DSCF6933-001

Happy Christmas Eve, everyone!  I have a few last-minute things to do, but basically, just about everything is done for tomorrow!  I had some stamping time yesterday too….unfortunately, I needed a sympathy card, as life and death know no holidays!  I had some paper and a big seam binding bow sitting on my desk, unused from a previous project, and they were perfect for the Nacho Average Challenge this week, which was a sketch:

From there, it was an easy card to make:

This pattern from the All is Calm series actually has snowflakes on it, but I think it is still appropriate enough to use for a sympathy card.  I mounted the banner on a Smoky Slate card, added a couple of butterflies from Papillion Potpourri, and a sentiment from Petite Pairs.  I also embossed my card and added some pearls.  I dyed some white seam binding with Sahara Sand ink, but I think it still coordinates with the Smoky Slate:

And since I had this washi tape on my desk from my Paper Pumpkin, I added a strip along with the inside sentiment:

Hope your preparations are almost finished and you can relax a bit today!  Tonight we will have our candlelight service at church, one of my favorite events!  There is nothing like a darkened church with real candlelight and voices singing “Silent Night”!  I hope you have a blessed Christmas eve!

Felt Fun for NAC115

DSCF6171
Happy Wednesday, peeps!  Yay, we made it to the halfway point of the week!  I just loved the Nacho Average Challenge sketch this week, and since I haven’t played with them in a long time, I went to work!
A local gift shop owner asked me if I would put some hand-stamped Christmas cards in her shop, and of course, I said yes!  I have lots of cards already, but I thought I’d delve into some of the Christmas DSP that I don’t get a chance to use too often to make a few more!  These papers are from Authentique’s Two Christmases in One; the blue paper was stamped with an image from a retired Cornish Heritage Farm set called Winter Vintage Signage in Lost Lagoon ink (boy, I miss CHF!!); the sentiment is from Papertrey’s Daily Designs Sentiments, stamped in Cherry Cobbler.

I used a Nestie die to cut out a mitten  from the HUGE stash of felt I am hoarding, and added a little Candy Dot brad and floss bow!  A little line of embossing with SU’s retired Needlepoint EF finished it off.
While I had my felt out, I cut out a banner shape and created a tree:

The papers I used for this card are from Lily Bee’s Jingle line; I cut out a snowy stitched hill in Naturals White with a Lawn Fawn die, added a cardinal from SU’s Festival of Trees, some sequins from Sylvia’s etsy store,  and a sparkly star punched from some Dazzling Diamonds glimmer paper.  Sentiment is from Verve:

Using up some of my stash makes me happy!
Cassidy is quite the hostess, serving lunch to several of her dolls; today’s menu is cookies, carrots and corn!

Paper Players 192–One Last Easter Card

DSCF2268
Happy Easter—Happy Resurrection Day to everyone!  I have one last Easter card to share with you for Nance’s Paper Players clean and simple  challenge today!  Here we go:

I was lamenting last week that my washi tape supply (read: hoard) was being neglected, and I think Nance must have been reading my mind!  So I was thrilled to be able to use up a wee bit of it with today’s card:

I used two SU tapes and a renegade from my local craft store, along with the little bunny from Storybook Friends:

When I got this set, I cut all the sentiments away from the images so I could use them separately.  I stamped my bunny in Smoky Slate,  added my little sentiment and banner in Coastal Cabana, and finished it off with an egg from my sweet little (retired) Itty Bitties set, stamped in Strawberry Slush. I love these colors together with Daffodil Delight—so springy!   My sketch is from the Nacho Average Challenge for this week:

Hope you can play along with our washi challenge this week….remember, it’s a CLEAN & SIMPLE challenge!!!  I can’t wait to see what you create.  Here are the links to check out the other Players’ creations as well:
And since it’s Easter, here are a few pix of Cassidy with her Easter eggs:

Mojo Monday 281 and NAC36

DSCF3119

Hi everyone!  Just a quick post today, a monochromatic Easter card using SU’s Ears to You:

DSCF3117

I used the Mojo Monday sketch from this week:

as well as the Nacho Average Challenge colors:

Nac36

I colored the bunnies with markers, omitting the right one to fit in the circle.  I used papers from the Print Poetry pack, and made a little tag with the Lots of Tags die.  And I even stamped a few little Easter eggs on it with a stamp from the Itty Bitties set! Thanks for looking today!

Poor Cassidy….she has a little cold, and couldn’t even make it to bed after lunch….crashed on the couch:

Valentine Treat Bag

DSCF2794-001
Happy Wednesday!  I actually made something other than a card!!  Amazing!  The Nacho Average Challenge had a pretty color palette:
Nac32
although I didn’t pay attention to the Rose Red and used a few elements of Primrose Petals…..although I don’t think you can tell too much.  Anyhoo, I pulled out a little cello bag from last year and threw on a bunch of embellishments:
DSCF2795
I began by embossing the top with the hearts EF from Adorning Accents, and used the heart-shaped doily from the Artisan Embellishments Kit as a base.  I just kept adding elements until I felt I had enough….well, can you ever really have enough, LOL!?  This also qualifies for Shopping Our Stash Challenge, which is to use your oldest bling!  The little heart-shaped rhinestones are probably some of my oldest, that’s for sure!!!

Most of the stamping is from SU’s retired set, PS: I Love You; I did break out my new Papillion Potpourri and it’s coordinating punch, though!  Sweet!  AND the new pinwheel die!  Now, what should I put in this?  Maybe a big cookie or a few candies?  Hmmmm…I haven’t decided yet!    If you have any questions about any of the products I used here, just shoot me an email!  AND, I just saw Stampin' Royalty's Valentine/Love challenge....so I'll enter that there as well! :D

Miss Cassidy tried alphabet soup for the first time a couple days ago:
