Howling Mad Lawrence O'Donnell provides cover for the unhinged left.

O'Donnell spends ten minutes telling his crazy leftist audience that the district attorney handed out the "wrong" "unconstitutional" law.

But keep the following in mind:

First, O'Donald is a liar and a propagandist. If he is talking, bet on him distorting or lying.

Second, there is a Missouri Penal 563.046 and it says what he quoted:

// (2) When he reasonably believes that such use of deadly force is immediately necessary to effect the arrest and also reasonably believes that the person to be arrested
(a) Has committed or attempted to commit a felony; or
(b) Is attempting to escape by use of a deadly weapon; or
(c) May otherwise endanger life or inflict serious physical injury unless arrested without delay.//

Sounds like Wilson had reason to believe that (a) and (b) had both occurred/would occur since Wilson had been attacked by Brown.

Third, O'Donald is a big fat liar.

Fourth, it took me 40 seconds of googling to get the data, but it's not like I'm MSNBC with researchers.

What our elite leftist moral superiors are saying about looting...

//White people deploy the idea of looting in a way that implies people of color are greedy and lazy, but it is just the opposite: looting is a hard-won and dangerous act with potentially terrible consequences, and looters are only stealing from the rich owners’ profit margins. Those owners, meanwhile, especially if they own a chain like QuikTrip, steal forty hours every week from thousands of employees who in return get the privilege of not dying for another seven days.

 And the further assumption that the looter isn’t sharing her loot is just as racist and ideological. We know that poor communities and communities of color practice more mutual aid and support than do wealthy white communities—partially because they have to. The person looting might be someone who has to hustle everyday to get by, someone who, by grabbing something of value, can afford to spend the rest of the week “non-violently” protesting. They might be feeding their family, or older people in their community who barely survive on Social Security and can’t work (or loot) themselves. They might just be expropriating what they would otherwise buy—liquor, for example—but it still represents a material way that riots and protests help the community: by providing a way for people to solve some of the immediate problems of poverty and by creating a space for people to freely reproduce their lives rather than doing so through wage labor.

Modern American police forces evolved out of fugitive slave patrols, working to literally keep property from escaping its owners. The history of the police in America is the history of black people being violently prevented from threatening white people’s property rights. When, in the midst of an anti-police protest movement, people loot, they aren’t acting non-politically, they aren’t distracting from the issue of police violence and domination, nor are they fanning the flames of an always-already racist media discourse. Instead, they are getting straight to the heart of the problem of the police, property, and white supremacy.

Why all the investment in an 18 year old man who robbed a store and assaulted a police officer?

Could it be political?

//SO WHY ALL THE FERGUSON HOOPLA? Last time the Dems and Sharpton made a big deal of a shooting, it was the Trayvon Martin case, hyped to keep up black turnout for 2012. But now there’s not an election. So why Ferguson, and why now? Polling indicates that most people aren’t all that sympathetic, and protests that tie up Interstates, etc. aren’t going to attract swing voters.

But it’s not about swing voters. It’s about the base. And it’s not about the Democratic Party’s base, but about certain leaders’ base within the Democratic Party. This may be best understood as an intra-party struggle. Obama is the champion of the urban-black wing of the party, and because of him that wing has been on top. But his star is fading, black voters are beginning to realize that they haven’t benefited economically, and the next Dem nominee — whether it’s Hillary Clinton, Jim Webb, or Elizabeth Warren — will be from the white gentry-liberal wing of the Democratic Party. The riots, the marches, the traffic-blocking are a way of telling them that the Sharpton wing is still a force to be reckoned with, and to improve its bargaining power between now and 2016. At least, that’s the only way this — not at all spontaneous — street theater makes sense.//

NYT publishes Darren Wilson's address and the names of his wife and friends.

The mainstream media doesn't just want their friends to win - they want their class enemies murdered.

Update:  Snopes says the story is wrong.

On the other hand,The NYT article contains this:

Officer Wilson and Officer Spradling own a home together on Manda Lane in Crestwood, Mo., a St. Louis suburb about a half-hour drive from Ferguson.

They have scarcely been seen there since Mr. Brown was killed on Aug. 9. Neighbors said that within a few days of the shooting, Officer Wilson and Officer Spradling abruptly left their home.//

It also names the witnesses to the marriage and the name of Wilson's wife.

How is that information "newsworthy"?  Particularly in light of the death threats against Wilson and the riots and protests.

It looks like the same strategy that we saw in the Prop 8 campaign of publicizing the names of supporters of traditional marriage so that protests could be directed against their employers.

Now is the time we make our surprised faces...

...because it never was about election year race-baiting by Democrats and their media acolytes.

Evidence supports officer's account of shooting in Ferguson.

Why the people who break things and act like barbarians are winning.

Because there are a lot of scared people who are willing to side with the barbarians for peace and security.

Look at how this shopkeeper in Ferguson yells at a supporter of the cop because he doesn't want trouble. 

After all, it's not like the cop-supporters are going to burn down his shop if he yells at them.

A nightmare for Democrats.

More Hispanics tell Census that they are "White."

Over the past 10 years, a growing number of Hispanics have changed their race and origin to “white,” according to top Census officials.

While whites, blacks and Asians generally kept their status between the 2000 and 2010 U.S. Census review of the population, Hispanics, especially among younger immigrants, were quicker to change.

In a working paper titled “America’s Changing Races: Race and Ethic Response Changes between Census 2000 and the 2010 Census,” the authors found that at 9.7 million Hispanics changed their racial and origin status.

Of those, 2.3 million changed from “Hispanic-some other race” to “Hispanic white,” and 417,855 just declared themselves “white.”

The study, published last week, is the largest ever to look at how Census respondents change their racial status between the population surveys taken every decade.

The Census Bureau determined that between 2000 and 2010, 8.3 percent of Hispanics changed their “race and/or Hispanic origin response.” For blacks it was 5 percent and just 1 percent for whites.

Quick! More racial polarization!
