Since you know the Huffington Post and Mother Jones played it as if it were the Pentagon Papers, the Lewinsky scandal, and Watergate all rolled into one, lets take a look at how CNN played it:Secretly recorded videos of Mitt Romney at a private fund-raiser emerged online Monday, quickly catching fire as material potentially damaging to the Republican presidential nominee. In the footage, taped with a hidden camera, Romney argued nearly half of Americans will vote for President Barack Obama because they rely on government support, made apparent jokes about wishing he had Latino heritage, and talks about a Chinese factory his former firm purchased. "There are 47 percent of the people who will vote for the president no matter what," Romney says in one clip. "There are 47 percent who are with him, who are dependent on government, who believe that, that they are victims, who believe that government has the responsibility to care for them. Who believe that they are entitled to health care, to food, to housing." Adding to his argument about entitlement, Romney said his "job is not to worry about those people." "I'll never convince them they should take personal responsibility and care for their lives," he added.I'm tempted to bet a doughnut that nothing he said offended you yet. And if he did offend you . . . stop looking for a free doughnut, you self-proclaimed victim! Take responsibility for your own doughnut procurement! So you knew the Obama campaign would go beyond red alert to ultraviolet alert. "It's hard to serve as president for all Americans when you've disdainfully written off half the nation," said Obama campaign manager Jim Messina in a statement, adding that most who would excuse the statement are probably clinging, bitterly, to their guns and religion. Okay, that last part was just implied. Howard Kurtz, at 8:07 p.m.: "I think the Romney 47 percent fundraising video has already been shown more often than the Rodney King beating tape." Zero Hedge: "So in essence Romney alienated those who wouldn't vote for him anyway. Does that about sum it up?" Kevin Williamson: "47 percent? I think Romney was being conservative in his estimate." Gabe Malor: "Did I understand right? When Obama says that Americans aren't paying their fair share, it's cool. But when Romney says it, it's not cool?" Andy Levy points out, "Well, politically-speaking, dissing 47% of the country is probably worse than dissing "the one-percent," right?" Clearly someone at Mother Jones has studied at the Breitbart/O'Keefe School of Hidden Camera/Audio Report Releases, because this morning, they released another batch:Mother Jones has obtained video of Romney at this intimate dinner and has confirmed its authenticity. The event was held at the home of controversial private equity manager Marc Leder in Boca Raton, Florida, with tickets costing $50,000 a plate. During the freewheeling conversation, a donor asked Romney how the "Palestinian problem" can be solved. Romney immediately launched into a detailed reply, asserting that the Palestinians have "no interest whatsoever in establishing peace, and that the pathway to peace is almost unthinkable to accomplish." Romney spoke of "the Palestinians" as a united bloc of one mindset, and he said: "I look at the Palestinians not wanting to see peace anyway, for political purposes, committed to the destruction and elimination of Israel, and these thorny issues, and I say there's just no way.Good heavens! Imagine if America had a president who didn't advance the Israeli-Palestinian peace process for four years! It would be like . . . well, Obama, Bush, Clinton, Bush, Reagan . . .

Two weeks after Democrats celebrated the joys governmental dependency, Democrats are OUTRAGED that Romney pointed out that Democrats are the party of those dependent on the Government.
After all, it's not like the Democrats didn't feature a woman whose only chief expertise is being a 31 year old perpetual student who publically demands that the government make the Catholic Church pay for her contraceptives because she - and kazillions of others - were unable to pay $9 a month for contraceptives without the government's help.
