Holiday Hugs for AAA Cards

Happy Monday everyone!  Is it hot enough for you?  It sure is hot here!  So I have a quick little Christmas card for the AAA Cards Challenge:

I recently won some Sugar Pea stamps and this little Gnome For Christmas set was one I chose:

This is just a little notecard; I stamped and colored this little guy, then diecut and mounted him and his tree on an embossed panel, finishing with a diecut sentiment:

The inside sentiment reads "from our gnome to yours"!!  I think looking at this little gnome makes me feel a wee bit cooler! Thanks for popping in today!

We went to a picnic at my nephew's on Saturday and it was fun to see some friends and family members we haven't seen for a while.  Dana's family wasn't able to attend, but I did see this little blueberry-eating dude again!

Enjoy your day and be blessed!

SPDMIX12 Just a Line

Happy Friday, peeps!  Yay, the weekend is here! I have my second card for the Sugar Peas Design Mix it Up Challenge, using an oldie but goodie stamp set:

My sweet, generous friend Teri gifted me with this set called Just A Line, from 1997; I loved these line art images that SU used to have!  I got out some ink pads and my aquabrush and went to work!  First I stamped the image on SU's thick cardstock with Stazon ink and then just colored away; since it was a large image, I didn't color the background (plus I was sure I would mess it up!) and just filled in the images loosely!  I love this sweet little cat napping in the sun:

along with the little bluebirds:

and I wish I had some aprons like these....mine look a wee bit tattered compared to these pretty ones!

And on the inside:

I thought this fit with the laundry theme of the challenge!  Once I finished coloring, I diecut it with a Lil'Inker Stitched Rectangle die and mounted it on a card with a mat of Graphic 45's Secret Garden Patterns & Solids....a perfect country finish!  Thanks for looking!

Tomboy that she is, one of Cassidy's favorite gifts was a Nerf gun, LOL!  This one can even shoot around corners...John told her she could practice on the squirrels that steal my bird seed!

She showed Grampy how to load the bullets:

and of course, he had to take a turn!  I am not sure who was more excited about it, John or Cassidy!

Enjoy your day!

SPDSS52 and FF86 Hello Sunshine

Happy Friday, peeps!  My sweet friend Michelle is the guest designer at Sugar Pea Designs this month, so I had to play with their sketch:

I had a Paper Pumpkin set from a couple of months ago sitting on my desk and I thought it would be fun to make my own "designer paper" with all the little floral elements contained in the set!  I used the colors from Fab Friday:

and here we go:

I stamped the sunburst from Kinda Eclectic with Hello Honey and stamped a sentiment from the same set on top.....

and stamped the bottom panel with Bordering Blooms in Soft Sky for a nice subtle look!  Added a little Soft Sky banner and some fussy-cut flowers, and it was done!

Dana often frequents a nice Mexican restaurant, and since yesterday was Cinco de Mayo, they gave her a free Minion t-shirt:

and here's the little Minion herself:

You can tell how thrilled she was to have her picture taken!
