Or he could just stop taking the word "God" out when he quotes historical documents.

Obama to give "major speech" on his personal belief.

Yup, I'll be waiting for that; it should be informative in a kind of shallow and superficial way.

Apparently, Obama realizes that he has a bit of a public relations problem since a lot of Americans - including a majority of blacks and Democrats - believe that he is a Muslim.

Not that there is anything wrong with that.

From the article:

A major survey last fall, however, showed that a substantial and growing number of Americans believes that Obama - a self-described Christian - is Muslim.

Nearly one in five Americans believes Obama is a Muslim, up from about one in 10 Americans who said he was Muslim in 2009, according to the survey. It was conducted in July and August by the Pew Forum on Religion and Public Life.

Fewer than half of Democrats and African-Americans, core components of Obama's political base, correctly identified Obama as Christian.
One might miss the significance of that last paragraph. Fewer than half of Democrats correctly identified Obama as a Christian, which means that more than half incorrectly identified him as something else.

That should spell an end to the notion that the "Obama is a Muslim" trope is the invention of foaming at the mouth conservatives.

Also, the more we get to know Obama, the more we think he's not one of us.  The number of people who think that Obama is Muslim has doubled during the last year!  We've discovered that Obama has a reverse charisma; the more he talks the more he convinces people of the opposite of what he's trying to sell. People think that Obama had problem selling health care; the poor guy has trouble selling that he's authentically Christian.
