Happy Friday, peeps! It's time for another
As You See It challenge! Here's a fun one: Something I Borrowed! Yikes!
I have so many stamps, I rarely borrow anything!! But I did borrow this stamp set from my sister (another one from 1997!) called Bees and Blossoms; I always loved it and she rarely stamps any more, even though she does raise bees! So my luck! Here is my notecard-sized creation:
I used the challenge from
House of Cards for this month too, which is to use the colors and/or florals in a corner, and I used the flowers in a corner:
I first stamped the honeycomb image several times on Crumb Cake cardstock with Sahara Sand ink, then stamped the flower image with Memento ink and colored it with my blends. I stamped the bee skep on the Crumb Cake and again on a scrap of Crushed Curry, colored and cut it out, then adhered it on top of the original image with dimensionals:
I added a little ribbon of Crushed Curry and some subtle sequins, then stamped the sentiment at the top:
I need a card for an upcoming birthday for I think I'll add a sentiment to the inside for that special someone!
I hope you'll show us something that you "borrowed" and created a card with...it's fun to have stamping friends who are willing to share things! If you don't have any borrowed stamps, maybe it's a borrowed idea...use your imagination and share it with us at
As You See It!
Every day after school we make popcorn in my old air popper:
Sometimes we look at the popcorn to see if we can see shapes or animals in it:
I thought this one looked a wee bit like a crab:
And Cassidy thought that this looked like a hippo; or maybe there's a lion's face in there?!
Anyway, it doesn't last long enough to be critiqued too much...she gobbles it up! Enjoy your day and be blessed!
