Ice Cream Birthday

Happy Tuesday, everyone! I needed a birthday card for a sweet little girl at church, so I combined three challenges to creat one for her!  It uses the sketch from Retro Rubber, the recipe from As You See It and the challenge to use three different DSPs at Shopping Our Stash:

I pulled out two retired sets, Sweet Ice Cream (2021) and Time of Year (2016):

It's hard to see here, but the ice cream, cone and sentiment are all embossed with clear embossing powder.  I used papers from Authentique for the ice cream and the background panel; the gingham tag is from Bo Bunny:

I added some sequins and a few glimmer paper stars for extra pop!  I wish you could see the shine on the embossed pieces, it looks really cool!  I hope she likes it!

Thanks for popping in today!  Enjoy it and be blessed!

GDP439 Ice Cream Birthday

Happy (rainy) Monday, peeps, happy April! Hope you had a nice weekend! I spent some time with family, John stayed home with a bad cold!  Anyway, since I already had all these fun papers on my desk from my card for yesterday, I decided to make another card for our pastor's daughter, whose birthday is also coming up soon!  So here we go:

I used the same papers, but chose the retired Sweet Ice Cream stamp set and matching builder punch to build a fun sweet treat for her card, and it is on a wobbler mechanism, so when she gets her card, the ice cream will wobble!

Just stamped a simple sentiment from the same set on the inside:

I am entering this at the Global Design Project challenge this week, as they are looking for sweet treats!

And we had a chance to see this little sweet treat Coby yesterday too!

Cassidy sprained her ankle on Friday so she was on crutches, but it didn't stop her from cuddling her little cousin, even if he did look a wee bit grumpy!  Thanks for visiting today--enjoy it and be blessed!

CAS Happy Summer

Happy Monday, peeps! Stamp Camp tonight, so this is going to be quick and CAS!!  Three challenges:  Just Us Girls wants three of something; I chose the center column of summer and single layer for the Tic Tac Toe, and CAS on Sunday's theme is "Summer"!

I got this Pretty Pink Posh surfboard set a few years back and it's barely gotten inky, so I thought this would be a good time!  Here we go:

I stamped the images in Memento Black, then added color with Blends.  In hindsight, I wish I had added some pink to the board on the left...it looks a little lopsided, color-wise!  I added some "splashes" as well as some pale aqua sequins:

And on the inside, a sentiment from the retired Sweet Ice Cream:

This will make a great August birthday card for some youngster or young-at-heartster, LOL!

Here's a little youngster I saw on my walk yesterday...and she had a twin but she was camera-shy, although I have seen them both popping in and out of my neighbor's cornfield!

Thanks for popping in today--enjoy it and be blessed!

CAS Birthday Ice Cream

Happy Thursday, peeps!  Quick card today as we are having a big picnic tonight for our church small group! That's one thing our church does well---EAT!  And I have a card that would qualify for our own Paper Players challenge this week too...check it out:

I still have the Sweet Ice Cream bundle from last year, because it makes for a quick and easy card...just stamp, punch and adhere!  I used some Grapefruit Grove and Pumpkin Pie inks for the ice cream, and some Crumb Cake and Pecan Pie inks for the cone!  It all went on a strip of Dandy Designs DSP:

I had a stitched rectangle already cut, so I stamped my words in Calypso Coral, along with a sentiment on the inside:

This is going to a guy in my church, so I didn't put any glitter, sequins or Wink of Stella on it....other than the stamped sprinkles, his cone is PLAIN!  The sketch I used is from CAS Colours & Sketches:

Thanks for popping in today---enjoy it and be blessed!

In(k)spire Me You're So Cool

Happy (rainy) Monday, peeps!  I can't complain about the rain after the gorgeous weekend we had!  And we needed some rain anyway!  I did some quick stamping this morning, always needing birthday cards, so I used the sketch only from In(k)spire Me:

I pulled out a retired set call Sweet Ice Cream because I had some fun ice cream cone papers I wanted to use:

This is one of those sets I will never part with...such fun images and sentiments!  I stamped the cone in Baked Brown Sugar and the ice cream in Polished Pink, then added some In Color glimmer paper accents for the vertical portion of the sketch.

The sentiment is from the same set, and also has a glimmer paper mat:

The sentiment on the inside was stamped with Sweet Sorbet along with some Flirty Flamingo "sprinkles"!

Added to my slim pile of b-day cards!

The queen of Sheba:

Or perhaps I should say the "queens" of Sheba:

Thanks so much for visiting today! Enjoy your day and be blessed!

