Perfectly CAS Hugs

Happy Wednesday, everyone!  I have a clean-and-simple card for you today; the Perfectly CAS challenge wants to see diecuts!

I actually had these diecuts on my desk already cut and stamped; I was planning to use them for the Paper Players challenge on Sunday, but changed my mind, so I put them to use on this card!

The florals from All Things Fabulous were stamped and diecut, then adhered to the card with some foliage behind it.  The sentiment was stamped on a Tailor Made tag and tucked in, and embellished with a Genial Gem:

I am also slipping this into the Krafty Chicks CAS challenge, just in the nick of time!

I found out yesterday that my aunt in Florida, whom I haven't seen in years, has passed away, so this will go to my cousins as a sympathy card.  Thanks so much for visiting today!

"But the wicked will perish; though the Lord's enemies are like the flowers of the field, they will be consumed, they will go up in smoke.  The wicked borrow and do not repay, but the righteous give generously."  Psalm 37:20-21

Perfectly CAS Shells

Happy Tuesday, peeps!  It's an early day, I pick up Cassidy at 7:15 and we have some errands to run and then who knows what we'll get into!  I quick made a card last night before bedtime, using the 1/3 corner challenge at Perfectly CAS, and the shell challenge at Fusion:

I am not sure if my card is CAS enough, as I do have some layering of my shells, but I still like the simplicity of it, so I am sticking with it!  Here we go:

I haven't used Very Vanilla very much lately, so I started by sponging the lower right corner with some Balmy Blue ink, then stamped a really old Cornish Heritage Farms Cheesecloth background stamp over top in Sahara Sand ink.  Pulling out Friends are Like Seashells, I stamped and lightly colored in some shells, starfish and sand dollar with Blends, then fussy-cut them out; I do have the dies, but I wanted to have no "halo" around the edges:

I added a few gold metallic pearls and a sentiment from the same set. This makes me feel happy--almost like being at the beach!  Thanks for popping in today! Enjoy it and be blessed!

Happy Mice

Happy Monday peeps!  Wow, we are having some crazy weather here in PA...snow, sleet, more snow, wind and COLD!!  Perfect day to stay inside and stamp!  I made a little birthday card for my stash using three challenges:  Perfectly CAS#11, Inspire.Create #083, and Addicted to CAS #190:

So here we go:

I began by stenciling my "pattern" on the bottom of a Thick White card base with SU's Basic Pattern Decorative Mask in Coastal Cabana with a blending brush.  The mice from Colorado Craft Company were stamped in Memento Black, then colored with Blends and diecut:

I added some Wink of Stella to the gift, although you can't see it, added a sentiment and some sequins....I am not quite sure how that lime green one got in there....might have to do some surgery to remove that one and replace it with another, LOL!  The final addition was stamping the inside sentiments:

I'll add this to my stash; it will probably go to a sweetie pie from church!  Thanks for popping in today!

Cassidy had to make a Valentine's project for school and she chose to make a mailbox, with a little help from Mommy!  Every good project starts with a rough drawing (and can you see the long division problem up in the corner?  I am so impressed her school teaches the good old-fashioned way!):

Some measuring and tracing:

Mommy's hands are a little stronger, so she cut out the cardboard pieces:

As well as putting the hot glue gun to a good workout:

I'll share more later!  Enjoy your day and be blessed!

"Therefore everyone who hearts these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock.  The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock. But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand.  The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell with a great crash."  Matthew 7:24-27

CAS Thinking of You

Happy Wednesday, peeps!  I have a couple of CAS cards for you today; I finally got my SU order, so I hope to play with those goodies today!  Meanwhile, the Color Dare 394 wants Monochromatic Greens:

Click Photo for Color Dare Challenge #394 "Monochromatic Green" - CLOSES Thursday May 28th

and I needed to amp up my birthday card stash, so I pulled out the soon-to-retire Time for Tags and some shades of green:

I stamped the tag in Call Me Clover and used Blends and a Blender Pen and ink to color it in, then embellished it with a little green glimmer paper star:

I punched it out with the matching tag punch, then used some Call Me Clover DSP and the Nested Label die for my layers.  I adhered them to some Granny Apple Green layers to add another green!  On the inside, I stamped images from Bonanza Buddies, as well as a couple more glimmer stars:

My second card is for Just Add Ink's Thinking of You challenge, Perfectly CAS's Animal challenge, and CAS On Sunday's Use a Die challenge:

My Community Bible Study stopped face-to-face meeting, obviously, but we were continuing via Zoom, and my leader shared some really cute paper plates she had gotten earlier in the year for our last meeting, which is always a lovely brunch with beautifully decorated tables and a sharing time.  The plates had a big giraffe on them, very cute, and I thought I would use the one giraffe stamp I had to make her a thank you card:

I stamped my giraffe from 100 Proof Press in Cajun Craze and fussy-cut him out, then layered him on another Nested Label diecut panel.  I stamped an image from Gallery Grunge in Terracotta Tile, and added a sentiment from Daily Bread Design's Mini Tag Sentiments.

My top Very Vanilla layer is also diecut with MFT's Wonky Stitched Rectangle die for some additional interest!  Now, to get this out in the mail!

I haven't had any Cassidy pictures lately, but I thought I would share this photo of my minister's kids; they built a "teepee" in their backyard:

Between that and the treehouse that John built for them, they'll be set for all their outdoor summer activities!  Thanks for popping in today--enjoy your day and be blessed!
