Things like this make one sympathetic to Robespierre.

The academic feverswamp left seems to permeate universities, which makes a wholesale replacement of them seem like the only option for a return to something approaching sanity:

//SHOCKING SEXISM AND RACISM BY LEFTIST PROFESSORS AT UNIVERSITY OF NEBRASKA

Campus Reform reports on a horrific incident that occurred at the University of Nebraska on Friday. Katie Mullen, a Nebraska sophomore, heads the Turning Point USA chapter on campus. She was “tabling” various posters (“Big Government Sucks” is a favorite), stickers and the like on the university’s campus.
As Ms. Mullen was manning her table, three or more professors began to harass her. They carried signs attacking Turning Point, screamed profanities, and shouted the usual drivel about “fascism,” “white supremacy” and so on. One of the teachers, Courtney Lawton, a PhD student and lecturer, gave Mullen the finger.
The professors created enough of a scene that a university administrator told Ms. Mullen that she would have to leave the area. Subsequently a campus police officer determined that she had a right to be where she was and allowed her to stay. Later, however, she was escorted away from the area for her own safety.//

For the love of decency, these are professors acting like "mean girls"!!!

And they have tenure!!!

*Sigh*

I wish I had tenure.

Liberal Fascism/Academic Fascism.

Virtue Community at John Hopkins demand that school condemn heretics who argue that transgender is a psychiatric condition.

Because, we know, that the best way to truth is when centralized institutions impose it on science.

//The basic gambit of the Western mode of scientific inquiry is that the competition of ideas will ultimately produce scholarly truth, or at least something close to it. This process must be decentralized and unencumbered by political dogma. For the Johns Hopkins administration to throw the weight of its authority behind one side or another in an ongoing scholarly debate in order to appease political activists would corrupt the process Jonathan Rauch has called “liberal science.” The university can help protect the integrity of academic thought by sending a strong message to the outraged petitioners that it will let its scholars’ work stand or fall on the merits.
