Friends We'll Be

Happy dreary Monday, peeps!  Rainy day here!  I did a wee bit of stamping over the weekend and used the sketch from FMS...getting it in here quickly....and also happened to use the color palette from Sunday Stamps as well:

I wanted a bee-themed thank you card for a customer, so I pulled out a really old SU set called Bees & Blossoms, and some DSP from last year:

I stamped the image in Stazon and watercolored it in, but I wasn't 100% happy with the sentiment background.  In my mind I was thinking it would look a little different, LOL!  Anyway, after lining the honeycomb up a few times with my old-fashioned Stampamajig, I wasn't going to toss it!

I added a Pale Papaya mat and adhered everything to a Crumb Cake card base.  Hopefully she'll like it!! Thanks so much for popping by today!

I think babysitting may be in Cassidy's future!

She looks pretty comfortable holding the wee daughter of one of Dana's friends!  Enjoy your day and be blessed!

Fusion Bee Friendship

Happy Saturday, peeps!  I have a quick card today using the sketch and theme at Card Fusion:

I have lots of bee-themed stamps, they're one of my favorites, so you may see a few more bee creations coming your way!  Meanwhile, because the papers are so cute, I used some Honey Bee's The Bee's Knees DSP along with an old SU stamp to create my quick card today:

I cut the papers to fit, rounding the bottom edges with a corner rounder punch, then added the sentiment and scalloped mat:

I fussy-cut a little bee out of the leftover DSP and added a Daffodil Delight ribbon for fun!  All the bees' wings are glittered up with some Wink of Stella...such a cute effect!  I left the inside blank for whatever occasion I might need!  Thanks for popping in today!

We took Cassidy on a couple of errands yesterday and then to lunch...where she got a kid's portion of spaghetti!  I would hate to see the adult size, LOL!

Needless to say, John will be having spaghetti leftovers today!  Enjoy your day and be blessed!

AYSI174 Something I Borrowed

Happy Friday, peeps!  It's time for another As You See It challenge!  Here's a fun one:  Something I Borrowed!  Yikes!

No automatic alt text available.

I have so many stamps, I rarely borrow anything!!  But I did borrow this stamp set from my sister (another one from 1997!) called Bees and Blossoms; I always loved it and she rarely stamps any more, even though she does raise bees!  So my luck!  Here is my notecard-sized creation:

I used the challenge from House of Cards for this month too, which is to use the colors and/or florals in a corner, and I used the flowers in a corner:

I first stamped the honeycomb image several times on Crumb Cake cardstock with Sahara Sand ink, then stamped the flower image with Memento ink and colored it with my blends.  I stamped the bee skep on the Crumb Cake and again on a scrap of Crushed Curry, colored and cut it out, then adhered it on top of the original image with dimensionals:

I added a little ribbon of Crushed Curry and some subtle sequins, then stamped the sentiment at the top:

I need a card for an upcoming birthday for I think I'll add a sentiment to the inside for that special someone!

I hope you'll show us something that you "borrowed" and created a card with...it's fun to have stamping friends who are willing to share things! If you don't have any borrowed stamps, maybe it's a borrowed idea...use your imagination and share it with us at As You See It!

Every day after school we make popcorn in my old air popper:

Sometimes we look at the popcorn to see if we can see shapes or animals in it:

I thought this one looked a wee bit like a crab:

And Cassidy thought that this looked like a hippo; or maybe there's a lion's face in there?!

Anyway, it doesn't last long enough to be critiqued too much...she gobbles it up!  Enjoy your day and be blessed!
