AHSC502 Christmas Cookies

Happy Wednesday, stamping friends!  I am still making Christmas cards....one can never have enough, LOL!  I pulled out an old set called Nothing Sweeter and its matching dies, Sweetly Stitched, to make a Christmas cookie card!  And these cookies have no calories! I used the Atlantic Hearts sketch:

And here we go:

I embossed the "icing" with Craft white ink and white embossing powder, then added "sprinkles" of Real Red and Garden Green.  The dies not only cut out the cookies, they also give them a fun embossing as well!

I added a little heat-embossed tag and some gumdrop DSP and it's ready to go in the mail!  And here's the inside...the embossed star stamp on top of the tree actually stamps three stars, so I stuck the other two on the inside:

Thanks for popping in today---enjoy it and be blessed!

IB100 WIshing You A Pink Christmas

Happy Thursday---again, Happy Thanksgiving if you're in the states!  It's time for the 100th Inspired Challenge, and I went pretty simple with my card..in fact, I already had this frame diecut and in my Blushing Bride folder, so it was just a matter of embellishments!

And here is Laurel's photo prompt:

I stamped the gift on Blushing Bride cardstock with Soft Suede ink; I experimented with a couple of different ways to add some glitz to the image and finally, I just added a piece of Blushing Bride Glimmer paper to the center:

I backed the frame with some retired Blushing Bride striped DSP and for a final embellishment, a glimmer snowflake and brown pearl:

The white embossed background was in my stash; apparently a generous stamping friend made some and sent them to me...several years ago, so I don't remember who (maybe Carol L?) so I put it on a Crumb Cake card base and adhered it all together! Thanks for popping in today!

I think pink for Christmas is a fun retro look!  Apparently it's a popular theme at Longwood as well; these are displays in their gift shop:

And aren't these mugs sweet?

Enjoy your day and be blessed!

IB81 Smore Gingerbread Men

Happy Thursday, everyone!  It's time for another Inspired By challenge, and you're gonna laugh when you see what the inspiration photo is today....it is NOT gingerbread men!  So here's my card:

And here's the inspiration photo Laurel chose for us:

Yum, don't they look like fun little treats?!  Just not gingerbread treats!  But I have a confession...I don't like s'mores.  I know, weird.  I like all the components individually, I just don't care for the combination! Way too messy for me!  BUT....I thought I could combine the elements....gingham, graham cracker tan, chocolate brown, marshmallow vanilla and silver---well, silver---together to create a little cookie sheet of gingerbread men:

The cookies from Scensational Season were stamped in Early Espresso on Crumb Cake--they look a little burnt, don't they?--and placed on a Silver Foil cookie sheet on which I embossed lines on the back to make it look like "sides".  I added some elements from the Apron Builder die set, as well as sentiments and stars from the Nothing Sweeter set from last Christmas:

For fun, I even die-cut a felt oven mitt...if I'd had more time, maybe I could have stitched a little design on it!  It was a fun card to put together!  Now, how will you be inspired by our photo?  I hope you'll share your creation with us too!  Can't wait to see what it is!

When you have a tornado warning, and you've got pizza, you eat it in the bathtub!!!

Enjoy your day and be blessed!

PP418 Colorful Cookies

Happy Sunday, peeps!  It's time for another Paper Players challenge, and Laurie has a neato color palette for us:

At first glace, I kind of glossed over this Nothing Sweeter set in the holiday catalog, but I saw a few things done with it, especially with the matching framelits, and decided I "needed" it!  I made some paper "cookies" using Laurie's colors and laid them out on a baking sheet with an oven mitt and a spatula:

I guess they're pretty big cookies, aren't they?!  I stamped them in Poppy Parade and So Saffron, then cut them out with the framelits; the mitt and spatula are from the retired Perfect Mix set, and the baking sheet was cut with a die from Avery Elle:

I stamped the sentiment using the Stamparatus, stamping once in Poppy Parade and then again in Versamark after cleaning off the stamp.  Then I heat-embossed it with some clear embossing powder!  The cookies are embossing with white embossing powder as well!  It all went on a gingham paper "tablecloth" that happened to match the challenge colors as well!

This set it a wee bit time-consuming, but it makes the CUTEST cookies!!  I hope you'll play with our challenge this week...check out what the others created:
