My 25th Birthday

Diane says, KAYA!

The last time I made a two pages is last year I guess. This is a hard one for me. I am not a two pager person nor a multi photo scrapper. So Becky Higgins' Sketches is a great help to me. I am glad to scrap a two pager again. I guess the next one will be a year after again. hihihihi!

Journaling:
August 31, 2008 is the day I turned 25. I have no plans of celebrating, but mom cooked some foods so I just invited my cousins. I enjoyed my special day so much. A little celebration with relatives and family. A day of celebrating another year and a day of happiness with my love ones. I am thankful to God that he made my day fun.

Materials:
DCWV Cardstock, Prima Flowers, button, Pebeo metal paint, Sakura Pen, AC Thickers, Heidi Swapp Letters, Unknown Stickers.

About ME:
I am Diane, 25 years old from Bicol, Philippines. I am happily married to Jun for 4 years going 5 this November 29th. Blessed with an angel up in heaven named Huey Dhale. He is my inspiration to scrap. I make scrapbooks because of him and I want to continue scrapping for him. I am a paper and digital scrapbooker. I am also a proud owner of Nikon D80 and I am still learning how to use it. I hope to scrap more beautiful photos this time. My Faves at 25

Diane says, KAYA!

Distressing is my fave technique right now. I love paper tearing and inking. I inked the edges of the LO with Tim Holtz distress ink and then I used the Heidi Swapp distresser to make it like an old paper. I also teared a circle shape to the pp and then crumpled it and then layered it to make a flower.

Thanks Marj for this challenge! This LO is another AAM page of mine. I am compiling pages for my AAM Album.

At The Beginning

Diane says, KAYA!

Negative space is what I really want to do. I am an embellishment lover and I tend to put a lot of it on my pages. And negative space will de-clutter my pages I think. hihihih! So this is really an accomplishment to me. Making a less embellish page. Less nga ba? Thanks again Marj for this FUN challenge!

This page is for my new found friend Melissa and his boyfriend Jeff. I love her to bits so I made this page for her. And I also had it framed and will give this to her this evening. We will have dinner with Jun and his boyfriend Jeff. Double date ba ito? ahhahaha! I need to post this after 5:30pm, when she is home already so that she won't see this. I want to surprise her. Btw, the title is their theme song, At The Beginning by Richard Marx and Donna Lewis. I also love this song.

Repeat

Diane says, KAYA!

Whew... I made it.

I started this LO last November 6 but never got to finish it until this afternoon. I thought I won't be able to submit today but here it is. This LO is inspired by Nisa Fiin's LO in We Dare You book. I badly need to make a LO like hers because most of the time I am depressed and I self pity a lot. I need to frame this LO and hang on our room so that I have a reminder that life is beautiful to spend self pity-ing right? Always think positive, negative thinking makes you old and ugly.

Sadness Is Self Inflicted

Diane says, KAYA!

This is really a great challenge Marix! I am happy to use what I purchased last Idol Finals. I love the bracket paper from Jenni Bowlin and this is the perfect time to use it! Thanks Marix for this great challenge and yummy prize!

I scrapped my picture that reminds me that Sadness is self inflicted. So I to choose to be happy always because it makes me beautiful each day! :-)

Sadness is self inflicted.

You need not to bother too much about every crappy, shitty occurrences around you.
But then again, you tend to get yourself involved.
Happiness is self induced just the same.
As they say, its just a matter of perspective.

So while you still have the chance to shape your days mood, choose: would you rather be sad or happy?

Life is good.

Life is bad.

You decide.

Good Bye

Diane says, KAYA!

What a great Challenge! Thanks Tin! I love the sketch! Anyways, this is a hard one for me again. I was thinking of making a LO about Huey but I made the Letting Go LO last last month I think. And I thought my feelings of the leaving of my niece and nephew on the 14th to Kuwait is perfect for this challenge. I am again losing another child of mine. They were like my kids already. But I have to let them go. And look forward for their vacation here or our vacation in Kuwait... hmmm sounds fun! LOL!

So here is my entry for KAYA 15. I hope you all like it!

Journaling:
Alyssa Maree and Danniell Vibar, my two loving niece and nephew. Treated as my own child. Loved and envied by many. We played a lot on the backyard, watched thomas and friends on Cartoon Network and DVD’s, Eat so many hotdogs, cried for being stubborn, scolded so many times, laugh together with some silly things, and went to the Mall together to buy milk and diapers. I enjoyed a lot being with you two for 10 months. I will surely miss those moments that we are together. My dear lilo and Liit continue being the source of happiness to everyone, never disappoint your parents and always obey them. Be good OK?

