Most Outstanding Student

Tna says, KAYA!

I have always appreciated scrap challenges even when I don't always get to submit my layouts. Having a direction/theme/motif for a page is one hard task taken off your shoulders and I do not regret committing myself to these challenges even when it means taking some time off my laundry and housecleaning days (which always results to a higher pile of clothes and a dirtier house to clean, hihi). :-D And I enjoyed this week's challenge in particular 'cause I just like distressed looks in my pages.
Journaling:
it was your first experience of school...no daycare...no summer classes...we only had blue's clues, Dora and little Einstein for your training but you sailed through kindergarten with flying colors...top of your class...amazing for a first timer...and you made us very proud...Joaquin Paolo P. Gift

Tna says, KAYA!

I don't know why I simply cannot get my hands off of those kraft cardstocks. This page was sitting on my table, originally on a black background cardstock, but I couldn't get myself to put it all together. It was when I replaced the background with a kraft cardstock that my hands came to life.

Journaling:
you are the greatest gift

Materials Used:
Kraft & black cardstock;PPs: Fancypants, AAS; felt; ribbons; rikrak; AC Thickers giggles; Studio G & Inque Boutique stamps; Pebbles Inc. chalks; Versacraft white; buttons; twine; Dymo; gems

Techniques Used:
A bit of distressing, a bit of stamping, a bit of chalking, a bit of inking and mostly paper/felt cutting.

About ME:
am kristina. tna to many. mom to 6-year-old-joaquin and partner to ruben. my boys are often my scrapping subjects. simple everyday activities surely becomes interesting as long as these boys are together. they are indeed my joy. i have always been crafty much like my sister and my mother. and i started scrapbooking in 2004, making the most of scrapbooking materials that i can find in local bookstores until i stumbled upon the scrappin mom site and the ever-growing local scrapbooking resources in 2007. since then, it has become an addiction (in a nice way, i guess - heehee) and it also became my stress reliever. know more about me at tnapay.blogspot.com ~ thanks :)

Momma's Joy

Tna says, KAYA!

This is going to be the first time that I'll actually send in a layout inspired by a Kaya challenge. Being a working mom, I usually end up setting aside pages that only get to the conceptualization stage. But challenges and contests motivate me to get these pages done. I am not into the winning (but it would really be pleasing to win, of course), but just having a finished layout added to my album, for me, is already a job well done.

Journaling:
daddy & joaquin + silly faces & perfect timing

Materials Used:
Black DCWV and kraft cardstock; felt shapes; a 2-cm ribbon; AC Thickers Lax; MM tiny alphas; gold thread; white posies; black acrylic paint; Scenic Route rubon; Inksentials white pen; black gem; dymo.

Techniques Used:
