It's a Suthern Thang!

Mia says, KAYA!

Ok so a random fact about me, my friends in the US like to call me a transplanted Southern girl coz I love all things from the Southern US. I can speak with a southern twang at will. I love anything from country music, red velvet cake, southern fried chicken and of course those Southern gentlemen! So it's no wonder I have a huge thing for Josh Lucas and Matthew McConaughey, two of the most scrumptious Southern men around!

Journaling:
Matthew McConaughey & Josh Lucas. Those eyes, that smile, a genteel charm & that, oh so harmonious twang. It's gotta be a suthern thang!

Blings:
Bazzill Bling cardstock, Doodlebug Jewels, Heidi Swapp Bling Cherries, Martha Stewart Glitter, Glitz Designs Frosting, Prima Say it in Crystals

Materials:
Cardstock (Bazzill), Patterned Paper (Making Memories, Daisy Ds, Collage Press), Journaling paper (Making Memories), Stickers (Fontwerks, Making Memories, Prima), Alpha stickers (American Crafts), Rubons (Jenni Bowlin), Bingo Card (Jenni Bowlin), Chipboard (Making Memories), Glitter (Martha Stewart), Brad (Making Memories), Bling (Doodlebug, Heidi Swapp, Glitz Designs, Prima), Felt (Making Memories), Pen (EK Success), Adhesive (3M, Tombow)

About Me:
I'm Mia and I'm a bling and glitter addict! LOL! I love scrapbooking so much that I'm addicted to it. I spend most of my days and nights thinking about it and also surfing the net for scrappy goodnes! I love my hobby and can't imagine life without it now. I've always been a visual person and I'm someone who can identify a piece of patterned paper or embellishment not only by manufacturer but also the name of the line. Can you say crazy??? Yes but I wouldn't have it any other way! LOL! So it's all good!

3 Wishes

Mia says, Kaya!

Finally! Yahoo I was able to do a LO for the Kaya challenge! I know it's been a while but hey at least I made it this time huh? Had a blast doing this LO! Hope you enjoy it!

Here's the journaling pulled out:

Materials: Cardstock: Bazzill Basics, KI Memories; Patterned Paper: American Crafts, Hambly Screen Prints, Love Elsie, Sassafras Lass; Journaling paper: Knock Knock Note to Self; Alphabet sticker: American Crafts; Rubon: Hambly Screen Prints; Stamp: KI Memories; Metal clips: Making Memories; Glitter Glue: Ranger Stickles; Pen: American Crafts, Zig Millenium; Ink: Colorbox; writing paper; buttons

I love the sheet that I used to journal on since it was perfect for this page with the title of the sheet being "Note to Self" since this is really about me and what I want to say to myself. The sheet is fun in that it has boxes that you can check off depending on what you are thinking at the moment or how important what you want to say is. The boxes I checked were: Urgent, Requires Follow-up, Don't Forget, Brilliant Idea, Just a Thought.

2007 is over, it's now 2008. Another year is over and a new one has just begun. There are so many things I would like to do or have happen this year, all by the time that I'm 30. Yes, I'm gonna be 30 this year. ACK! Well, instead of rambling on and on, here are my three wishes for 2008:
1) To lie a healthier and more active lifestyle, which in turn would help me loose weight, something which I really need to do.
2) Scrapbook wise, I would love to be able to scrap without abandon, without worrying that I'm making the perfect page. Just do what I love and be proud of it and don't be afraid.
3) Lastly, to be more calm and mellow in life when things don't go my way. Don't let anger get the better of you!

Techniques Used: Layering, Inking, Doodling, Hand cutting, Stamping

About ME:
I'm Mia, an almost 30 scrapbooker who discovered this life altering hobby by coincidence in the end of 2006. I began scrapping seriously though since March of '07. I've since become addicted to it. I guess you could call me the resident scrap shopaholic since I've been combining 2 of my favorite things scrapbooking and shopping in one. You need a product or patterned paper identified then I'm your girl! I've memorized practically all the designs that are out there. I know scary but hey I have a pretty photographic memory. Watch out for my monthly Cool Finds articles at Scrapbytes.

About ME:
I'm Mia, 28 years old. I used to study interior design and architecture so I guess it was very normal for me to fall in love with scrapbooking. I was introduced to scrapbooking by my friend Anna about 10 months ago and dove head first. I'm a certified scrapaholic. Ask any of the girls at the EBs and they can testify to this. Oh and I recently got a die cutting machine! More gastos hahaha! Since I've only been scrapping for this short period of time, I consider myself a newbie. I'm mostly a paper scrapper but I've began dabbling into doing hybrid. Digi scrapping sounds cool but I prefer the look and feel of paper scrapping anyday, which is why hybrid is as far as I will go into the digi scrapping world.