I can’t believe its been 10 months since you two arrived here in Bicol. Time flies really fast. And now you two will leave us already and go back to Kuwait and be with your parents. It is SAD but you need your parents more than us and they need you too. Goodbye my dear Lilo and Liit. We will miss you so much! We will see each other again very very soon. Love you!

Yummy Buko

Diane says, KAYA!

This challenge is so much fun Jenn! Thanks! I had fun creating this Buko LO of mine. I smile whenever I see this photo so I have to scrap it.

Journaling:
I feel summer when I look at these photos. Buko is one of my favorite summer food. I can eat a lot of those if possible. I love how it refreshes me and how yummy it is. This photo was taken last March 30, 2008. We visited our nanny’s house to celebrate her birthday and she served us with a lot of buko. I love going to their place. I am sure we will be back for some more this year. I can’t wait!

Let Go

Diane says, KAYA!

This is the hardest challenge that I made for the KAYA challenge. Lagot si Nina sa akin kapag naka luwas ako ng Manila kasi pina iyak nya ako sa paggawa ng LO na ito. :) But coming up to this LO made me realize that it is healthy to be feel this. It is healthy to cry. I also realize that there are a lot of people who still loves me. Specially Jun. And thanks to my scrapbook friends I am slowly letting my feelings out and shared via scrapbooking. I am so happy to belong on this group. Thanks Nina my dear friend for this challenge! I miss you!

Symbol: White and Blue Balloons. I chose the photo from the burial of my son which we let go of the blue and white balloons. Because it symbolizes on how will I let go of the feeling I am keeping inside my heart. It is very hard to let go of a simple flying balloon on that day and that day I think is the same as everyday for me -hard to let go but I need to.

Journaling:
I am not ok right now. You may see a lot of happy posts and pictures of me smiling and laughing on my blogs but you only see the physical side of me. The wound is not completely healed and I think won't be completely healed. And it hurts me a lot. I miss my little darling so much! I still cry every night with out my husband noticing it. Yes I am strong but I just keep my soft side. I hate crying. I hate other people see
me cry. I hate being weak. And this is also what I hate about me. Not letting out what I really feel. The guilt is still here in my heart. The blaming, the scenes in the
hospital, the face of Huey inside the coffin, the crying people surrounding me, the burial and that hurts me a lot. How am I going to let go of this? God help me! 10-03-07

Diane says, KAYA!

I am really lucky to be on Danielle's Creative Team. She makes beautiful digital kits. If you have time you can check out her Oscraps store here. Thank you so much Danielle for letting us use your kit.

I made this LO for my niece. She is so cute in those shades. Her mom is so lucky to have a beautiful girl like her.

Now let me see what you can also come up with Danielle's kit. Let us all impress her how talented Pinay's are. Good Luck!

3 Wishes

Diane says, KAYA!

It's been a while since I uploaded my entry here. I am so sorry. I am so busy last holiday and right now I am not yet finished cleaning our house because of the reunion party held there. So She kept on bugging me about me owing her a LO for KAYA Challenge this month (hihihihih!) so I made a digital first. I will try to do my paper LO for this challenge. My scrap area is so messy right now and I can't create a LO in a messy environment. I will try to clean it first and do a paper LO for this challenge.

This is my 3 wishes LO and I hope that it will come true by the end of the year. I had FUN doing this LO. Thanks for the Challenge She!

U & Me

Diane says, KAYA!

My goodness I made this LO when I saw the email of my dear friend Lee at 6pm telling me that she is still waiting for my LO to be posted here. I finished doing this at 7:45pm! Photo finish indeed! So here is my digital LO featuring my sister and her shitzu doggy named Weet. I love these pictures so much because they are so cute together. I guess Weet missed my sister so much since she was left here at my parents house. My sister can no longer take care of Weet because her thesis is taking much of her time. Ms. Photogenic

Diane says, KAYA!

I envy my sister for being Ms. Photogenic in every picture she is in. I admire how she professionally poses in pictures. Me? I sometimes look okay in pictures but not most of the time. I have a beautiful angle my husband says. But I cannot pose like that all the time! I don't even know how will I pose beautifully! LOL! Pictures are treasures right? So we must be beautiful in them. And pictures are the most important thing in scrapbooking. We scrapbook because of these. We want to preserve them. This LO is for my sister whom I am proud of. She is beautiful inside and out.
