Here’s my entry for the KAYA Pearl Challenge. I got interested in joining since I saw my mother having fun doing her entry and since I also have some artsy side, I said to myself, why not give it a try. The concept is based on June being a nationalistic month as we celebrated the 111th anniversary of our Philippine Independence last June 12, 2009. I then decided to showcase in here my Filipiniana graduation photo (taken last February 10, 2009) and one of my poems entitled: Pahina ng Saya (originally written last June 3, 2007)
so here it goes….
Journaling:Pahina ng saya
sa buhay na puno ng pangyayari
mga nagaganap, di mawari
panahon ng kasiyahan
naaalala twing sumasapit ang kalungkutan
'yan ang napapansin ko
sa isang kaibigan ko
isang makatang filipina
na buhay nasa bawat pahina
ng kaibigan niyang kuwaderno't
nasusulat ng kanyang lapis
na pinagbabahagian niya kanyang saya't hinagpis
kasama niya itong madalas
marami naring kalungkutan dito'y nailabas
kelan kaya kaligayahan niya matutuklas
nawa ito'y nasa nalalapit na bukas
nang maibahagi niya rin sa kanyang kaibigang kwaderno kung gaano siya kasaya
at kaibigan ko'y makita ko ring maligaya

Pen: Pilot ballpen
TECHNIQUE USED: Paper cutting
