till now, she’s 94 years old now and most probably this statue is 60 older. We promise that we will keep it and will take good care of it because they are Pamana ni Lola.

Process:
I painted the door hangers with gold Acrylic paint. Put PPS as matting for the picture. Glued the garlands and put Christmas ribbon around at the bottom part.