"Sing to God, O kingdoms of the earth, sing praise to the Lord, to him who rides the ancient skies above, who thunders with mightly voice.  Proclaim the power of God, whose majesty is over Israel, whose power is in the skies.  You are awesome, O God, in your sanctuary; the God of Israel gives power and strength to his people.  Praise be to God!" TMS654 Mint Chocolate Chip Ice Cream

Hi peeps, happy Friday!  I have a quick, fun little card using the retiring Sweet Ice Cream stamp set and the Tuesday Morning Sketches sketch!  It features the Mackey family's FAVORITE ice cream flavor, mint chocolate chip!  I say the Mackey family because neither John nor Wayne like it...hahaha, more for us girls!  Anyway, here's the sketch:

And here's the card:

I started with a piece of Hand Penned DSP that features a stripey Mint Macaron design, and "stitched" the edges with the Stitchery zigzag stamp.  I stamped the ice cream in Mint Macaron and decided to add a  Soft Suede "chocolate" dip as well!  I added some chocolate chips, then punched them both out and set them atop a Crumb Cake cone!  They were all mounted in a Basic White circle diecut with a Stitched Shapes circle, then a mat of Early Espresso and scallop mat of Mint Macaron.  The sentiment was diecut with the Stitched So Sweetly dies.  I did add some Wink of Stella to the ice cream and sprinkled on some starry sequins:

I had cut apart the birthday sentiment a while ago because I like to be able to "stack" the words on top of each other instead of using them lengthwise.  The photopolymer stamps are easy to cut apart and just as easy to line up again if you want to use them in their original position!  I stamped these in Mint Macaron and it was done!  Thanks for popping in today!

And I am also entering this at Festive Friday, since I have food, birthday, punches and pastels in my card!

Enjoy your day and be blessed!

Fusion Popsicle

Hi peeps!  Happy April! A quick card today using the sketch at Fusion.........I LOVE those bunnies, but it wasn't in the cards for that today!  I wanted to use the Sweet Ice Cream set which is retiring soon, and I paired it with some Pansy Petals DSP.  First, the sketch:

And here is the card:

The right vertical panels were created from a gingham panel of Pansy Petals and a diecut Pale Papaya piece, diecut with a die from the Stitched Triangles die.  The half circle is also from Pansy Petals. I stamped the popsicle in Pale Papaya and Calypso Coral, then added some Sequins for Everything:

I also embossed the front of the card with the Circles & Dots embossing folder.  I added a few drips to the sentiment panel, then stamped another sentiment on the inside:

That's it for today!  Thanks for popping in!  Enjoy your day and be blessed!

IM455 in Peach

Happy Wednesday, peeps!  I have a fun card for you today using the Inkspire Me sketch for this week:

They have colors too, but I chose to use the sketch only; I needed a special thank you for a special someone and the Sweet Ice Cream set fit the bill perfectly!  I matched it with some Hand-Penned DSP, and here we go:

I stamped my ice cream scoops in Pale Papaya and Mango Melody and added some matching sprinkles and "sequins"! The sentiment is from Many Messagess:

The cone is Cinnamon Cider and I embossed it with the retired Dainty Diamonds embossing folder.  I mounted them on one of the largest Tailored Tag diecuts, but since they do not have a fishtail at the bottom, I took a Best Borders die and created the bottom!  Then I stamped it with one of the splattery stamps from the new SAB set Textures and Frames as well as the sprinkles from the ice cream stamp:

And here's the inside:

This was tons of fun to make!  Thanks for popping in today!

Cassidy went to her first Phillies game last week...and they won!

Enjoy your day and be blessed!

PP544 Signs of Summer

Hi stampers!  It's Sunday and time for a new Paper Players challenge!  Ann is our hostess and here's her theme for us this week:

I was enamored by that cute little watermelon up in the corner, and the In Colors of Positively Pink and Just Jade seemed to fit perfectly!  So here we go with my CAS creation:

I simply cut the "watermelon" slice with dies from the Layering Circles dies, and stamped the "seeds" with the ice cream drip stamp from Sweet Ice Cream!  I layered it on a Basic White panel that I embossed with the Stitched With Whimsy dies.  I added a sentiment from Welcoming Window, then punched out the corners with the Detailed Trio punch and mounted it on a 4 1/4" square card base of Positively Pink:

I used the sketch from Fab Friday as my layout:
There are so many possibilities with Ann's challenge....summer will soon be upon us in the US and I am sure you can find some inspiration for your stamping!  Be sure to check the Paper Players blog to see what the DT created, and share yours with us as well!  Thanks for popping in today!

Just two dogs checkin' out the neighborhood!

Enjoy your day and be blessed!

Just a Couple of Cards

Happy Saturday, peeps! Oh, and Happy May Day!!  In between watching my birds and puttering around the house, I was able to make a couple of cards for a few challenges yesterday!  The first card uses the FMS sketch challenge along with the colors from Just Add Ink

I used the upcoming Hand Penned Petals set along with a sentiment from Lots of Heart:

The florals were stamped in Memento Black, then filled in with So Saffron and Garden Green:

I added some "sprinkles" from Sweet Ice Cream and a couple little In Color Jewels for sparkle!

The second one is for the Fusion challenge and the Krafty Chicks challenge, which is Anything Goes:

I don't make Mother's Day cards as a rule, as both our moms have passed away, but I loved the idea of using a mother and baby image on just a simple "hello" card, especially this sweet little elephant pair from Wildly Happy, which is retiring soon:

I stamped them in Stazon Black ink and watercolored them with Smoky Slate and Blushing Bride, then created a tag, matted in Blushing Bride:

I stamped a sentiment from Here's a Card, creating a couple of banners, and as an afterthought, made a bow with the Pierced Blooms die and added another In Color jewel! The background is some retired Gingham, also in Smoky Slate. I love this combo of gray and pink!

At Jameson's birthday party, the craft activity was painting flower pots!  We have NO lefties in our family, these boys must have gotten their left-handedness from their momma's side of the family, LOL!

Thanks for popping in today!  Enjoy your day and be blessed!
