Happy Tuesday, peeps! Today's card is for the Muse Challenge 162, which is to use my sweet friend Tracey McNeeley as your muse; here is her card:
as well as the Global Design Project, which is also to CASE the designer, Krista Frattin, and her card:
Sooooo.....I was experimenting with some of my cheapo watercolor paper and the florals from Flower Patch, and it just wasn't working out. I diecut them, then let them dry, and surprisingly, after they dried, they kind of curled up and had a soft look to them, so I decided to give them a second chance, LOL! I liked Tracey's brightly-colored diecut flowers, but I originally was going to use a more organic style DSP for my background, hence the watercolor look. So, after all that, here's my card:
I had a piece of white cardstock already embossed with a cloud embossing folder, so I turned it on the debossed side, added my flowers, a sentiment from Silhouettes & Script, a couple of sequins and some white cord from my stash.
To make the flowers and leaves, I stamped them on the cheapo watercolor paper in Daffodil Delight, Melon Mambo, Blushing Bride and Wild Wasabi, then sprayed them lightly with a mist of water. I quickly dried them with a heat tool and diecut them, then let them dry completely. After they dried, I stamped the centers:
For a bold touch, I added black mats to match the black sentiment! So I have bright flowers like Tracey, as well as a black sentiment! Thanks for popping in today!
Another fashion look....and more playdoh birthday celebrations! This is at about 7am, hence the sleepy look and slightly mussed hair!
Enjoy your day!
